We’re only in March of 2019, but things move fast for Hollywood celebs! Whirlwind romances, surprise splits, and new babies are the norm for this crowd – and we’ve got the latest ones here.

From the extremely public splits, like Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson, to the quieter ends of serious relationships, like Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson and Alex Greenwald, these stars have experienced lows as well as highs when it comes to their personal lives. Other celebs, of course, have been much luckier in the romance department, with three of these 12 couples putting a ring on it on Valentine’s Day alone! (What do we think, cute or cliché?) There are rings to swoon over, newborn babies to coo over, and splits that most of us probably saw coming – and we’re only a quarter of the way through the year!

Predicting what comes next for any of these stars is anyone’s guess, but we hope that those who popped the question eventually make it down the aisle and those experiencing a painfully public heartbreak are able to heal, learn, and grow – and that those newborn babes have the best life their proud parents can give 'em! After all, we have nine months left of 2019 to see what happens next, right?

22 PUT A RING ON IT: Jessica Rothe & Eric Flem

Putting a ring on it on Valentine’s Day is about as popular as popping the question on Christmas Day, but it was the former that saw Happy Death Day star Jessica Rothe say “Yes” to fiancé Eric Flem, who also works as an actor and a surprisingly talented woodworker.

In an IG post, the actress wrote, “Cat’s out of the bag! Happy Valentine’s Day to my brilliant, amazing, wonderful, how-did-I-get-so-lucky FIANCÉ and of course, most importantly, to Otis the pup.” Rothe shared a video of herself and Flem wearing matching red knitted caps against a snowy landscape. The ring features a wide yellow gold band and single round-cut solitaire diamond.

21 PUT A RING ON IT: JJ Lane & Kayla Hughes

Depending on where you look, the Bachelor/Bachelorette fandom can have some pretty impressive success rates – just not always on the shows! Case in point: JJ Lane and Kayla Hughes! Lane, who you may remember from Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season, popped the question to girlfriend Hughes while on vacation in Hawaii. He chose to share the news via IG on January 28 with a romantic beachside photo of himself down on one knee in front of the former NFL cheerleader.

In shared IG photos of the special announcement, Lane called Hughes “my best friend, my love, and the woman that has made me better since the day we met” while Hughes called him “the man of [her] dreams.”

20 CALLED IT QUITS: Khloe Kardashian & Tristan Thompson

Easily the most public breakup of 2019, the split between Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson has been an incredibly untidy one, full of secrets and drama. By all accounts, it seems as though the February split was a long time coming, considering just 10 months earlier, Thompson had been caught stepping out on a then-pregnant Kardashian (the two share one child, daughter True).

Fortunately, it seems as though this split is the one that will stick, and according to Us Weekly, Kardashian had been “living and behaving as a single mother” for quite a while before things really hit the fan.

19 PUT A RING ON IT: Abbie Cornish & Adel Altamimi

The second celeb couple on our list to get engaged on Valentine’s Day is none other than actress Abbie Cornish, who most recently appeared in Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and MMA fighter Adel Altamimi.

The Australian actress wrote in her IG caption of their announcement that Altamimi had “swept [her] off [her] feet.” While the fighter may not be a household name, he just so happens to be pretty close friends with another guy on this list, actor Chris Pratt! The ring he used to pop the question was also a total dazzler, featuring a cushion-cut diamond in a halo setting with a split-shank, diamond-encrusted setting.

18 PUT A RING ON IT: Tim Tebow & Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters

We don’t often get to see a full-on engagement shoot for celebs, but former NFL star Tim Tebow opted to get People to photograph him and his new fiancé, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, giving us a lot of love – and a lot of bling – to feast our eyes upon.

The ex-quarterback popped the question to Nel-Peters in early January outside of his family’s farm in Jacksonville, Florida, after taking a stroll around the grounds before offering her a pretty impressive rock: a 7.25 carat solitaire diamond, to be exact! Before slipping it onto her finger, Tebow said, “This ring is internally flawless. Just like you.”

17 PUT A RING ON IT: Brittany Snow & Tyler Stanaland

Rather than share the news with the world right away, Pitch Perfect actress Brittany Snow decided to wait a couple of weeks after getting engaged to boyfriend Tyler Stanaland, in order to enjoy this romantic moment between the two of them.

On February 19, Snow announced the news via IG with a cute black-and-white snapshot of the two of them and the caption, “A couple weeks ago, I said ‘YES” about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams. After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know…this happened.”

16 CALLED IT QUITS: Brie Larson & Alex Greenwald

Brie Larson is living a pretty awesome life right now, professionally speaking, as an Oscar winner and the newest addition to the Marvel team as the much-heralded Captain Marvel, but her personal life hasn’t been quite so stellar this year.

