Most beauty products make us fall in love with them because of how well they work. Whether it's a brand new product that we just tried for the first time or a product we've repurchased over and over because it's a tried and true classic, there are tons of beauty products that we love because of how well they work for us. But what makes us pick up a product off the shelves, to begin with? Sometimes, it's because we've heard about it on YouTube or social media or through our favorite bloggers and just had to try it out. Other times, it's just because of the adorable packaging.
We know, we know, we're taught not to judge a book by its cover, but what about judging a makeup product by its packaging? The packaging that some makeup products come in is just too cute to resist and we can't help but fall in love at first sight! Luckily for us, a lot of these products work really well too and aren't just a pretty package. Everyone has their own way of storing their makeup, but there are some products that look so good, we just want to leave them out on display all the time.
25 Benefit's Hello Happy Foundation
This foundation from Benefit was launched recently and became a favorite pretty instantly for people who like to wear a light-to-medium coverage foundation and have that perfect "no makeup" look. If you hate the feeling of having a thick, heavy foundation on your face but like to have your skin tone evened out and your pores blurred away, Benefit's Hello Happy foundation is perfect.
On top of how well its users say that it works, the packaging is just precious.
It comes in a square bottle with a metallic pink lid which is different from all the round, glass bottles in the foundation aisle. And the cutest part? The happy face on the back!
24 MatteTrance Lipstick From Pat McGrath Labs
For the most part, lipstick packaging is all pretty much the same. Unless it's a liquid lipstick, they all come in some kind of a variation of a regular tube of lipstick. While that's great and we know that they work really well for keeping the shape of the lipstick and making it easy to store and apply, it's just not always all that cute.
But, this lipstick takes that regular tube of lipstick and puts a super cute twist on it. This MatteTrance Lipstick from Pat McGrath Labs looks like a regular, sleek tube of lipstick until you turn it around and see that it has a pair of lips on the packaging!
23 The Minutes To Mermaid Brush Set From Tarte
If Ariel had a makeup collection under the sea, we're pretty sure that it would include Tarte's mermaid-inspired collection, Be a Mermaid & Make Waves. The collection featured a ton of different products like Mermaid Sea-quins and face jewels, Mer-Mist shimmer spray, Mermaid Waves salt spray to give you that perfect beachy hair, and these gorgeous mermaid-themed makeup brushes, among other products.
The mermaid tail brush collection adorably named the Minutes to Mermaid Brush Set, comes with a powder brush, cheek brush, pencil brush, eyeshadow brush, and a highlighter blush.
All the brushes have a mermaid tail with a colorful gradient across the scales and pink bristles that are vegan and cruelty-free!
22 Glossier Cloud Paint
Everything from Glossier comes packaged absolutely adorably, so it's really hard for us to not just put their entire product line here. But, one of our favorites when it comes to packaging has to be their Cloud Paint. This liquid blush comes in super minimalistic tubes that just have the color at the top and the name of the product printed onto an otherwise white tube. True to the name, these products look just like a tube of acrylic paint!
Inside the cute packaging, these blushes are sheer and easy to build up the color without putting on too much, a problem that makeup lovers often find with other cream or liquid blush products.
21 Shake & Shot Rubber Masks From Dr. Jart+
Is that a delicious summertime smoothie or blended coffee? Nope! It's a face mask that comes in super cute and unique packaging! Although it may be tempting to pick these little cups up and take a sip out of the colorful straw, these Shake & Shot Rubber Masks from skincare brand Dr. Jart+ are for your face, not your stomach!
These masks come in four different varieties, depending on your skin's needs.
Whether you need a mask that hydrates, brightens, firms, or soothes, one of these masks is perfect. Under the lid, you'll find two products that mix together to make a mask that goes on and peels off with no mess!
20 #LipStories From Sephora Collection
The Sephora collection #LipStories lipstick are all based on traveling and having adventures. What good is going on a road trip or heading out to a new city or country with your BFFs if you don't have the perfect lipstick to keep you looking great the entire time? These lipsticks come in three different finishes, so whether you're heading out in the city you live in or exploring a brand new place, there's a color and finish for any occasion.
The lipstick inside these packages are great, but the packaging is really what drew us in. While they're basically just a regular, round lipstick tube, the photos printed on them are just too cute. The pictures are of different things like food, landmarks, and other objects.
19 Tarte's Rainforest Of The Sea Foil Finger Paints Shadow Palette
Inside of this eyeshadow palette from Tarte are five different eyeshadows in four different pans. In three of the pans are warm-toned foiled shadows in gold, brown, and berry tones. The last two shadows are in a split-pan and are gorgeously cool-toned sparkly shades to use as an accent to any makeup look.
Although the shades inside are beautiful and perfect for a glittery addition to any eye look, can we just talk about the packaging?
Seriously, the outside of this palette is truly what made us fall in love with it. This gold palette is covered in tiny beads in different blue, white, and turquoise shades with larger pieces of turquoise-colored rocks scattered throughout.
18 Too Faced's Sweetie Pie Bronzer
The entire Peaches and Cream collection from Too Faced is just precious. Along with being scented like a deliciously sweet peach, the products are infused with fig cream and peach which means that they're good for your skin, too! The packaging on all of them is cute with the light pink color and cursive font, but this bronzer, in particular, is just too cute to resist.
