Rapper Cardi B turned heads at Milan Fashion Week last weekend with a look that was anything but subtle. She arrived at the Dolce & Gabbana spring 2019 runway show in a head-to-toe animal-print look designed by the Italian label, complete with big, furry D&G leopard-print sunglasses. After being escorted out of a New York Fashion Week party due to an altercation with rival rapper Nicki Minaj two weeks ago, fans speculated that Cardi’s Milan fashion statement may have been a dig at Minaj.

Cardi took her place in the front row of the Dolce & Gabbana runway show wearing a tiger-print trench coat and scarf paired with knee-high leopard-print heeled boots. Plus, of course, D&G’s signature glasses, which are reportedly a favorite of singer Rihanna’s. Cardi posted a video on Instagram during a car ride in Milan excitedly showing off her sunglasses. “These glasses with the fur on them got my face super warm. Winter certified!” she exclaimed.

Cardi’s bold appearance at Milan Fashion Week came just two weeks after Cardi tried to attack Minaj at the Harper’s Bazaar Icons party in New York, which resulted in Minaj’s security leading Cardi off the premises with a huge bump on her eye. The two rappers have been rivals since Cardi rose to fame over the past year. Cardi’s attack confirmed rumors that the women had an ongoing feud, but Cardi said in an Instagram post that she felt no remorse for her actions.

With the fight still fresh in the media’s mind, it is possible that Cardi purposely wore a leopard outfit last weekend to copy one of Minaj’s former looks. Page Six pointed out that Cardi’s look was strikingly similar to Minaj’s animal-spotted outfit at the 2011 Grammys seven years ago. Minaj wore an over-the-top leopard couture dress by Givenchy and tall leopard boots paired with a giant matching wig.

While both rappers are in Milan for runway shows, they have not appeared to cross paths yet. Minaj took front row seats at the Fendi, Versace, and Diesel shows but chose to skip Dolce & Gabbana. Instead of attending the Versace show, Cardi supported her sister, Hennessy Carolina, who walked in the Philipp Plein show.
