Does your nighttime skin routine consistent of usual healthy steps and ingredients, or stranger things? If it's the latter, skin care specialist to the stars, Joanna Vargas, shared some helpful tips with E! to help make your skin red carpet-ready even if the only red carpet you'll see this week is the tomato soup stain in the living room.
Just this past weekend, Vargas prepped the celeb skin of Stranger Things' star Natalia Dyer, as well as Mandy Moore, Greta Gerwig, Zoe Kazan, Elisabeth Moss, and Betty Giplin for the 2018 SAG Awards. Vargas is a top choice for the celebs looking to make their skin dewey and supple because she offers high-end treatments such as a medical-grade collagen mask, cryotherapy, vitamin-spiked oxygen and aqua face peels.
Beginning at three hundred dollars, not everyone can afford Vargas' newfangled treatments but by following her super secret advice previously known only to her elite clientele, you can have celeb-worthy skin, too. To start with, Vargas recommends exfoliating once per week during the winter season and twice per week in the summer."In summer, exfoliate twice a week," Vargas said. "My favorite exfoliation is to use a product that has physical and chemical exfoliation properties."
To up your game before an event, you can try sleeping in an exfoliating mask. It's especially important to do this if you have acne or problem skin. Secondly, remember that hydration is key so make sure that you have a good moisturizing routine. "I do a very gentle exfoliation and then do a series of masks to infuse the skin with hydration, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins to make the skin come alive again," Vargas said of the treatments she performs on the skin of her under-hydrated celebrity clients.
Finally, Vargas shared a tip about a tool that has been around for ages in China but is just now becoming a mainstream trend. We're talking about jade rollers. The jade stone has been utilized for thousands of years in China as it contains cooling properties and is said to have revitalizing Chi energies."You can pop it into the fridge to cool it and it will help a lot to depuff and increase circulation," Vargas said of the stone facial tool. Here's wishing your skin healthier things!
