This one for sure came to us as a surprise! We couldn’t believe that JWoww isn’t even Italian. Jersey Shore is based on classic Italian American young adults who represent their culture endlessly. To know that JWoww isn’t even Italian feels more like a rumor than the actual truth.
But actually, Jenni is half Irish, and half Spanish.
This perfectly explains why the reality TV star looks Italian with her tanned skin and Spanish features. We can agree that JWoww played up the part of an Italian Guidette throughout the show. With her spray tanning, bronzer, intense highlights, and care for her physique, we couldn’t even tell the difference.
While you still might be in shock that Jenni isn’t Italian, she’s not the only one. One of the most famous cast members, Snooki, is actually of Chilean descent! She was adopted at a young age by Italian parents and honored the culture. These two superstars sure know how to be awesome Guidettes, minus the Italian roots.

The reality star has a degree in graphic design from the New York Institute of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in computer programming. We absolutely love that Jenni made sure to pursue an education after graduating from high school and respect her difficult programs.

22 JWoww Had No Clue What A ‘Guidette’ Was Before 'Jersey Shore'
While we can’t imagine anyone being a better Guidette than the female cast of Jersey Shore, we’re totally laughing that Jenni didn’t even know what one was before Jersey Shore. For those who don’t know, a Guidette usually portrayed as they are seen in the Jersey Shore, bronzed, hair done, make-up on point and high heels.
While Jenni rocks the part, we loved that she didn’t even know what a Guidette was before booking the part for Jersey Shore. The producers contacted JWoww to audition for the Jersey Shore as they thought her edgy attitude and confident personality would make her the perfect roommate. Little did she know that her bleach blonde hair and addiction for bronzer would actually make her the perfect fit for the show.
JWoww was quick to figure out how to better adapt to the role of a Guidette and crushed it in the process. We can’t imagine anyone taking JWoww’s part on Jersey Shore as she’s an iconic castmate. We even think that JWoww added her own little flair to the idea of what being a Guidette is.
21 She Met Her Current Husband When Dating Tom Lippolis
JWoww had some relationship issues with her boyfriend Tom Lippolis in the first season of Jersey Shore when she became involved with castmate Pauly Delvecchio. Once the episode aired, her boyfriend at the time Tom decided to give her another chance and they continued their relationship into the third season of Jersey Shore.
However, then the angels sang and doves flew once Jenni met her future husband Roger Matthews at the Jersey Shore. The two hit it off tremendously and fell for each other immediately.
The only thing standing in between the two is the fact that JWoww was still with her original boyfriend Tom Lippolis at the time.
This created some tension in Jenni’s life as she had to make a decision as to what to do.

Jersey Shore skyrocketed the careers of the cast mates on the show with endless opportunities. The cast was incredibly lucky that they were able to make a ton of money filming on Jersey Shore, alongside the outside business opportunities they were offered!
During the first season, the cast actually starred in Jersey Shore for free as they were so thrilled to have the chance to take part and there wasn't a huge budget for the show since they didn't know if it would succeed. The only income that they earned during the first season was from their part-time job at the t-shirt shop. We’re happy they were actually able to earn some money.
Later on in the series, the castmate made $30,000 per episode. Finally, as JWoww entered the 6thand final season of the show, she earned a whopping $100,000 per episode. Her character was widely known as always protecting her best friend Snooki, going to the bathroom behind bars, arguing her roommates, and always getting into disagreements with Sammi.
While we’re proud that Jenni is able to earn so much through her role on Jersey Shore, her other cast mates such as Snooki, The Situation, and DJ Pauly D made $2 million during the 6thseason.
19 Before 'Jersey Shore' JWoww Was A Nanny
We can totally see JWoww’s maternal nature with her two children nowadays. She’s constantly posting the most adorable photos of them on her social media channels. Alongside spending endless hours decorating their rooms, taking them on fun trips, and overall spending quality time with her children. We adore her relationship with her kids, especially since she didn’t have her mother around much growing up due to her unknown health condition.

18 JWoww Auditioned For The Reality Series 'Paris Hilton’s My New BFF'
We love that JWoww actually auditioned for the reality TV show on MTV titled Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. The reality show showcased a cast competing to become Paris Hilton’s new best friend forever.
Jenni used to work as a bartender and nightclub promoter prior to being cast on Jersey Shore. Apparently, the club was always filled with constant castings for reality TV shows.
Jenni’s best friend had convinced her to audition for Paris Hilton’s My New BFF in hopes of maybe landing one of the parts. Jenni wasn’t so obsessed with the idea but filled out the form describing herself anyways. The production team did not find Jenni to be exactly what they were looking for causing for her to not get the role.
Yet, the story gets even better. The production team ended up contacting Jenny back and asking her if she would be interested in auditioning for a new show called Jersey Shore. They said they thought Jenni would a perfect character for the show, and Jwoww took the plunge and auditioned! It seems as if it was just meant to be.
17 She Has Terrible Stage Fright
Who could believe that JWoww has terrible stage fright? She is always in front of the camera saying hilarious things and having a good time with her friends. Plus, her confident attitude is something we could only wish to achieve. Overall, Jenni seems to be absolutely fearless. Surprisingly though, apparently this isn’t true at all.
We all get jitters having to give a presentation for work or school, or maybe having to say a speech at our BFF’s wedding. But apparently, Jenni gets full of anxiety when having to speak out loud!
She tweeted back in 2013 “Worst stage fright ever!!!!! Ahhhh I’ll never get over my fear.”
We can't blame Jenni for getting nervous when she has to speak at such prominent events such as presenting an award, being a co-host, or having to make an appearance.

