Two well-known style icons, Converse and Sanrio, have teamed up to release a new collection that is raising the bar for adorable fashion.
Sanrio is the Japanese company who is behind Hello Kitty, the most celebrated and iconic cartoon cat/girl on earth. She has enjoyed one of the most loyal fan bases since the 1970s, and the cartoon character has had her fair share of merchandise. Well, now Sanrio will be teaming up with Converse to create their own clothing and accessory collection. We're guessing that original Hello Kitty fans must be thrilled about this news.
Hello Kitty and her adorable family will be decorating three of Converse’s most popular designs, the Chuck Taylor All Star, the One Star, and the Chuck 70. There will be a total of six Hello Kitty sneaker models, with a variety of prints of Hello Kitty heads, polka dots, bows, and trademark colors of white, pink and red. Fans will likely be scrambling to get their hands on a pair when they become available, and thankfully, the wait won't be long. This collection is hitting stores tomorrow, on August 16th.
For the more hardcore Kitty fans, Hello Kitty and her friends line the side of a shoe with the very discreet tagline “Say hello to me when you see me”, turning the classic Chuck Taylor All Star into the epitome of cute. It really doesn’t get more kawaii-cool than that.

The collab doesn’t only include footwear but a variety of apparel and accessories, such as hoodies and t-shirts, long and short sleeve tops, phone pouches, and cross-body purses. They'll all have the iconic anthropomorphic cat at the forefront of every design. You can literally dress up from head to toe in Hello Kitty. The exact prices have yet to be disclosed, but, according to Teen Vogue, the entire collection will be priced between $35 to $100, making it a very reasonable and street style-approved fashion choice.
You can't go wrong with this Hello Kitty X Converse collaboration! They are both uncontested fashion staples whose popularity shows no signs of abating. We can't wait for these products to be released.
