Irish actress Evanna Lynch, known best for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter series, plans to release a vegan, cruelty-free beauty subscription box later this year. Last week, she posted on her Instagram story a link to a survey asking followers to tell her what products they’d like to see in a vegan beauty box.

Lynch explained in her Instagram video (which also featured her cat, Puff) that she is trying to put an end to testing beauty products on animals. “I am very passionate about animals and I also love makeup, but I do not believe that the two should intersect,” she said.

The survey attached to her video is still available for anyone who would like to provide input. Lynch wanted to know what type of products and accessories users purchase most frequently (makeup, bath products, hair products, candles, purses, jewelry, etc.); what size the box’s products should be; and how much buyers are willing to pay for the box. The actress also mentioned in the survey that she would like a portion of the proceeds from each box to benefit animal rights charities.

Much like her Harry Potter persona, Lynch has been openly devoted to animal rights activism and veganism for several years. She currently hosts a podcast called The Chickpeeps in which she “explore[s], discuss[es], and unpick[s] the dilemmas faced by vegans in [their] quest to be more compassionate towards animals.”

Lynch has been known to advocate on social media for other brands that make an effort to end animal cruelty. She also starred in a PETA video earlier this year that exposed viewers to the testing animals endure in labs. In the video, Lynch faces these tests herself and describes the process as something like a "makeup tutorial". It is important to note that the tests are fake but meant to show that living creatures are being harmed in the beauty industry, but the end product is very impactful nonetheless.

While there are no specific details about Lynch’s beauty box subscription service launch at this time, she did mention that she will be collaborating with an unknown brand or individual (oh, please let it be Daniel Radcliffe!) in the creat. Be on the lookout for more announcements from Lynch about this project in the future.

What do you think about this soon-to-be subscription box? What sort of products would you like to see in it? Let us know in the comments!
