Everyone's favorite imaginary BFF Emma Stone just showed off her latest hair color, and she looks like a new woman. The thirty-year-old actress revealed her new look at the 30th Annual Producers Guild Awards which took place at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles last Saturday the 19th, and it is safe to say she turned some heads on the red carpet. The La La Land actress is kicking off 2019 with a dark brown hair color, and people are absolutely loving it.
Emma Stone is known for her red hair, which she has been fairly consistent with during her career although it has shifted from a deeper red shade to softer cinnamon tones. What many people do not know, however, is that Emma's natural hair color is blonde and not red. As a matter of fact, it was the producer of Emma's debut movie Superbad, Judd Apatow, who requested that Emma dyed her hair red for the role, and in retrospective, it was probably a great decision.
As reported by Cosmopolitan, Emma has previously said that she loves the red hair on her and that it feels more natural to her than the blonde. The star's new auburn hair color does still carry some red hues, but it is definitely dark compared to her usual looks. This is however not the first time the Academy Award-winning actress dyes her hair dark brown. In 2016 she surprised everyone stepping out on the red carpet at the Met Gala with dark brown hair, so perhaps she just wanted to change things up again.
Emma has gone through several different hair colors; from platinum blonde to all shades of red and reddish browns, and it is interesting to see how much the color of the hair can change someone's appearance. Often when actresses change their hair drastically, it is for a movie role, which Emma learned back in 2007 with Superbad, so perhaps that is the reason for the change of hair color.
A lot of people like to make a change with the new year, and whether it is for a movie or her own personal reasons, Emma looks great in her new look.
