Ellie Goulding Rants About Receiving “Nonstop Questions” On Whether Or Not She’ll Have Kids

When a couple gets married, they're quickly bombarded with one particular question: "When are you going to have kids?" It's an innocent question, but it can become aggravating to have to answer it multiple times- especially if your answer hasn't changed. It can be annoying to have your family, friends, or even complete strangers pester you about when you'll start having children. After all, not every single woman can or wants to become a mother- and that's okay.

This is the exact point that English singer/songwriter Ellie Goulding, 32, recently drove home to her fans. During a Q&A she held on her Instagram Story earlier this week, Goulding ranted about how she's constantly asked about when she'll have kids. It all began with an innocent question that popped up during the aforementioned Q&A.

"Do you think of having baby(ies) any time soon? (the world need[s] two of you !)" one anonymous fan asked.

Goulding's response to this fan's question was both clear and polite. Yet it was definitely evident that she's tired of having to deal with it being asked day in and day out. But then again, if you were a celebrity who was constantly being asked about whether or not they're going to start a family at some point, you'd be tired too.

"Not particularly. As you can imagine it’s been a non stop question. I hate being made to feel like that’s what I’m supposed to be doing on this earth. I guess technically I am / But I see things differently in today’s world!" Goulding answered on her Instagram Story.

Having recently gotten married to art dealer Caspar Jopling, it's understandable that many fans want to know if Goulding and her new husband are planning to start a family. But if she and Jopling want to keep the matter to themselves, that's their prerogative. It's also their prerogative to openly admit that they're never having kids- with or without explanation. What ultimately matters is that the newlyweds can be happy together for the rest of their lives.