But even though Jenni is absolutely scared of having to speak in public, we’re proud to say she is constantly working at her fear by making public speaking appearances. 16 JWoww Has A Sleeve Of Disney Tattoos With A Twist
We find it absolutely adorable that Jenni decided to get a sleeve tattoo influenced by Disney characters! The gorgeous reality TV star’s huge tattoo showcases her favorite princesses, which includes Belle, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella.
We totally adore her tattoos and love that she decided to get a sleeve of princesses. It’s literally our childhood dream. But apparently, these awesome tattoos have a little bit of a dark side behind them. While Jenni did an interview with Mag’s Magazine, she admitted: “I took my four favorite Disney love stories and flipped them so they are more rooted in reality.” We were surprised to find this out as we assumed she was simply paying tribute to her favorite princesses.
JWoww went on to explain “So with Ariel and Eric, Eric is looking away like he wants nothing to do with her and Ariel is looking at him with desperate puppy eyes, and For Beauty and the Beast, he is a real beast. Sleeping Beauty won't be waking up. Her prince is crying over her because he knows that he pushed her to that limit. And Cinderella’s prince is arguing with her. To me, that is the reality of relationships, they are imperfect and take hard work — not that happily ever after issues.”
15 She Is A Talented Artist
We were excited to find out that Jenni is gifted with so many talents. In addition to being a reality TV star, she is also a phenomenal artist constantly drawing, painting, and working on graphic designs.
The pictures above? JWoww drew them. Not only does she have a warm heart, she is also incredibly talented at drawing. However, JWoww admits that now as a mom she does not have as much time to draw as she used to but she tries to once in a while do a few sketches.

14 She Worked Part Time As A Model
In the past, Jenni worked as a motorcycle and car model in order to promote a business she worked for. The photos are incredible and show off Jenni’s physic in the best way possible. Even Jenni’s cameo on Jersey Shore in the first episode showcased her awesome past in modeling!
We can all agree that all of her female cast mates were hesitant of JWoww’s good looks and modeling gigs. According to an interview with Ink, Jenni said her good looks aided her in getting a few bartending and club positions.

13 She Did Not Think She Would Be Cast On 'Jersey Shore'
We’re sad to hear that Jenni didn’t think she would land the spot to appear on Jersey Shore as the show just wouldn’t be the same without her! But apparently, the process was so incredibly difficult that JWoww didn’t think she even had a shot.
While Jenni worked at a club in New York, she got the opportunity to try out for the MTV show Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. However, a few months later the producers recommended that Jenni try out for a new show called Jersey Shore for VH1.
The producers thought that Jenni had a much better image to appear on the show as she resembled a classic Guidette. Even though Jenni had no idea what a Guidette was and isn’t even Italian. Instead, Jenni made it down to the top 20 and was invited to a hotel to stay there a few days in order for the producers to pick who they wanted.
When Jenni arrived at the hotel and saw the other girls, she didn’t think she had a shot as she didn’t exactly fit the classic image.
She also didn't know what the producers were looking for so she couldn't play up her personality to their liking. In the end, the producers told her to pack her bags as she thankfully made it on the show!
12 Her Current Net Worth Is Estimated To Be $4 Million
Thanks to all of the opportunities that were brought from starring in Jersey Shore, JWoww built herself an awesome brand. Initially, JWoww made up to $150,000 per episode at the prime of Jersey Shore. At the end of the 6thseason, the TV star earned $2 million for the whole season. With the release of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, JWoww continues to rake in the dough.

While Honey Boo Boo might not be cooking Sunday dinners like the gang of Jersey Shore, the family is for sure figuring out a way to make Mac N Cheese even cheesier!
A few years ago, JWoww told Access Hollywood “I love her!”.
She added “They’re kind of like us in a sense – they don’t care, they’re a big family, they love who they are. We love who we are.”
JWoww continued, “They’re different, but at the end of the day, they’re not doing anything harmful. They’re just having a great time.” Awe how sweet is Jenni!

