Ariana Grande's wax figure was recently unveiled at Madame Tussauds In London and Ari seems to agree with her fans when it comes to the result of their waxwork. Madame Tussauds released photos of the finished work on their Twitter account about a week ago, saying that they nailed Ariana's style and welcoming fans to visit the wax cabinet where the Thank U, Next singer's wax figure will be on display for the coming five weeks. Now, Ariana's fans, or Arianators as they call themselves, were quick to let Madame Tussauds know precisely how they felt about her wax figure, and it is safe to say they are not impressed.
While the famous wax cabinet may have nailed Ariana's style, dressing the figure in a sweater dress, thigh high boots, and Ariana's signature high ponytail, fans are not so sure about the face. Many fans were suggesting to have the figure 'melted down' because it was so unlike the original it was disrespectful. Others found likeness in other celebrities, one indicating the wax figure looked more like comedian and actress Melissa Villaseñor when she played Ariana in a Saturday Night Live sketch, while another said it looked like Kylie Jenner "before plastic surgery".
As reported by ET Online, Ariana eventually had to share her thoughts on the finished work and left a comment, which was picked up by Instagram account @commentsbycelebs, who promptly shared it on their feed. The Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored singer did not go as far as her fans in dragging Madame Tussauds, but her comment "I just wanna talk" still said it all.
Madame Tussauds asked their Twitter followers for help on deciding which look to choose for Ariana's wax figure and the 'Classic Ari' option won over 'Princess Ari' and 'Sassy Ari' looks. They also shared a teaser video on making Ariana's hairdo with a tutorial for those wanted to try the embellished ponytail at home, so it is safe to say fans had high expectations on this wax figure.
While most of Madame Tussauds work is usually scarily on point, like the Kourtney Kardashian's and Kris Jenner's that were recently unveiled in Madame Tussauds London, there is no denying that Ariana Grande's wax figure is not their best work. The God Is A Woman singer is currently out on her Sweetener World Tour and has been named the new face of Givenchy, so she is probably too busy to let a wax figure dim her light.
