Selena Gomez has been making music for more than ten years. She started out the Disney way as "Selena Gomez & The Scene," giving the world favorites like "Naturally" and "Falling Down." After she dropped The Scene, Selena kept making hits, even while filming movies and working on other projects.

The Wizards of Waverly Place alum came out with six fresh albums in six years (plus another compilation album) and recently released Rare. Her music is relatable and always evolving. Whether it's a throwback or a new track, Selena Gomez knows how to sing a summer bop. Here are ten of her songs, both old and new, that are perfect for this time of year.

10 Tell Me Something I Don't Know

"Tell me, tell me, tell me, something I don't know, something I don't know, something I don't know." This is one of Selena Gomez's first songs ever, and it brings back summer childhood memories of watching her film Another Cinderella Story (totally different cast from the 2004 Hilary Duff movie).

While she was just getting started on her hit Disney Channel show, Gomez's film came out in 2008, along with a soundtrack on which she and Drew Seeley are featured.

9 A Year Without Rain

A Year Without Rain (2010) was one of Selena's best albums. It explored so much of the teenage experience, including the complexities of love and the joy of music. Listeners of many ages enjoyed the title track, especially.

The music video was epic, the deluxe album artwork was gorgeous, and something about the techno beat of the single "A Year Without Rain" was just mesmerizing.

8 Round & Round

"Round & Round" was the main single for A Year Without Rain. The dance-pop bop had a super cool secret agent theme. The song is basically about a bad boy who goes 'round and 'round with the relationship.

"You see me standing there and act like you don't know me, but last night you were calling me saying you want me." Sounds like the ultimate jam for summer 2010.

7 Summer's Not Hot

"Summer's Not Hot" is a totally underrated gem from A Year Without Rain. "The temperature is 99 and it can't get much higher, so come on over Romeo And Vamos a la playa."

Nothing like Selena Gomez telling Romeo to go to the beach. The song is timeless and always makes the season pop. If you're going to blast a Selena song by the pool, this is clearly the one.

6 Outlaw

"You're an outlaw, you're an outlaw, you're an outlaw running from love." This song came from 2011's When the Sun Goes Down. It has a simple premise and plays with the old western genre, but the accompaniment is fire.

The imagery of riding off into the sunset to avoid a relationship is perfect for the warmer months.

5 Who Says

A popular single for Selena's third album was "Who Says" (2011). The song was quite motivating for Disney's young female viewership with lyrics like "Who says you don't pass the test? Who says you can't be the best? Who said, who said? Won't you tell me who said that?"

Gomez sang the anthem passionately but managed to still make it a fun, sunny song.

4 Come and Get It

"Come & Get It" had surprising album artwork, but it was one of Selena's most popular tracks back in 2013. "If you're ready, come and get it, na na na na, na na na na." It's safe to say that Selena was trying to break out of the Disney bubble a little at this point in her career.

The result definitely makes for a good summer tune if you just want to let go and dance for a while.

3 Same Old Love

It's definitely had plenty of airtime, but people don't seem to get "sick of that same old love" when it comes to this one. The chorus may not be the most profound thing lyrically, but the song is still catchy.

This number was a single for Selena's 2015 Revival album and is still popular.

2 Dance Again

While everyone knew "Look at Her Now" first, "Dance Again" is an equally strong track from 2020's Rare. The song will make you want to dance, but it is also a great comeback song for Selena: "Feels so good to dance again" on this first album in five years.

Rare is a big achievement and Selena has been through a lot in recent years, so she needs a celebratory song like this.

1 A Sweeter Place

"A Sweeter Place" from Rare is not to be overlooked. The track features Kid Cudi and asks the question, "Is there a place where I can hideaway? Red lips, French kiss my worries all away."

The song is a good fit for summer 2020, and its music video transports Selena Gomez from a nap at her desk to alternate cinematic realities (and back again). Definitely a cool project.
