Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra haven’t been together for very long and yet they have quite the whirlwind love story that has now been sealed with a marriage ceremony.
These two made their first public appearance together at the 2017 Met Gala but just claimed to be friends at the time. As Insider reports, Priyanka claimed it had been fun, but didn't elaborate.
Almost a year later, they were engaged to be married. Now they've recently released their first official wedding photos.
These two have been giving us all kinds of feels since they started dating and when we think about true love, it’s not hard for us to think about these two. They had both a Christian and Hindu ceremony, and to say that the wedding was beautiful would be the understatement of the year.

30 When They Met, Nick Jonas Got Down On One Knee
It wasn’t his proposal, he was just meeting her for the first time! Clearly she had an effect on him. The two weren’t strangers, as they had been texting for a while before they met IRL at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party.
"And I put my drink down," Jonas told Vogue, Insider reports, "get on one knee — this is in front of a bunch of people — and I say, 'You're real. Where have you been all my life?' Like, loud."
29 She Was Hoping For A Goodnight Kiss
Before the Met Gala, the two met for a drink at The Carlyle in N.Y.C and afterward, she invited him back to her apartment for a drink. But it wasn’t what you would think, since her mother was home watching Law & Order, People reports.
“We hung out for a couple of hours. He patted my back before he left.”
Chopra stated that she was disappointed Jonas left her home without giving her a kiss. “It was too respectful if you ask me,” Chopra said in a Vogue interview, People reports.
28 It Was Serious When They Started Meeting The Family
After Nick Jonas brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding, it wasn’t long after that that he met her family. It was then that things were starting to get serious between them. “It’s a huge deal that Nick brought Priyanka to his cousin’s wedding,” a source close to the couple told People.
“He’s dated a lot over the last couple years, but it’s never been anything serious, so this is a big step.”
“Nick and Priyanka really like each other, and his family enjoyed getting to know her as well,” the source added. “She fit right in!”

Fans absolutely loved when this picture was posted of the couple double-dating with Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner. They also brought Chopra’s mother Madhu to the U.S. Open match with them in which Serena Williams was playing, Times Now News reports. Sophie Turner posted a few pictures on social media, stating,
"Wow. First I’m blessed with an incredible future brother-in-law, and now such a beautiful, inside and out, future sister-in-law.

26 Chopra Felt A Sudden Shift
Sometimes, when you are dating someone, you just know when you have met someone special. During one date that she had with Jonas in LA, Priyanka said she felt a sudden shift. It started when Jonas said,
“I love the way you look at the world. I love the drive you have.”
“I’ve never had a guy tell me, ‘I like your ambition,’” Chopra said, according to Entertainment Tonight Canada. “It’s always been the opposite.” Sounds like she met her match.
25 They Got Engaged On Her Birthday
“It was Nick who sent the first message,” Chopra said, recalling the start of their relationship. As Vogue reports, Jonas was smitten and he sent a text to Graham Rogers, Chopra’s co-star on Quantico, “Priyanka. Is. Wow.’”
Priyanka turned 36 this year and when it came time to celebrate her birthday, she got a pretty great gift. The two got engaged while in Crete celebrating her birthday this summer, Vogue reports. He purchased a ring at a London Tiffany & Co. store.
24 They Were Ready To Tell The Whole World
It wasn’t until they were engaged that the couple was really ready to officially confirm their relationship status. In August of this year, we started seeing posts going up on social media about the couple and their engagement.
“Future Mrs. Jonas. My heart. My love,” was how Jonas captioned a shot of the couple embracing, India Today reports.

