Ariana Grande has been through a lot the past two years, and the singer has yet again been faced with another heartbreak. The 25-year-old just released a brand new album titled Sweetener and has had massive success with hit songs such as “No Tears Left To Cry” and “God Is A Woman”, however, her life hasn’t been as “sweet” recently.

Ariana has since been dealing with the passing of her ex-boyfriend, Mac Miller, who she dated from August of 2016. The two began a friendship in 2012 and continued to get closer for years to come. Miller WAS also featured in Ariana’s first ever single, ‘The Way", which is known to be the start of their relationship. The two dated exclusively for two years, before calling it quits earlier this year.

The official date that marked the end of their relationship remains unknown, however, Grande was quickly linked to now-fiancé Pete Davidson soon after her and Miller's breakup was announced. Grande and Davidson became engaged shortly after publicly coming out as an official couple. The relationship came as a surprise to many, considering the star had just ended things with ex Mac Miller, however, the two seemed to end things on an amicable note, having both of them be happy for each other.

As time went by, the sad news of Miller's passing had Ariana experience yet another tumultuous heartbreak. The singer first broke her silence after sharing a photo and soon after a video of she and Miller during their time together, expressing her sadness and sympathy at the time. The singer then took time to herself and was not active on social media for the days following Miller’s death. Two weeks later, Grande was finally spotted out in public for the first time during a trip to New York City.

She was dressed in a super casual outfit, wearing sweatpants and an oversized sweatshirt as she enjoyed a Starbucks drink with a couple of friends. The star was later photographed with fiancé Pete Davidson walking the streets of New York wearing another oversized hoodie and knee-high suede boots. The star was meant to join Davidson at the 2018 Emmy’s, but the two both skipped out on the event in the wake of Miller’s passing.

Grande looked somber as she trailed the rainy streets of Manhattan, and has since announced she will be taking time for herself. “Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend”, her team wrote. “She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without deadline”, the statement continued.

We can only imagine what Grande is feeling at the moment, and can only send her our love during what can only be described as a difficult time in the singer’s life.
