They're proof that opposites do attract! Blake is an Oklahoma country boy from the country music scene and Gwen is an “out there” platinum blonde who pushes borders in her music and fashion line. They are completely immersed in each other’s lives to the point where Gwen’s children are showering Blake with love and Father’s Day gifts. Gwen met Blake when they were both judges on The Voice. She told Harper’s Bazaar that she was struggling with her divorce and Blake helped her through it.

"And then it was just like everything flipped,"

she said. "It went from horrible to, like, hopeful and, like, 'Wow, God, you just don't know what's going to happen next.'”

18 They're Two Souls Coming Together

12 She Defends Their Relationship

During an interview with Howard Stern, the host implied that Shelton "worked his way in there" fast while she was going through her divorce. "It wasn't like that at all," Gwen replied, as 9News reports.

"It was the most unlikely situation to ever happen.” 

She went on to explain that the two barely talked before they taped The Voice, saying, "Nobody goes into each other's rooms and nobody talks to each other until we're [about to go on camera]."

11 They Were Friends First

Friendship's often the best way to start any relationship, and that's what happened for Gwen and Blake.

"I didn't know him, but you get to know him on the set, because he's so funny and he's so lovely,"

Gwen said, as 9News reports. "From the outside, he looks so happy and all those things." It’s easy for us to be attracted to happiness when we see it in other people.

10 Gwen Realized Their Similarities Early

Gwen was surprised that she and Blake were going through divorce at the same time.

"Blake was like, 'I got to talk to you guys,' and he basically made his announcement," Gwen said as 9News reports, recalling how Blake had announced his divorce to the cast and crew of The Voice.

 "I think I might have went white and was in shock because it felt like he was exposing me, do you know what I'm saying?"

That was when she realized that they could talk about their similar situations. "Then we just started this friendship, which was just [hard to believe] that God would put us in a position to have each other at that moment, in the same exact moment," Gwen added. "His thing had been going on since January, mine since February."

9 Blake Has Gushed About Their Strange Coincidences

Seriously, when you are with a guy that can’t help but gush about how the two of you are meant to be together, life must just be bliss. Blake has also been open about the serendipity of their relationship.

“My marriage fell apart, and then [I was] trying to pick the pieces up from being at rock bottom and then trying to move forward,"

Blake said, as The Boot reports. "Next thing you know, there’s this person that I kind of knew, that I worked with on the show, didn't really know her that well, and then all of a sudden, to find out she’s going through the exact same thing at the same time."

8 It Had To Be Fate!

The connection you feel with someone who feels like your soulmate is like nothing you've ever experienced. That’s probably why Blake feels like it was all meant to be.

"This is how my life turned around — and so quickly, too, by the way," he said, as Today reports. "It was like, 'Whoa!' All this just has to be meant to happen."

The two are still going strong after three years, so we have to wonder if Blake will be popping the question in the near future.

7 A Friendship Was Born From Their Pain

They were both going through a divorce at the same time and when Gwen finally confessed to him what she was going through, a friendship started between the two of them. "His thing had been going on since January, mine since February. I wasn't trying to start a relationship," Stefani continued. "I was just trying to not die. There was no plan."

6 Blake Shelton Has Never Been Happier

Blake Shelton told Chelsea Handler that he’s never been happier, which must just burn his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert. But some people are just not meant to be together.

Since they are both in the music industry, it was only natural for them to start sharing their music with each other. "It was crazy to be able to also musically know somebody in such a different genre of music. He ended up writing a song that he sent to me, and I wrote back to him on that song, so we actually got to write a song together."

4 She Got A Horse for Her Birthday

How many of us asked for a pony for our birthdays? Well, Gwen actually got one from the man of her dreams!

As Billboard reports Blake saying, "I got her a horse and I got myself a horse at the same time. Gwen, she loves riding and she loves horses. It's actually so funny that people are so shocked by that, but if you can name me one girl on the planet that doesn't love horses or just thinks that they are beautiful."

3 Blake Says She Saved His Life

Now that’s a powerful statement to make. As Billboard reports, Blake said, “Gwen saved my life. Who else on earth could understand going through a high-profile divorce from another musician? You can’t even imagine the similarities in our divorces.”

Gwen obviously feels the same way as during an interview with Ellen, she was asked about wedding plans and she giggled and called Ellen crazy, before promising to let her know the date, Elle reports.

2 Others Know It's Real

That was how it was explained by Adam Levine when he was on being interviewed by Howard Stern, as ET Online reports. Adam stated that Gwen and Blake were “so in love it's [sick].” The Maroon 5 singer and Voice judge added, “It's so funny. They found each other at really interesting times in their lives. It's really beautiful. Because it's in the public eye, a lot of people want to have their own opinions about it, but I'm, like, there. I see it every day. I have a pretty unique perspective on it, and it's real, man."

1 He’s Her Foxiest Man Alive

This year we got to see Blake Shelton featured as the "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2017 by People magazine. We have a feeling that title was partly achieved by him because of his involvement in Gwen’s life. He’s being seen in a completely different light. But he's still humble about the accolade.

As Billboard reports, Gwen told Ellen, “He doesn’t even like to do a photo shoot. You can never convince him to do it. So he just called me like, ‘They want me to do this.’ And I was like, ‘You should totally do it! You’re so sexy!’”
