Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have become quite the duo since first appearing on the hit CW show Supernatural.
For those who do not know much about Supernatural or for those who may not know what it is, Supernatural is a show about two brothers who travel the states solving crimes and murders committed by the supernatural world, while at the same time trying to stop the end of the world from happening.
The show first aired on September 13, 2005 and has been going strong ever since. Now on its 14th season, the show is still doing well and has a huge fan base. It is no surprise how it is has stayed on the air so long. With Jensen as Dean, Jared as Sam, and lets not forget the adorable Misha Collins who plays Castiel, the show never lets its fans down. Fame10 reports that both Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki have been asked many times about their paranormal and superstitious beliefs. Jared said,
“Whenever I drive under a yellow light, I always kiss my finger and tap it on the roof of the car.
And I do that when I get onto a plane as well!”
19 Jensen Was Once A Model
Jensen Ackles has made quite the name for himself since joining the acting business and with a face like his, it's not hard to see why. As reported by Hollywood, Jensen had a popular modelling career that the internet called his "Jenny Thunder" days, which is a throwback to his high-school days when he was a cheerleader and people called him JT.

According to Money Inc, when Jensen was younger, he not only played baseball as a teenager in high school, but also lacrosse. What makes it so amazing is that these two sports require two totally different skill sets to play. He is truly talented to be able to do both.

17 Jared Is Kind Of A Genius
For those Supernatural fans, it is a well-known fact that Sam is pretty smart. He is constantly finding out answers to problems either in books or with his computer.
Well, according to Fame10, Jared Padalecki doesn’t just play a smart role, he is actually extremely smart in real life. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from James Madison High School in 2000. Two years earlier, he won the National Forensics League national championship in Duo Interpretation, and in his senior year he was a Presidential Scholars Program candidate.
After high school he was supposed to attend the University of Texas to major in engineering, but then he decided to take off to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. Just like his co-partner, Jensen Ackles, did.
16 He Is A Big Prankster
For all those who are huge fans of the show Supernatural, one can tell that both Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles love to goof around on set, sometimes even during filming.
According to Fame10, Sam might me the more serious of the brothers in the show, but off camera, Jared is a huge prankster who loves to joke around. The two co-stars have grown so close since starting the show that they are almost like brothers now, which has resulted in a never-ending prank war between them.
15 Before Acting, He Wanted To Study Sports Medicine
Jensen's love for sports goes even deeper than just playing different sports and following his favourite teams. His goal after high school was to attend Texas Tech University where he would study sports medicine to become a physical therapist.
According to Money Inc, he changed his mind and left the state of Texas before heading to Los Angeles with dreams of becoming an actor.
14 He Was On Days Of Our Lives For A While
When Jensen first moved out to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting, he played a number of small television roles including Michael Duss in Wishbone, Brad Rollins in Sweet Valley High, Malcom in Mr. Rhodes and David in Cybill.
Then he finally landed a permanent role as Eric Brady in the soap opera Days of Our Lives, as Money Inc reports. Eric Brady was a child of one of the biggest super-couples on the show and was known for being the most well-behaved out of a set of twins.
Jensen first started on the show in 1997 and continued to play the role of Eric Brady up until the year 2000, where he then decided to leave due to accepting a developmental deal with ABC. His character was then written off the show by making him move away after a heartbreaking break-up.
13 He Prefers To Keep His Personal Life Private
There are a lot of people who know who Jared Padalecki is, but he actually prefers to stay out of the spotlight. He also has anxiety, which, along with his self-consciousness, could contribute to him wanting to be so private. E! News reports that his anxiety has led him to launch a T-shirt campaign called "Always Keep Fighting" to benefit a non-profit organization that helps people who battle with mental health issues such as addiction, suicide and depression.
12 He's Had Some Personal Struggles
According to Fame10, the Supernatural star revealed to Variety that he battles with depression, saying “I, for a long time, have been passionate about people dealing with mental illness and struggling with depression, or addiction, or having [certain] thoughts.
I, in the past, have had my own struggles of not being so happy with where I am in life,
which is strange and I think it goes to show, maybe a lot of people don’t know this, but [in] season three of Supernatural, we were shooting an episode, and I went back to my trailer to get changed and just kind of broke down.”
He adds, “A doctor came to set and talked to me for about 30 minutes or 45 minutes and said, ‘Jared, I think you’re clinically depressed. I think I should write you a note and we can shut down production for five days and then we can take it from there.”
11 He Won Awards For His Soap Opera Role
When Jensen Ackles first started on Days of Our Lives, it was his first serious and regular role.
He played it so well that he received quite a lot of positive attention for it, which helped him to pursue bigger and more successful adventures later on down the line.
According to Money Inc, Jensen won many awards for his role as Eric Brady, such as Soap Opera Digest Award for Best Male Newcomer in 1998. He was also nominated three times for a Daytime Emmy Award For Outstanding Younger Actor In A Drama Series, the site explains.
10 He Tried His Luck At The Role Of Superman
For the fans of the TV show Smallville, it is hard to picture anyone playing the part of young Clark Kent other than Tom Welling. He just fit the role so well. Not only did he look like a young Clark Kent, but he was good looking and a great actor.
Jensen Ackles originally auditioned for the role of Clark Kent, as Money Inc reports. He was turned down. Although he did not get the role of Superman in his younger days, he did get the role of Jason Teague in Smallville. This character was an antagonist to the great Clark Kent and also Lana Lang’s love interest.
9 He Played Two Different Roles On Dark Angel
Around the same time Jensen Ackles auditioned for the role of Clark Kent on the hit TV show Smallville, he also auditioned for a role on James Cameron’s Dark Angel, a show about a generally-engineered super-soldier on the run from government authorities in a post-apocalyptic world.
According to Money Inc, Jensen played one of the genetically-engineered super-soldiers who escaped the same facility at the same time as the lead character, played by Jessica Alba. Later on in the show he received a second role, the role of his previous character's clone, just a lot nicer and more stable then his predecessor. He continued the role until the show's cancelation in 2002.
8 He Once Did A Movie With His Father
When it comes to movies, Jensen Ackles has only done a few in his career. He was in the 2005 movie called Devour, in which he also starred with his father.
If you haven't heard much about it, that's probably because the movie didn't get much attention and wasn't very successful at the box office.

According to Money Inc, back in 2010 Jensen was selected to play the role of Jason Todd in the animated film Batman: Under the Red Hood. Jason was a character who started off in the movie as Robin, but later became the antihero Red Hood after going missing in action due to an encounter with the Joker.

Jared Padalecki might not have had plans to become an actor, but he was interested in acting from the young age of 12. At the age of 19, he won Fox Broadcasting’s 1999 “Claim to Fame” contest, as Fame10 reports. He won a free trip to the Teen Choice Awards. There, an agent told him he'd better go into modelling or acting. And the rest is history!

According to Fame10, Jared’s acting career has been really short (so far). He has a total of 19 acting credits and there aren’t many fans who haven’t seen his face or don’t know who he is. Along with his five-year role as Dean Forester on Gilmore Girls and his 13 years on Supernatural, he has also had roles on the show ER, and in films such as Cheaper by the Dozen. It's those long-term roles that have really made him a household name, though.

According to Fame10, Jared measures in at 6'4'', which is above average for most men, but when it comes to Hollywood and acting, he is well above average!
