The new ColourPop x Make-A-Wish Foundation makeup collection was designed by Delilah Juarez, a 17-year-old girl who is currently battling a form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma. Delilah hoped to create a line of makeup products to help other cancer patients like herself get a boost of confidence and beauty in the midst of their treatments, and ColourPop was more than happy to help her make her dream a reality.

Delilah had always enjoyed getting creative with makeup, and her cancer diagnosis certainly didn’t change that. Chemotherapy can cause some major changes to a person’s appearance, so Delilah loved having downtime between treatments to play with her favorite products in front of her mirror.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization that gives young cancer patients the opportunity to live out their dreams in spite of their diagnosis, worked with Delilah to bring her vision to life. She spent a day at ColourPop’s Los Angeles headquarters, where she worked with the company’s product developers.

What does Delilah’s collection include? The Strength Lip Bundle includes three shades of lip glass with fitting names like Make-A-Wish, New Day, and JJ, which Delilah named after her sister. The Journey Super Shock Shadow Foursome comes with four shades of eyeshadow, including three bronzy neutrals named DJ, Okay, and Cherish. The fourth shade is a fun sparkly turquoise color called Warrior that will give your lids a pop. Delilah says that she named this shade because she views herself as a warrior facing down cancer.

This collection is so much more than makeup—it also represents artistic expression, courage, and bravery. Delilah is definitely right to call herself a warrior, and through her struggles, she is still taking time to appreciate all of the small things that make life so beautiful.

100% of the proceeds from the sales of Delilah’s collection will be going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation. If you’d like to support the foundation and Delilah, buying the collection is a great way to do so. The collection will officially go on sale on October 11th.
