Rokael Lizama, Ariana Grande’s go-to makeup artist, has announced that he’s launching his own beauty line. The artist, who is responsible for the singer’s look on her Grammy award-winning Sweetener album cover, said he’s been working on his line for the past two years.

On his Instagram Story, Lizama said, "I am launching my first beauty line and I am so excited about it because I've worked so hard on the formulas and they're just so beautiful. So it hasn't launched yet but I will be posting on my Instagram some of the products soon. I will be using them on my clients and I wonder if you guys can guess what I'm coming out with."

Lizama recently worked with Grande on her music video for the song “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored,” which already has nearly 77 million views on YouTube. Many fans have talked about the singer’s makeup in the video, which was done by Lizama. The makeup artist said the cat-like eyeliner can be achieved in four easy steps. He also shared the Irish brand he used, which is remarkably affordable.

In the video, Grande wears her signature eyeliner look, which was created using Carter Beauty by Marissa, which retails for only €4.95. The Supreme Gel Liner has a creamy texture and jet black pigments. The liner is remarkably long-lasting.

Lizama explains how to get Grande’s look:

"First, trace out your eyeliner with a brown/taupe eyeshadow and liner brush to create a guideline and allow yourself to see how dramatic you want it to be," he says. "Next, with a damp, square make-up sponge (soaked in make-up remover), clean up the sides of the liner with the corners of the sponge by pulling towards the back of your face (to make sure they are even and crisp).

"With your Carter Beauty by Marissa Carter Supreme Gel Liner and the angled liner brush – trace the shape you created with eyeshadow and cover the areas with the cream liner." Lastly, "Grab your damp make-up sponge and clean up the edges for a perfect, crisp eyeliner."

Lizama started his career as a stylist for rap stars like Drake and Kanye West. He has also worked for Beyoncé, the Kardashians, and Mariah Carey. The makeup artist moved from Mexico to the United States when he was five. Growing up, he loved watching people transform by switching up their makeup or hair. He was also obsessed with makeover shows, such as MTV’s Becoming.

At first, his parents didn’t approve of his career as a stylist. He even spent time living in his car in L.A. Though his mother offered to pay for his college tuition, he decided to stick it out as a stylist. After getting his hair grooming license, he worked with Drake, Kanye, Sean Combs, and Ray J.

He eventually moved onto makeup with Lilly Ghalichi. She ended up offering him a place to stay in her penthouse in West Hollywood. While working with Ghalichi on Shahs of Sunset, he started getting calls from celebrities like Spice Girl Mel B, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland and Tina Knowles, who put him in touch with Beyoncé. He has worked with the singer since 2015 and did her makeup for On The Run II.

Given his resumé, there is no doubt that Lizama, who turned 30 in December, is going to be a big hit with his brand.
