Back in 2003, a young girl by the name of Robyn Fenty and her two friends managed to land an audition with an American record producer who was visiting their home country of Barbados. The producer was instantly captivated by Robyn and after realizing that she had serious talent, he quickly sent her demo to Jay-Z, who immediately asked the young woman to come and audition for him. With his help, Robyn has become the amazing Rihanna we know and love today.

But it's always seemed that the relationship between Jay-Z's wife, Beyoncé, and Rihanna has been a little strained. He's such a critical figure in both their lives but they've never really bonded as far as we can see. And Beyoncé has certainly never collaborated with Rihanna the way she has with so many other young female artists. No one really knows how these two women feel about each other.

Perhaps their seven-year age difference is also a factor?

He has since apologized for the incident.