Larson was with actor and musician Greenwald for five years, and the couple got engaged in May 2016 while on vacation in Tokyo, Japan. The couple was pretty private about their relationship, not discussing any wedding plans and only occasionally talking about one another in speeches. According to People, the breakup happened in early January, when the two decided to “[take] a step back from their engagement.”

15 PUT A RING ON IT: Melissa Benoist & Chris Wood

Sometimes, work is where you meet your soulmate, and that was definitely the case for Supergirl costars Melissa Benoist and Chris Wood, who put a ring on it in February, with the actress announcing the happy news on February 10.

Sharing a photo of the two of them in front of a roaring fire, Benoist put her oval diamond engagement ring (designed by celebrity jeweler Jennifer Meyer) on full display. In her caption, the actress could barely contain her joy, writing, “yes yes yes it will always be yes.”

This is the second engagement for Benoist, who was previously married to Glee co-star Blake Jenner from 2015 to 2016.

14 CALLED IT QUITS: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro & Jen Harley

It wouldn’t be a Jersey Shore relationship if there wasn’t a hefty dose of drama! On-again, off-again couple Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley first got involved in July 2017 and broke up multiple times – usually loudly and publicly, with a ton of social media drama – before splitting for good on New Year’s.

According to Us Weekly, the pair are about as up-and-down as it gets (which isn’t a surprise, considering Ortiz-Magro’s equally tumultuous relationship with former Shore bae Sammi Giancola). “They have a very volatile relationship,” reported Us. “It’s either great or the total opposite.” We hope these two can play nice long enough to raise their child, daughter Ariana.

13 PUT A RING ON IT: Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola & Christian Biscardi

While former flame Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is unlucky in love, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is living her best life, as the now-fiancée of Christian Biscardi, whom she’s been dating since 2017.

Taking to IG on March 5 to announce her news, Giancola wrote, “I am completely [inundated] with happiness. Yesterday was the best day of my life! I get to marry my other half, best friend and soulmate. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you @_biscardi I love you!”

The ring, of course, is full bling in true Sammi Sweetheart style, with a custom-designed princess-cut diamond in a halo setting.

12 PUT A RING ON IT: Adrianne Palicki & Scott Grimes

Another celeb couple who met at work on a show that blends elements of fantasy and sci-fi, we have Adrianne Palicki and Scott Grimes, who met and fell in love on the Seth MacFarlane series The Orville.

While the couple initially kept things private, they did announce their relationship publicly for the first time this past July at San Diego Comic-Con, and were seen walking hand-in-hand. They announced their engagement on Twitter in mid-January, with the caption, “So happy to spend my life with you.”

Both have been previously engaged: Palicki to stuntman Jackson Spidell while Grimes was married to makeup artist Dawn Bailey-Grimes, with whom he shares two children.

11 CALLED IT QUITS: Andrew Garfield & Rita Ora

Did you miss these two getting together? You wouldn’t be alone, because it was pretty much a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it relationship! While actor Andrew Garfield and singer Rita Ora never publicly confirmed their relationship, multiple news outlets reported seeing the pair walking arm-in-arm around London since November.

Alas, by March the relationship had fizzled, with The Daily Mail reporting that the celebs found the whole thing “sad, but [they] have both accepted the situation and moved on.” The Sun corroborated the story, saying it was Garfield who had called things off, but the Amazing Spider-Man actor wasn’t hurting for long – he’s since been linked to Irish actress Aisling Bea!

10 PUT A RING ON IT: Chris Pratt & Katherine Schwarzenegger

Easily one of the most recognizable couples on this list, Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger had a pretty private romance until the actor took to IG to announce that he had popped the question after first getting together in the summer.

In the touching post that he shared on January 14, Pratt wrote, “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes! I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!”

The Jurassic World star has previously been involved in a very high-profile marriage and split with actress Anna Faris, with whom he shares one child, Jack.

9 CALLED IT QUITS: Demi Lovato & Henry Levy

Demi Lovato had quite a rough 2018, and the beginning of 2019 wasn’t looking much better for the troubled singer. Lovato and designer Henry Levy were only together for a few months when they broke up in February, after getting together in November, although they had been friends for years.

Levy had provided some support to Lovato following her recent stay in a treatment facility, but he was never the singer’s sober companion, despite reports saying otherwise. Owing to the fact that these two were friends before ever trying anything romantic, we predict they’ll stay close in the future, which would provide some much-needed stability and security for Lovato.

8 PUT A RING ON IT: Jennifer Lawrence & Cooke Maroney

Prior to getting engaged to the more-or-less unknown art dealer Cooke Maroney, Oscar winning actress Jennifer Lawrence had a ton of high-profile relationships under her belt, including ones with former costar Nicholas Hoult, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, and director Darren Aronofsky.

