Christine Teigen, a.k.a the Clapback Queen, defeated yet another Internet troll on her Instagram Monday. She posted a photo from her recent appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, which showed off the short haircut that the model-turned-chef-turned-author debuted back in January. A “fan” then commented on the photo that Teigen’s face is too round for short hair. Of course, Teigen shut down the unsolicited beauty advice immediately.
“You look beautiful but you should grow your hair long again. Girls with round faces should not have short hair like that. It makes your face look huge. Been there….believe me….LONG HAIR,” Instagrammer @bcnjw said on the photo. This statement is obviously not true, because Teigen was totally rocking the look.
Naturally, Teigen broke out the sarcasm she is so well known for and set the commenter straight. “Honestly wow thank you because when I wake up each morning I wonder what @bcnjw would do and then I try to make her happy so this was a huge mistake on my part,” Teigen fired back in a reply comment. Her sass is the best sass.
Other fans jumped in to defend Teigen, saying that she would look amazing even bald or with a mohawk (true). Some reassured her that she is fabulous and gorgeous inside and out, and that she is doing a great job in life. The cookbook author didn’t seem to need reassurance, though.
Just last week, Teigen blasted another social media user away with her sarcasm at the 2018 Emmys. A fan “respectfully” asked if she was pregnant again on Twitter, and she responded by saying that she just recently had a baby. “But thank you for being sooo respectful,” she added, the sarcasm dripping off of all those extra o’s. These are just two of many instances where Teigen shut down trolls on social media, rightfully earning her the title of Clapback Queen. She just always knows what to say.
Teigen is also known for being very open about her insecurities and not caring about what anyone else has to say. She once posted a close-up photo on Instagram of the post-pregnancy stretch marks on her leg and included a powerful message about how this is her body now. She also noted in another tweet that it’s tough to find acceptance and body positivity in the social media world when there is always someone out there who you think looks better.
