Candace Cameron Bure has achieved a lot in her life. Not only is she an actress and a former talk show host, but she’s also a wife, a mother, and a friend. She is best known for her role as D.J. Tanner on the popular series, Full House (and she later appeared in the reboot, Fuller House), and she loved this role. Many of the co-stars she's worked with have remained her close friends, decades later. Seriously, she has the nicest things to say about so many of them, often referring to them as her “family.” This would suggest that Candace is great to work with, and people clearly love her, but not everyone meshes well with her.
Candace is outspoken, especially when she feels strongly about a topic, and her conservative views on certain topics have caused her to clash with several people. These people include her former The View co-star Raven-Symoné. The two women exchanged words, with Raven-Symoné later stating she refused to associate with Candace. And then there are other stories about her being hard to work with because she would veto dance moves and performance outfits on Dancing With the Stars.
Below are some of the people Candace is believed not to mesh well with, and others she loves.
Didn’t Mesh Well:
20 RuPaul Star Bianca Del Rio Has Had A Lot To Say About Candace
Candace Cameron Bure’s decision to wear a T-shirt with a catchphrase that RuPaul star Bianca Del Rio has used many times and has essentially taken ownership of, was not welcomed by the entertainer. In fact, she had some unkind things to say about it because she took issue with Candace, who is known for her conservative views.
Her decision to criticize Candace for wearing the shirt resulted in her receiving comments on social media, which according to People, she described as “horrible.” The publication notes that the backlash resulted in Candace responding, by writing to Del Rio, asking, “Why do you have to be [mean] to me? You don’t know me or my heart.”
19 Candace May Get On Well With Many Co-Stars, But Raven-Symoné Isn’t One Of Them
Candace is outspoken, especially when she feels strongly about a topic, and her conservative views regarding an Oregon bakery's decision to refuse service to a lesbian couple left her and her The View co-star Raven-Symoné exchanging words.
The women’s clash left Raven-Symoné incredibly angry, so much so that Us Weekly notes she told Cameron Bure, "I refuse to associate with you right now." Sure, people are able to debate topics, but this particular argument made the headlines of many publications. Not that Candace minds the attention, because she told Huffington Post she was “pleased with, you know, how I handled myself.”
18 When Whoopi Goldberg Snapped At Candace Cameron Bure, It Left People On The Edge Of Their Seats
It’s rare for someone to like every person they meet during their lifetime, and the chances of them agreeing with every statement that someone makes is even less likely. So, it’s not unexpected that Whoopi Goldberg and Candace Cameron Bure would have a difference in opinion, especially considering they were both hosts on a talk show where part of their job description was to share their opinions.
But it wasn’t a difference of opinion that caused Goldberg to snap at Cameron Bure, but the fact that she seemed to be changing the subject when Goldberg was discussing the Oscars boycott of 2016, Radar Online notes. Cameron later walked off the set of The View, Us Weekly reports — although she took to social media to state she had left the set because she was feeling unwell, not because of Goldberg's comments.
17 Mary-Kate Olsen Didn’t Invite Candace To Her Wedding
Candace Cameron Bure is well-known for her role as D.J. Tanner on Full House, and later the reboot of the show, Fuller House. On the original series, twins Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen played the role of Michelle Tanner, a role they did not wish to reprise in the reboot.
The twins also appear to have distanced themselves from their former co-stars, because Candace was not invited to Mary Kate’s 2015 wedding to Olivier Sarkozy. “My invitation must have gotten lost in the mail,” Candace told Cosmopolitan (via Us Weekly). She added, “I’m not a smoker, so I might not have had much fun.” Here she was referring to the report about guests smoking.
Candace went on to say she was happy for her former co-star, but the mention of how it would not have been “much fun” does make her sound a bit bitter about the whole thing.
16 NeNe Leakes And Candace Apparently Butted Heads Over Her Brother’s Views
NeNe Leakes and Candace Cameron Bure can obviously stand to be in the same room together, otherwise this photo would never have been taken, but there have been reports that the two women didn’t get on while competing on Dancing With The Stars.

They caused her to veto dance moves and performance outfits.

14 Michael Moore’s Appearance On The View Showed He Didn’t Care For Her
When Michael Moore appeared on The View, he and Candace Cameron Bure were engaged in conversation. It’s not unusual to have a debate, but according to The Inquisitr, it led to the host and guest having a bit of a “feud,” based on their different opinions.
This is probably one of the reasons why Cameron Bure later stated she’s happy she’s no longer on the show. In an interview with The Wendy Williams Show (via TooFab) she said, "I don't miss The View, at all." She added, “I love being on talk shows, I love hosting talk shows but that was a hard job...”
