It’s sometimes no shock who ranks among the richest celebrities in Hollywood. Obviously, movie stars rake in tens of millions for every picture and have no trouble showing that lifestyle off. Likewise, rock stars and rappers can also earn plenty not just with their projects but also via their various business enterprises. Then there are reality show stars who can also earn some major paydays. The Kardashians started off with just a small reality TV show and can now boast being billionaires. Often, it’s easy to figure out how the likes of Oprah, Steven Spielberg and more can be so rich.

However, it’s amazing to look at scores of celebrities whose net worths are much higher than one would expect. Some are known as successful but nowhere near the amount of money they actually have. A few are people supposedly past their fame but raking in the bucks like crazy. And a few cases are people who might be considered C-list in Hollywood but make more money than a hundred major stars combined. Here are 20 celebrities who are far wealthier than one might expect to show who has the real power on the money list.

20 Bob Saget - $100 million

This may seem an odd choice as Saget was never a serious A-list star in his prime. Unlike a lot of TV comics, he never moved into movies. However, Saget was savvy in making some deals to earn a major cut off of reruns of Full House, America’s Funniest Home Videos and How I Met Your Mother. Throw in his successful stand-up acts (the guy is much raunchier on stage) and Saget is the second to the Olsen Twins in being the wealthiest of the House stars.

19 Rowan Atkinson - $150 million

This has led Atkinson to be one of the more successful comics in England.

18 Andrew Shue - $150 million

Yep, believe it or not, Andrew Shue is the most successful Melrose Place star. 16 Victoria Principal - $250 million

The actress is best known for her role in the smash-hit soap Dallas which pushed her in Hollywood. Principal shifted away from acting in the 200s, claiming to have lost her passion for it. Principal recently stepped away from the company to run her charity but is a magnate who would do J. R. Ewing proud.

With Curb added on, that means David’s bank account is great even if his own sense of self-worth is low.

14 Gisele Bundchen - $400 million

The supermodel is perhaps best known today for being married to future NFL Hall of Famer Tom Brady. Gisele was smart to parlay her modeling career into various beauty and health product lines. In fact, Bunchden is more wealthy than her husband as a reminder who has the power in that relationship.

13 Judge Judy Sheindlin - $420 million

Anyone who’s watched Judge Judy knows the woman is tough as nails and takes no gruff from anyone. It turns out that Judy Sheindlin is even more effective in the negotiation room than the courtroom. It’s worked out great as the Judge is one wealthy woman.

It all adds up to keep Buffett a very busy man.

The self-proclaimed “King of All Media” does his best to live up to that moniker. Howard Stern was always smart using his radio show fame in the 1990s to craft success which included a best-selling novel and even a movie. His move to satellite radio scored him one of the biggest deals of the time. After a health scare, Stern got a big payday judging America’s Got Talent and his recent book is another best-seller. He’s toned down his wild “shock jock” ways but Stern has made a mint off his ego.

Johnson has been smart, using his money in various investments, including Magic Johnson Enterprises. His long tenure in the Lakers’ front office also helped as Johnson keeps the magic touch as a rich NBA star.

5 Celine Dion - $800 million

It’s been over twenty years but “My Heart Will Go On” remains an iconic song thanks to the success of the movie Titanic. Her businesses include the highly successful perfume line that rakes in about $800 million a year. There’s also her record-breaking Vegas residency and she even supplied the song for Deadpool 2. Her singing voice is amazing yet Dion’s business sense helps her go on.

That’s without some acting gigs and Bad Boy Records to push P. Diddy closer to being a full billionaire.

3 David Copperfield - $1 billion

True, his popularity has died down in the last decade. Yet David Copperfield was a huge deal in the 1980s and ‘90s with regular TV specials highlighting his amazing illusions. This may cause a serious double-take. Jami Gertz was popular in the 1980s with films like The Lost Boys and later Twister. She’s had a few shows like Still Standing but has never been close to the A-list.
