It's official! Coldplay singer Chris Martin, 40 and Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota Johnson, 28, are an item. The two spent the previous weekend in Malibu with Johnson's dog, walking along a private beach cove and snuggling up to each other at every available chance. Johnson, who wore sunglasses with a loose, light-colored floral dress over her bathing suit wrapped her arm around Martin who stayed sun-smart in a black hat, dark long-sleeved shirt and black shorts.

They started their January beach weekend early on Friday when the pair was spotted at Soho House, a popular bar and restaurant in Malibu, where they seemed to enjoy their time together immensely with Johnson laughing and Martin looking on in good spirits.

Romance rumors first started to buzz around these two when Johnson was seen in the sound booth at a Coldplay concert in Argentina in November. Is she that big of a Coldplay fan, people wondered, to travel to Argentina? The rumors were soon confirmed when Martin and Johnson were caught by the paparazzi as they boarded a plane headed for Paris together last month in December.

No word yet on what Johnson and Martin's exes, Matthew Hitt and Gwyneth Paltrow respectively, have to say on this new Hollywood coupling but Martin and Paltrow are still on good speaking terms. After divorcing ten years into their marriage in 2014, they are both romantically involved with other people and they recently enjoyed a co-parenting vacation with their two children, Apple and Moses in the Caribbean and also celebrated Thanksgiving together as a family.

At this point in Johnson and Martin's relationship, it appears that they are still trying to keep things as quiet as possible because of the newness of their union.

"They didn't want to be seen together," an insider to the couple said. "So, at one point, Chris went ahead and Dakota sat on the sand. As the sun was going down, they walked back to the car and then went back to Chris' house."

As cuddly as these lovebirds are with each other, it doesn't seem likely that they will be able to stay quiet much longer.
