Britney Spears has checked herself into a mental health facility, and both her boyfriend Sam Asghari and her younger sister Jamie Lynn have shared Instagram posts showing their support for the singers' decision. After not having posted anything on Instagram for almost three months, the Baby One More Time singer returned with a post urging her followers to fall in love with taking care of themselves, and a caption suggesting that everyone needs a little bit of 'me time.' This post seems to be the thirty-seven-year-old addressing her decision of seeking professional help and her fans are flooding the comments with praise and supportive messages.
The Toxic singer's boyfriend reposted her Instagram post and added a sweet message saying that her decision is a sign of strength and that it is inspiring. Jamie Lynn took the opportunity to celebrate her sister with a 'woman crush Wednesday' post, where she shared a sweet photo of the two sisters. Britney is also getting lots of love and support from other celebrities such as Heidi Klum, Delta Goodrem, and Kylie Richards from The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills all left supportive comments for Britney.
As reported by ET Online, sources close to Britney have explained that she has been under a huge amount of stress lately due to her father's health issues, and it has led her to seek help to cope with how it has affected her mental health. Britney's father has always been her support system, and when he was rushed to the hospital with a ruptured colon last year and nearly died in the process, it really scared her.
Britney decided to take an indefinite break from work in January to be by her father's side, which meant not returning to Las Vegas with a new show as planned. Britney's father is the permanent conservator of her affairs since 2008 after the singer refused to surrender custody of her sons to her ex-husband Kevin Federline and was involuntarily committed to the psychiatric ward. Britney and her father have since 2008 gotten extremely close, so his health issues cause immense stress on her.

I don’t even know where to start with this, because this is so tough for me to say. I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart. However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make. A couple of months ago, my father was hospitalized and almost died. We’re all so grateful that he came out of it alive, but he still has a long road ahead of him. I had to make the difficult decision to put my full focus and energy on my family at this time. I hope you all can understand. More information on ticket refunds is available on britneyspears.com. I appreciate your prayers and support for my family during this time. Thank you, and love you all… always.
It is admirable that Britney is open with seeking help for her mental health struggles, and it is heartwarming to see everyone rallying behind her. The coming thirty days the singer will be focusing on her health so she can continue supporting her father while being a great mother and girlfriend.