23 He Was Determined To Get A Date
Not too many women would respond to a random message from a guy they had never met, but it was Nick Jonas after all. He sent Priyanka an instant message on Twitter as he was determined to get a date.
“I’m hearing from a few mutual friends that we should meet,"
Nick said, according to Vogue. He then told the rest of the story: “She responded with a message that said, ‘My team can read this. Why don’t you just text me.’” He got her number!
22 She Knocked Him Off His Feet
It’s pretty obvious that Nick Jonas was quite taken by Priyanka right from the beginning. We all hope to find a guy that looks at us the way that he looks at her. After the Met Gala, Joe Jonas stated how Nick felt about her.
“I think she kind of knocked him off his feet. He was just this little puppy dog,”
Joe said, as reported by India Today. Joe still has a photo he took of Nick at the end of the night. “He’s sitting on the floor. And Sophie and I were just laughing at him," he recalled. "We’re like, 'Look at this little smitten, drunk kid right now.'”
21 The Two Started Celebrating Their Upcoming Nuptials
After they became engaged, the couple traveled to Mumbai, India where both sides of their family came together to celebrate. It must have been quite the experience for everyone to meet each other. "People would ask us, in interview settings and in private, 'Are you guys seeing each other?'" Jonas said, as Business Insider reports. "And the answer was no.
People thought we were being coy, and so did we, until we cut to now and we're engaged, so the story sort of wrote itself.
We then met up a couple of months ago, five months ago now, and it was kind of immediate. We just knew it was right and jumped right in."
20 They Loved Making Things Official
Nick Jonas stated that when they decided to make things official by bringing their families together, the moment felt magical. Now, how cute is that? "It's funny that we had this beautiful ceremony — we felt so connected," he said, as reported by Cosmopolitan. "Our families all met. It was spiritual and then we put it on Instagram — oh my [gosh], it's official!"
We couldn’t be happier for these two, they have obviously found each other at the right time.
19 There Was A Moment For Him
The two have had some pretty pivotal moments during their relationship so far. When they were still in the early phase of their relationship, Jonas invited Chopra to a live performance of Beauty and the Beast. When the two met up at the Chateau Marmont, she was like a vision to him. As he told Vogue:
“She walks into the Chateau, and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life.”
They weren’t done dating either. The next day, they hit up a Dodgers game. It was that morning that Jonas called his mother and said Chopra was the girl he was going to marry. This was only date number three, but when you know, you know!
18 The Proposal Was Everything For Them
We can just imagine Nick Jonas getting down on one knee and proposing. Just the thought of it melts our hearts. “I got down on one knee, again, and I said, 'Will you make me the happiest man in the world and marry me?'” Jonas told Vogue.
“No joke — she took about 45 seconds. Forty-five seconds of silence.” Chopra said she was speechless. Jonas pressed on. “I’m going to put this ring on your finger now unless you have any objections.”
She was hesitating, she was just overjoyed.
17 They Had A Formal Roka For Blessings
A Roka was one of the pre-wedding ceremonies performed for the couple. It is a traditional Hindu engagement tradition, as Glamour reports. How cute is this picture? Jonas couldn’t look more in love if he tried.
“It was such an incredible coming together of two really ancient cultures and religions,” Chopra said, as Glamour reports. “Nick did the Hindu prayers. The prayers are in Sanskrit. Even I can’t say them. But he did it in Sanskrit. The Indians were so impressed with their National Jiju.”
As Glamour explains "Jiju" is Jonas's nickname in the Indian press, and it means "brother-in-law" or "sister's husband."
16 Ideas Of Children Are In The Future
Chopra is 36 (10 years older than Jonas), and she is still very much looking forward to starting a family. Now that the couple is married, we’re sure that a family isn’t far off. The two have certainly moved fast with their relationship so far!
“My ultimate dream is to have kids,” Chopra has said in the past, as Times Now News reports. “As many as I can.”

15 The Wedding Was Truly Epic
The couple had to obtain a marriage licence. As The Blast reports, they got it at the Beverly Hills courthouse. As the site explains, they had to bring the licence to India with them for their wedding, and then file the licence in the U.S. so that it would be official in both countries. Exciting! The wedding itself was to take place for three days and they knew it would be epic.
“People will need vacations after this wedding,”
Chopra said, as Vanity Fair reports. Many well-known guests were invited, such as Kelly Ripa and Lupita Nyong'o.
14 Jonas Was To Ride In On A Horse
There are plenty of Indian customs that come with a wedding and Chopra made sure that Jonas was well prepared for them. They had two weddings. One was a Christian, traditional ceremony, and the other was Hindu. Both were set to be held in different spots at the palace in Rajasthan, Vogue reports.
Having a wedding that caters to both religions is truly special and sure to make great memories for the couple that last a lifetime. And, Jonas was going to ride in on a horse! How romantic!
13 He's In Awe Of Her, Even On Social Media
If you follow either of them on social media, you will likely see their cute comments on each other’s photos. Jonas is clearly smitten with Priyanka and when he sees pictures of her, he can’t help but comment on them. When she was posting pictures of her bachelorette party, he made sure to let her know he was thinking about her. “I am fully insta stalking you….” he wrote, “You are so beautiful.” We love it.