And it isn't just the outside packaging, either! Once this bronzer is opened, it reveals a lattice pattern that combines three different colors to look just like a delicious pie crust. When blended together, these colors give the perfect bronzed glow.
17 Paul & Joe's April In Paris Collection
Paul & Joe isn't a makeup brand that a lot of people know about, but true makeup lovers are probably familiar with them and their ever adorable packaging. And if you weren't before, you are now! Like many of Paul & Joe's other products, their limited edition April in Paris collection came packaged absolutely adorable.
Of everything that came in this collection, their Face & Eye Color CS trio has got to be the cutest.
No, those aren't tiny vinyl records, those are dual-use cheek and eye powders! Simply peel the black lid up to reveal the powder. How clever is that?
16 La Rose Blush À Poudrer From Lancôme
Have you ever bought a product that was just so nice you were almost scared to use it? This highlighter from Lancôme is like that for us. It comes in a vintage-inspired box that was traditionally used in the 1950s to hold loose face powder, but when you open it, it's got so much more in it than just powder.
Inside is a gorgeous rose that is covered in a subtle, pink highlighter. When you swirl your brush around on it, you pick some up and can apply it to your cheekbones, the tip of your nose, and anywhere else you want a little bit of extra highlight.
15 Kjaer Weis' Cream Blush Compact
Sometimes, simplicity is the key/ Some of these products made us fall in love because their packaging is so intricate or clever, but then there are products like this one. This Kjaer Weis cream blush doesn't have a particularly eye-catching packaging when you first look at it, we have to admit. But the fact that it's opened by twisting the lid around instead of pulling it open like some other traditional clamshell lids makes it really stand out.
Inside the ultra-sleek packaging, this blush has some ingredients in it that are super good for your skin too.
With ingredients like jojoba oil to help moisturize your skin and antioxidants from gardenia florida extract, it's clear that this blush is gorgeous inside and out.
14 Benefit's Box O' Powder Products
Some of the most popular products from Benefit Cosmetics are their Box O' Powder products. These products come in blush, bronzer, and highlighter, so there's one for every part of your makeup collection. Products like Benefit's iconic Hoola Bronzer and Coralista Blush have been favorites among makeup lovers for what feels like forever and we totally see why!
Along with the products being great, these products come in the most precious packaging. Instead of just coming in regular compacts like other blush, bronzer, and highlighters do, these Box O' Powders come in, well, a box! Each box has a unique print all over it and a mirror inside. Plus, they each come with a precious little brush!
13 Moschino Fresh Couture
Ready to wipe your mirror down and clean your windows? Need a product that's going to leave them with that streak-free shine? Although this bottle may look exactly like that famous cleaning spray, it's something much sweeter - it's perfume! This perfume from Moschino is called Moschino Fresh Couture and it comes in the most clever perfume bottle.
Moschino always has the most clever packaging when it comes to their beauty products, but this perfume is one of our favorites.
With fragrance notes like bergamot, peony, raspberry, and patchouli, this perfume is a light, fresh fragrance that smells perfect in the spring and summer.
12 KEVIN.MURPHY Hair Care
KEVIN.MURPHY is an Australian-based brand that makes hair care products. The brand's philosophy is based on making hair care products that really work for your hair and make it look and feel its best. KEVIN.MURPHY also focuses on using the best quality natural ingredients in their products and use products like mango butter to help and smooth hair, desert lime and lotus flower to repair damage, and bamboo and orange blossom to moisturize.
While the products inside of KEVIN.MURPHY's hair care line are great, we totally fell in love with the packaging first. Everything in the line is super minimal and comes in these geometrically shaped packages that look so different from the rest of the shampoo aisle!
11 Kat Von D's Saint + Sinner Palette
Kat Von D is always coming out with innovative beauty products that her fans just can't get enough of. One product that was highly anticipated was her Saint + Sinner palette. After it was announced, makeup lovers had to wait what felt like ages before the 2017 release date was finally announced and makeup lovers couldn't be happier.
Everything about the packaging of this palette is totally gorgeous.
The outside of the palette is black with intricate gold details on it and the palette itself opens on both sides like doors.
Then, the palette is split into two sides, just like the name suggests. On the "Saint" side, there are beautiful lighter shades and more neutral colors. On the other side, the one labeled "Sinner," are more bright pops of color.
10 Fresh Beauty's Rose Deep Hydration Facial Toner
This alcohol-free toner is infused with real rose petals which help to hydrate your skin while it removes impurities and makeup that washing your face might have missed. While there are a ton of toners on the market, a lot of them can be drying and too harsh on the skin, so it's important to find one that really works for you.
The packaging for this one is a simple bottle, but we still totally love it because of that. The clear bottle means that you can see exactly how much product is left and, more importantly, all those gorgeous rose petals floating around inside. When it's shaken up, they float around inside and it's totally mesmerizing.
9 Glossier Balm Dotcom
Glossier's Balm Dotcom is a favorite product among many makeup lovers because of the fact that it does so many things.
