Cardi B, who gave birth to her daughter, Kulture Kiari Cephus, on July 10, 2018, has wasted no time getting back into fighting shape, literally. The rapper turned herself into the New York Police Department this afternoon, where she was charged with two misdemeanors, assault and reckless endangerment.

Cardi, who was not arrested, was released on her own recognizance and is due in court on October 29. The singer was all smiles and dressed to the nines in a wraparound skirt and white blouse as she left the precinct office. The charges against her stem from a fight at Angels Strip Club in Queens at around 3 am on August 29 in which two women “were attacked with chairs, bottles and other items," an NYPD official told Us Weekly.

According to TMZ, the two women, Jade and Baddie Gi, who are sisters and also bartenders, got into a confrontation with Cardi B, who believed Jade had slept with her husband, rapper Offset. Cardi reportedly instructed her crew to attack the two women, who were hurt but refused medical attention. The incident was discussed during an episode of Nicki Minaj's Queen Radio where she spoke about her own fight with Cardi.

"You been getting girls beat up because of what your man’s doing?" Minaj said. "Real bitches never do that. You never attack the woman. You never attack the woman! You take that up with your f*cking man...You’re angry and you’re sad and this is not funny and this is not about attacking. This is about get this woman some f*cking help. This woman is at the best stage in her career and she’s out here throwing bottles and throwing shoes?! Who the f*ck is going to give her a f*cking intervention?"

She is scheduled to be arraigned on October 29, though Jeff Kern, her attorney, told reporters outside the police station that he’s “aware of no evidence” that the rapper “caused anybody any harm.” The attorney for Jade and Baddie Gi, Joseph Tacopino, told Variety that “Whether she’s a famous rapper or a common street hood, she’s got to be held accountable for her criminal actions. It’s as simple as that: She ordered the beating after threatening my clients and later participated in an assault against them.”

Tacopino said there is video footage of the incident, as well as witnesses, who will corroborate his clients' allegations. The rapper, who performed at the Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park this past Saturday, turned herself in at the Flushing precinct in the New York City borough of Queens before 10 am, according to Channel 4. She covered her face with umbrellas as she left her vehicle and walked inside the precinct.

The rapper, 25, made headlines last month after the Harper’s Bazaar Icon bash during Fashion Week in New York when she and Nicki Minaj almost came to blows. According to reports, Cardi allegedly threw one of her shoes at Minaj and attempted to fight the rapper, who she said had made comments about her fitness to her care of her daughter. Cardi was famously a member of the Bloods, a violent street gang, when she was 16.
