Ariana Grande's Sweetener world tour includes tribute to Mac Miller

Ariana Grande kicked off her Sweetener world tour this Monday at Times Union Center in Albany, New York, and all of the excited concertgoers were able to notice her sweet tribute to ex-boyfriend Mac Miller. The Thank U, Next singer had decided to play Mac Miller's music before her show started, so as Ari's fans were arriving at the arena and finding their seats, they did so to the tunes of the late rapper. Many of the 'Arianators', as Ariana's fans are called, were tweeting as they were waiting for the concert to start, sharing how emotional it was to listen to Mac Miller's music ahead of Ariana entering the stage.

Ariana and Mac Miller were dating for about two years after they broke it off in May last year, and the breakup came out of nowhere since Mac Miller had shared a gushing message to the No Tears Left To Cry singer just a month prior. After the couple called it quits, it was only two weeks until Ariana entered a new relationship, the highly publicized whirlwind romance with comedian Pete Davidson. Ariana and Pete's relationship moved fast, and during the five months they were dating they managed to move in together, get several matching tattoos, and even got engaged after just one month. Ari and Pete broke off their engagement in October, and some are suggesting that it was Mac Miller's tragic death that contributed to the breakup. Mac Miller died of an accidental overdose in September, and needless to say, Ariana took it extremely hard.

As reported by People, the God Is A Woman singer has shared several tributes to her late ex-boyfriend, the last one being on his birthday two months ago. On the morning of that day, Ariana wrote 'Miss u' on Twitter, a message that has since then been deleted. She has also shared several photos from when they were dating, and some are even suggesting that her song Imagine is about Mac Miller.

Ariana has been focusing on her music since the breakup with Pete Davidson, and it is safe to say that this year will be an exciting one when it comes to her career. With the Sweetened world tour just having kicked off, the petite singer embarks on an adventure, and hopefully, it will help her heal from a tumultuous last year.