When there are two different religions within the relationship, the best way to compromise is to have a ceremony that respects both.
“It is super important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honors her heritage and culture, just as it’s important to also have a Western ceremony that honors Nick’s Christian upbringing,”
Harper's Bazaar states. “They are doing both.”
11 Priyanka’s Mother Walked Her Down The Aisle
Traditionally, the father will walk the bride down the aisle, but in this case Priyanka had her mother escort her. Priyanka shed tears on her way up the aisle.
“I think I was nervous and scared. But as soon as the curtains opened and I saw [Nick's] face, it was just like everything settled, and I knew I was making the best decision of my life,”
Chopra said, as MSN reports. They were married by Jonas’ father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr.
10 The Most Epic Wedding Veil
We haven’t seen anything like the veil that was on Priyanka’s beautiful Ralph Lauren wedding gown.
It was adorned with 2,380,000 mother of pearl sequins that were embroidered by hand and had an epic 75-foot long tulle veil.
As you can see in the picture, it took more than four men to help her down the aisle with it. We are pretty impressed with the train and it’s the kind of element that would be hard to top.
9 She Had Her Dream Wedding
Every girl always has some thought in her mind as to what her dream wedding might look like and for Chopra, she didn’t have it all planned out.
“Every girl dreams of being a princess on her wedding day,” Chopra told People. “But I never had a plan about what I wanted it to be.”
It was Jonas’s idea to go big. “It melted my heart,” added Chopra. “Being able to have two big weddings, in India, with our closest family and friends was unbelievably special.”
8 Nick Got Emotional When He Saw His Bride
It wasn't just Priyanka who shed tears. When Nick Jonas saw his bride coming down the aisle, he got emotional. You don’t get much more amazing than that! Jonas told People magazine,
"The emotions were running high during the ceremonies, I think especially during the Western wedding for me. You know you think your whole life about that moment. Honestly, I could not have imagined it would be as perfect as it was.
It was highly emotional."
7 It Was A Perfect Wedding That Met Both Their Needs
The fact that they put a lot of effort into making the wedding special for both of them shows what they are willing to do for each other.
“I love that our wedding was a religious mash-up,”
Chopra said, according to People. “We took beautiful traditions that we both grew up with and personalized them in a way that made sense for us. It’s been incredible to find the commonalities between our beliefs and figuring out how to blend them in a respectful and meaningful way.”
6 They Are Planning A Long Life Together
One of the Hindu traditions that they took part in during the wedding ceremony was the act of walking around a fire seven times, with seven representing the seven lifetimes they will spend together. But Jonas was quick tell Vogue, "I'll take seven more."
That’s a really remarkable tradition to have in your marriage. Jonas is more than willing to spend a hundred lifetimes with Priyanka, and it gives us major couple envy.
5 They Blended Two Beautiful Families
It was pretty obvious that everyone involved in the wedding had respect for both cultures and that’s how you know you are a good match.
“One of the most special things our relationship has given us is a merging of families who love and respect each other’s faiths and cultures,” Chopra and Jonas wrote in a social media post after the event, as Cosmopolitan reports. “And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was so so amazing.”
4 Celebrating Together Was The Best Part
The most important part of the wedding was that both Jonas and Chopra had a fun time celebrating with the people that they loved.
“Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed,”
they said, as reported by MSN. The couple gave out wedding gift bags to the guests that, amongst other things, included Indian-inspired snacks. The gifts also contained a card from the couple, which contained the itinerary for the wedding weekend, Entertainment Tonight reports.
3 They Performed Musical Numbers For Each Other
Both sides of the family had to perform elaborate musical numbers to each other that came with choreography and costumes. It looked like they both had a fun time doing it and it must have been a great party.
“It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love,” Chopra wrote on her Instagram account, including a series of videos and photos from the big night. “Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre-wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.”
2 The Dancing Meant A Lot To Them
Priyanka continued to write about the dancing, saying, “And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.. #grateful.”
1 It’s Happily Ever After For Them
Now that the two are married, they have the rest of their lives to look forward to. After the wedding, the couple started to post pictures from their big day on social media, which was a great way to include their millions of fans in their special day.
“And forever starts now,” Chopra wrote. For his part, Jonas said, “Happiest day of my life.”
People released pictures from both wedding ceremonies the couple had, and the above words were how the couple captioned them.
