Cardi B's been dropping a lot of work lately, namely her full-length Invasion of Privacy album, nine singles, and her "Diniro" collaboration with Jennifer Lopez and DJ Khaled. She's equally prolific with unleashing videos galore, such as "Be Careful," which was out last week. Sensing no evidence of overkill in a hip-hop market that seems to get a piece recorded and released out in about as much time as it takes to toast a piece of bread, she's gone ahead with plopping another vid called "I Like It."

The video, released on Tuesday, follows up the single release on Thursday. Issued by her Warner distributor on YouTube, the vid had already racked up nearly 12 million views in less than a day. At this rate, Cardi B will be putting her rapping peers out of business while the world subjects itself to an entertainment landscape of "All Cardi All The Time."

This time, there's no malevolent theme running through the song or video, unlike the wedding-funeral combo that was served to viewers in "Be Careful." Heavily Latin beat-oriented with the signature deep bass rumble and the signature clicketty Dr. Rhythm beat sounds in a salsa motif, this one's a tribute to her Caribbean roots.

The Bronx singer who's part Dominican and part Trinidadian also pays tribute to another neighborhood homie. That would be Pete Rodriguez, who scored big-time in 1967 with his hit "I Like It Like That,"which Cardi B sampled for her endeavour. Doing their cameo wordplay on this offering are reggae rappers Bad Bunny and J. Balvin.

Cardi B is certainly dressed for the part in casual Caribbean attire that not only hearkens her bloodline origins, but exudes a vibe that makes the song mandatory for summer listening. Talk about timing, just when the beach is pretty much on everyone's brain. In short, this looks like Cardi B's response to that previous Latin chartbuster "La Vida Loca," only it's meant for more millennial eardrums. It's got enough punch and sashay maneuvers to make audiences forget Ricky Martin. Which, apparently, has already happened.

The only thing involving Cardi B that hasn't dropped yet? Her baby! But that's slated to happen in a few weeks.
