Actor Chris Pratt recently shared the good news of him and girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger being engaged and everyone is so happy for both of them. The thirty-nine-year-old, who is fairly private on social media these days, uploaded a sweet photo of him and Katherine, moments after he proposed to her. He captioned it by saying how happy he is that she said yes and how excited he is about marrying her, and the photo shows the couple in an embrace with Katherines well-manicured hands in the center showing off the massive engagement ring.

Chris and Katherine have been dating since spring 2018, and it was reportedly Katherine's mother, Maria Shriver, who set them up on their first date. Katherine is an author and is, unsurprisingly, the oldest daughter of politician and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger, and the couple were seen out dining with the Terminator star in November last year. Family is very important to both Chris and Katherine, and they have been spotted spending time with each other's families on several occasions in the past six months. Chris and Katherine spent Thanksgiving with Katherine's mother, making it their first holiday together as a couple.

As reported by Cosmopolitan, Chris was married to actress Anna Faris from 2009 to 2017, when the couple quite unexpectedly announced they were getting a divorce. Chris said in a statement that although he thinks divorce 'sucks', they were trying to navigate the situation while remaining kind to each other.

Chris and Anna have a son together, Jack, who was born in 2012, but luckily the two have been making a big effort to keep their co-parenting as smooth as possible. For Halloween last year, Chris and Katherine joined Anna and her boyfriend Michael Barrett to take Jack trick or treating, and it is a nice change to see a Hollywood divorce and the co-parenting to follow is being done with the kid's best at heart. Anna even left a comment on Chris' Instagram post congratulating them both to their engagement.

Katherine is very private and rarely post anything on her Instagram that is not work-related, but it is safe to say people are now dying to hear a statement from her about the engagement. Now there's another Hollywood wedding to look forward to; perfect when there are no royal weddings in the pipeline for 2019.