Consider us quite surprised when Lawrence – who has kept a low profile over the past couple of years – stepped out in New York with a massive sparkler on her ring finger, and news of the engagement was later confirmed by her rep on February 5. The couple has been dating since before June 2018 when their relationship was first announced, and have been spotted out on dates by paparazzi since then.

7 CALLED IT QUITS: Lady Gaga & Christian Carino

Like her character Ally in A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga has been quite unlucky in love, most recently with the canceled engagement to her former fiancé Christian Carino.

In her Netflix documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, the actress and singer bemoaned her relationship status and success, saying, “I can’t help but realize that when I sold 10 million records, I lost Matt [Williams]. I sold 30 million, I lose Luc [Carl]. I get the movie [A Star Is Born], I lose Taylor [Kinney].”

Well, it seems that when Gaga began racking up the awards for ASIB, she lost Carino, too – the pair ended their engagement in February.

6 PUT A RING ON IT: Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom

The third couple on our list to put a ring on it on V-Day, we have Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry! While the pair had been off-and-on for a few years since meeting at a Golden Globes after party in 2016, they are decidedly on as can be seen in the close-up photo Perry and Bloom both shared of the two of them in front of a bunch of heart-shaped balloons.

The ring took center stage: a unique flower design featuring many diamonds surrounding an oval-shaped pink stone. While the ring is definitely one-of-a-kind, some eagle-eyed critics have pointed out that is looks similar to the ring Bloom used to propose to ex-wife Miranda Kerr!

5 CALLED IT QUITS: Gigi Hadid & Zayn Malik

These two crazy kids tried to make a go of things again after first parting ways in March 2018, but it wasn’t meant to be, as they called it off for good in January of this year.

According to Us Weekly, “They could get back together, but it’s over for now” and that Zayn Malik’s own “issues” were a major factor in this most recent split.

Considering that the singer had multiple tattoos of supermodel Gigi Hadid inked on his body, we wonder if he’ll pull a Pete Davidson and cover them up? (He’s a repeat offender like Davidson, too – he once had a cartoon of former fiancée Perrie Edwards inked on his arm!)

4 CALLED IT QUITS: Jonathan Van Ness & Wilco Froneman

Most couples ring in the new year with a kiss at midnight, but Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness and rugby player Wilco Froneman instead opted to split up. Van Ness initially posted about the drama on his IG, using the hashtag #cheatersneverprosper, before deleting it. After some reflection, the TV personality decided to take the high road, explaining in his stories that he “should’ve sat with [himself] a bit longer before [he] posted [his] most recent post.”

Froneman, for the record, replied in his own post, saying he had never stepped out on Van Ness throughout their relationship. Both requested their fans stay civil on social media.

3 PUT A RING ON IT: Jennifer Lopez & Alex Rodriguez

Jennifer Lopez has been engaged more times than most of us but hey, she’s been on the Hollywood circuit for decades now! The most recent fiancé she’s added to her list is MLB star Alex Rodriguez, who announced their engagement on March 10 after about a year of dating.

A-Rod pulled out all the stops for this one, popping the question in the Bahamas, using rose petals to spell out ‘I [heart] you’ on the bed, and offering up a gigantic emerald-cut diamond!

Of the five engagement rings the actress and singer has been given, Town & Country estimates this one to be the biggest and most expensive – between 10 to 15 carats and $1 to $5 million!

2 HAD A BABY: Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher

Country music star Carrie Underwood added to her family, making them a four-person unit on January 21 when she gave birth to baby number two, a boy named Jacob, who joins older brother Isaiah. Underwood shared multiple beautiful photos of her family meeting the bundle of joy in the hospital room.

On her IG, Underwood wrote, “Jacob Bryan Fisher entered the world in the wee hours of the morning on Monday…his mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!”

Prior to this happy news, the singer revealed to CBS This Morning that she had suffered three miscarriages in the past two years.

1 HAD A BABY: Andy Cohen

Andy Cohen became a proud single daddy who is definitely putting in the hard work when it comes to raising his son, Benjamin Allen Cohen.

The Watch What Happens Live host welcomed the baby boy via surrogate in February and announced the news online with a gorgeous black-and-white photograph, writing, “WOW! This is my son, Benjamin Allen Cohen. He is 9 lbs 2 ounces !! 20 inches !! Born at 6:35pm, PT. He is named after my grandfather Ben Allen. I’m in love. And speechless. And eternally grateful to an incredible surrogate. And I’m a dad. Wow.”

Cohen admitted in a People interview that he thought fatherhood wasn’t in the cards for him as a gay man. We're so happy for him!
