Summer is just around the corner and Rihanna is ready. The pop star/beauty mogul has announced a new Fenty Beauty summer collection that includes the brand’s first lip balm.
The new collection, which will be available on May 10, is bright and colorful. It includes Satin Lipstick, Vivid Liquid Eyeliner, Lip Balm and a Lip-Loving Scrubstick. In her announcement, Rihanna can be seen wearing several shades from the Vivid Eyeliner Trio — Baecae, Baeside and Baewatch — which features highly-pigmented, summer-inspired colors, such as Banana Blaze and Skinny Dip. The Satin Lipsticks are available in Hot Blooded and Motorboat.
The eyeliners include an extra-fine precision brush, and an array of colors, like mint green, hot pink and deep turquoise. A seven-shade line of satin-finish lip colors — Pousticles — are also included in the collection. In addition, Fenty Beauty’s first ever lip balm, named Pro Kiss, which is formulated with shea and mango butters, provides both gloss and hydration. The apricot seed scrub, which can be worn all day, keeps lips exfoliated and moisturized.
Rihanna, who may in fact be the hardest working woman in show business, gave fans a sneak peek at her new collection on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar‘s Beauty Issue last month, where she wore eye makeup in vibrant hues of yellow, red, pink, turquoise and teal. Fenty Beauty, which has had several high-profile releases since January, has added new shades to the Stunna lip paint line and Killawatt highlighter range, as well as a new concealer line.
There have also been hints that Rihanna may be working on a skincare line after she submitted a trademark application for the name Fenty Skin. In addition, the Barbadian singer and actress has been finishing up her ninth studio album and a luxury fashion venture with LVMH. Rihanna has recently starred in Guava Island, a musical film directed by Hiro Murai, which also stars Donald Glover, who created the film alongside his brother Stephen Glover. The film has received positive reviews from critics.
The summer collection products range from $16 to $35 and will be available on Fenty Beauty's website, Sephora, and Harvey Nichols.