It's a super hydrating lip balm but it can also be used on patches of dry skin to help soothe and moisturize it as well.
These balms come in six different varieties and are all great.
The best part is that they come in the cutest packaging! Like other Glossier products, they come in a super minimalist package that just has the label and a small section that shows off the color - or in the Birthday Balm Doctom variety, the shimmer - of the product inside.
8 Drunk Elephant Skincare
We all know that taking care of our skin is important, but skincare products don't always have the eye-catching and adorable packaging that makeup does. Although a lot of it does look nice, there's also a lot that just doesn't pull us in. Still, we know how important it is to keep our skin clean and moisturized, so we use it anyway.
Drunk Elephant is a skincare brand that has become super popular in the beauty world lately and, on top of working so well, it has really cute packaging! The packaging of each product is white with their logo and the name of the product but they differ in their colorful lid colors.
7 The L'Occitane x Rifle Paper Co. Collaboration
L'Occitane is an international company based in France. The company sells a wide range of bath, body, and home products but is mostly known for their hand cream. Recently, they teamed up with Rifle Paper Co., a lifestyle company.
Rifle Paper Co. is known for their stationery products like journals, notebooks, and greeting cards as well as other products like phone cases.
The collaboration that Rifle Paper Co. and L'Occitane had together involved creating special packaging with the Rifle Paper Co. aesthetic for L'Occitane's products. While L'Occitane products already come in adorable packaging, the floral prints that Rifle Paper Co. added for these limited edition ones are even cuter.
6 The Too Faced Chocolate Bonbons Palette
How do the people at Too Faced always come up with such adorable packaging? Seriously, it's hard not to include almost everything from this brand because it's always so cute and creative. One of their most popular palettes for a long time was their Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette. Along with looking just like a chocolate bar on the outside of the palette, it smells like one too due to being infused with real cocoa powder!
The Chocolate Bonbons palette is a spin-off of the original Chocolate Bar palette and is just as cute and delicious smelling. Each pan of eyeshadow is in a heart shape, minus the two lighter shades which are in larger rectangles.
5 Wide Awake Brightening Eye Cream From Saturday Skin
If you've browsed through the skincare section of Sephora lately, you've probably seen this logo around. Saturday Skin is a skincare brand that's gotten tons of hype around the beauty community lately because its products are getting so popular. Outside of just being popular for how well they work, these products are also loved by Instagram accounts and YouTube gurus alike because of how precious the packaging is.
All of it comes in this pastel pink color, save for the sheet masks that can also come in a vibrant teal, and are super minimalistic.
With nothing more than this bold, white logo across the front of most of them, it can almost be hard to tell what the product is. But, that just gives us an excuse to pick it up and look at it more!
4 Fenty Beauty's Fairy Bomb Glittering Pom Pom
When Rihanna released her summer collection from her makeup line, Fenty Beauty, it was all about having an all-over glow on your entire body. We all know how bad it is for your skin to be out in the sun, but that doesn't stop us from wanting to have a gorgeous glowy tan on our bodies. Luckily, with products like fake tanners and the Fairy Bomb Glittering Pom Pom and Body Lava from Fenty Beauty, we don't need to hit the sun to achieve that look!
Body glitter is nothing new but Fenty Beauty's huge, ultra soft pom-pom is a totally unique application method. And there's no need to dip it in the glitter to get some because the pom-pom itself is loaded up with the product already!
3 Being By Sanctuary Spa
The packaging on the Being line from Sanctuary Spa is pretty normal for bath and body products like these. The bottles they come in may look like your average bottles of body wash and lotion, but there's still something special about the look of them that draws us in just by looking at them!
The labels on these bottles are anything but ordinary: they have faces on them!
As if that wasn't clever enough of a design for the labels of these products, they aren't just any faces. Nope, the eyes on these faces are made of fruit that reflects the scent of the product inside. Delicious!
2 OUAI's Sun Of A Beach Ombré Spray
Everyone is looking for that perfect ombré, right? But, getting that done by a professional at the salon can get expensive! Doing it at home isn't exactly an option for most people either because it can be pretty tricky to get the perfect ombré and have it look just right if you're doing it at home by yourself. Luckily, OUAI has a product that makes getting a natural ombré that looks great without needing a trip to the spa so easy!
This heat activated spray has lemon juice, pineapple juice, coconut water, and hydrogen peroxide to naturally lighten your hair very subtly without the damage of bleach. All you have to do is spray it on and go into the sun or use your blow dryer! On top of working well, this package's holographic bottle totally draws the eye in and we can't help but stare.
1 Cinnamon Buns Shower Gel From Philosophy
Philosophy has a ton of different bath and body products ranging from fragrances to lotions to shower gel and cleanser. A lot of them are based around having really light, breezy scents that are easy to wear without being too overpowering. One of their most popular products is their Cinnamon Buns shower gel that can also be used as a shampoo and bubble bath.
Although this bottle may look like an average bottle of shower gel, if you look closer you'll notice that the text on the front isn't just the name or ingredients.
It's a recipe! If the scent of this sweet and spicy shower gel wasn't enough to make us hungry, that recipe sure would.