10 JWoww Worked As A Bartender At A Night Club After College
Most of us know how difficult being a young adult is. You probably just finished college and now you're thrown into the real world to get a job and start your life. It’s an intimidating experience and usually involves a ton of hard work and savings.
After Jenni finished her college degree in computer programing, it was time for her to get a job and support herself financially. She found a good job working as a bartender at a club at night, while she pursued other goals during the day. While her bartending job was difficult as it involved staying up late and constantly working, she earned a decent salary. Especially with all of the tips she made from being one of the most popular bartenders there.
As we mentioned earlier, it's because of this job that she was in the right place at the right time to be cast in Jersey Shore. Jenni’s struggle goes to show that hard work will eventually lead to success. It’s awesome to see the universe repay Jenni for all of her constant hard work in starting her life!
9 She Is Proud To Be The Mother Of Two Children
Jenni is super proud to be the mother of two incredibly adorable children! While many people couldn’t exactly see the cast of Jersey Shore eventually settling down from their late night nights to start a family, JWoww, Snooki, and Dj Pauly D all became proud parents! We couldn’t be happier for the bunch of Guidos and Guidettes.
With her husband Roger Matthews, Jenni had a beautiful baby girl Milanie Alexandra Matthews in 2014.

8 It Took Her Two Years To Get On 'Jersey Shore'
Shortly after finishing college, Jenni landed an awesome opportunity to try out for Jersey Shore through her gig as a bartender at a club in New York. However, we were surprised to find out that the process to get on Jersey Shore took two years!
Initially, Jersey Shore was supposed to appear on VH1, but then MTV picked it up. Jenni had to constantly attend auditions and meetings for the show. She also had to buy a video camera to take videos of what her hectic lifestyle was like in order to be seen as a good fit for the show. Since phones with cameras weren’t as prominent back then, this process took forever and was pretty difficult. Eventually, Jenni was one of the top 20 to appear on the show and had to spend a few days at a hotel while the producers interviewed her.
The process was overall incredibly long, yet worked out in the end as Jenni landed the spot! We’re happy Jenni never gave up and was relentless about getting onto the show. It’s insane that the casting took two years in the making in order to find the perfect cast to be on the Jersey Shore.
7 She Presented Her Own Clothing Line
One of the most iconic aspects of Jersey Shore was the fashion. The female cast mates totally had Paris Hilton 2000 vibes with a mix of Italian style. They were constantly blinged out in rhinestones, low hung jeans, mini dresses, heels, creating wow-factor outfits. These girls weren’t afraid to pull out all of the stops to look their best.
We can all remember some of JWoww’s more out-there outfits in Jersey Shore. With her low cut tops, the iconic meme was created of Vinny yelling to Jenny as they were about to go to the club: “JWoww, you forgot your shirt”, eluding to her top.
Jenny took her iconic style and worked with a team of fashion designers to launch her own clothing line called Filthy Couture.
With JWoww’s artistic talents and love for fashion, it was only right that the reality TV star launched her own clothing line!

With the hit of Jersey Shore, JWoww and Snooki got the amazing opportunity to branch off with their own reality TV show! The endless opportunities of Jersey Shore always came back and benefited the girls in awesome ways.
JWoww and Snooki were noted as being the closest two on Jersey Shore, making sense that they would create their own reality TV show. Sorry Sammi and Deena, but you guys just don’t have the bond that the other two have! The show premiered in 2012 and surprisingly was a hit. It showcased the journey of Snooki and JWoww after the Jersey Shore heading into more settled down lifestyles.
Since Snooki became pregnant in the 6thseason of the Jersey Shore, the producers understood they couldn’t go on because she was one of the primary stars of the show. However, it worked out perfectly that Snooki and JWoww branched off into their own show now that captured their lives becoming moms.

Jenni did not care at all about the negative feedback Jersey Shore got at times. Primarily because the cast mates truly became her family. It’s true that at times they had a ton of arguments, such as the times Jenni fought with Sammi and Mike, but other than that they were all friends.

Jenni is a talented artist and intellect. She not only has one but two degrees in both graphic design and computer programming. Throughout her life, Jenni produced endless graphics and drawings. Her dream was to finish school, and eventually become a graphic designer for Disney Pixar.
JWoww was and is totally obsessed with Disney movies and characters. Plus with her obsession for art, it was always her lifelong dream to work for the company. With the endless amount of fame that came JWoww’s way, it's only fair that she monetizes it. That’s why the iconic Jersey Shore star decided to release a book.
The book is titled The Rules According to JWOWW: Shore-Tested Secrets on Landing a Mint Guy, Staying Fresh to Death, and Kicking the Competition to the Curb. 1 JWoww And Snooki Are Still BFFs
We are all so thrilled to hear that our favorite BFFs are still tight BFFs. Jenni and Snooki are such an iconic best friend duo who stuck with each other through everything that was thrown at them. Snooki even quoted from one of her Youtube videos that the first time she saw Jenni and her Jersey style, she understood that she was going to be her best friend! And so that happened.
We can all recall that from the first season of Jersey Shore, Jenni wasn't completely in love with Snooki due to her loud and sometimes difficult attitude. However, once Snooki found herself in trouble at a bar, Jenni and the rest of the roommates jumped in to protect Snooki!
JWoww and Snooki were able to excel past Jersey Shore and remain best friends through their spin-off show. They had children at the same time making their bond even stronger through their endless play dates.
