At the age of 56, he is currently the father of three kids: Isabella Jane, who was born in 1992 and adopted by Tom and then-wife Nicole Kidman during their marriage, Connor Antony, who was born in 1995 and adopted by Tom and Nicole two years after Isabella, and Suri Cruise, born to Tom and ex-wife Katie Holmes in 2006.

20 Their Moms Have Something In Common
Suri Cruise and Isabella and Connor Cruise might have different moms, but they do have a few things in common! Firstly, Katie Holmes (Suri’s mother) and Nicole Kidman (Isabella and Connor’s mother) were both married to Tom Cruise for a while. For a time, they both belonged to Tom’s church. They are also both actresses.
But the strangest similarity between these two women that eagle-eyed fans have noticed is that they were both 33 years old when Tom Cruise split from them. Even stranger is that Tom Cruise was also married before Nicole and Katie, to another actress called Mimi Rogers. And guess how old she was when he called it quits? Yep. 33.
19 Suri Loves Dancing And Gymnastics
Suri is arguably the most famous of Tom Cruise’s children since Tom and Katie were one of the most talked-about couples of the 2000s. Even though she’s incredibly well known, we still don’t know every detail of her life. What we do know though, courtesy of BabyGaga, is that she loves dancing and gymnastics.
She is often seen going to and from gymnastics and dance classes in her uniform and also attended classes when Tom and Katie were together. It’s also been reported that Suri loves to watch others dance, too, and she loves going to Broadway shows with her mom.
18 Isabella And Connor Didn’t Call Nicole Kidman Mom
Nicole Kidman is legally Isabella and Connor’s mother since she and Tom Cruise adopted them during their marriage. But when they decided to end their relationship in 2001, it seemed that Nicole went through a bit of a rough patch with her two kids in the following few years.
“My kids don’t call me ‘mommy,’” the actress told GMTV in 2007. “They don’t even call me ‘mom’. They call me ‘Nicole’ which I [don't like] and tell them off for it.” Things may have changed between Nicole and Isabella and Connor since 2007, but at least for a while there, they weren’t calling her mom.
17 Suri Was Born In Silence
It’s sort of out in the open that Tom Cruise is very loyal to his beliefs and closely follows the traditions that come with the organization he’s attached to. Screen Rant reported that it’s common practice in the organization for babies to be born in total silence, and this is said to have been how Suri came into the world.
This practice stems from the belief that keeping the birth of a child as quiet as possible helps to transition the child into the physical world more smoothly and lessens the baby’s level of pain and separation from the mother.
16 Suri Is Encouraged To Enjoy Her Childhood
She’s one of the most famous celebrity teenagers on the planet, but Suri is being encouraged to have a normal life and enjoy what’s left of her childhood by her mom. According to BabyGaga, Katie Holmes wants to keep Suri from being bombarded by fame and enjoy a normal, healthy upbringing instead.
“I try to make our world very much an environment that’s just all about being a kid without too much of Hollywood coming into that,” the actress explained (via BabyGaga). “And I just enjoy it. Honestly, I think that there are so many books and opinions about how to be a great mom, and you have good days and bad days, and sometimes you do great and sometimes you could have done better.”
15 Connor Lives In Florida
Tom is rarely photographed with his kids, but we do know that Connor lives in a place that is significant for his dad: Clearwater, Florida. News Au reported that Connor moved into an “elite compound” in Clearwater in August 2018. Tom owns a penthouse nearby Connor’s new building, which is referred to as The Sandcastle.
This makes it pretty easy for Tom and Connor to hang out more frequently than they would if they were living in different parts of the country. According to W Magazine, Tom has since sold his former mansion in Los Angeles and moved to Clearwater permanently.
14 Suri Doesn’t Share Tom’s Beliefs
Though both her parents were part of the same church and shared the same beliefs when she was born, Suri doesn’t share in those same beliefs today. It’s worth noting that Katie Holmes no longer shares her ex-husband’s faith and is raising Suri with her own beliefs rather than those passed on by the organization which Tom is part of.
According to Moms, former member of the organization and friend of the family Leah Remini revealed that Katie would apparently be taking a risk by even discussing Tom’s beliefs in public or by being friends with Leah. Sounds pretty intense!
13 But Isabella And Connor Do
Suri may not be part of Tom’s church and share his beliefs, but Isabella and Connor were certainly raised in the organization. Moms divulged that Connor’s residence in Clearwater shows how much he aligns with his father’s beliefs, and even though Isabella lives in London, she is still a member of the organization.
Nicole Kidman is reluctant to discuss her kids too extensively in public but has been said to worry that Connor is being groomed to play a significant role in the organization, according to Smooth (via Moms). It will be interesting to see what path Suri takes when she’s old enough to make these choices for herself!
12 Isabella’s Biological Mom Shared Her Beliefs
Though little is known about the biological families of Isabella Cruise and Connor Cruise, it has been reported by online sources that Isabella’s birth mother shared in Tom’s beliefs. She actually learned about them through the same organization as Tom, so of course, we have questions!
After Isabella was adopted by Tom and Nicole, she struggled to adjust to her new life and was understandably prone to bouts of anxiety and depression for a while. When her parents separated, she was just nine years old, and this seemed to trigger further emotional issues for her. We hope that Isabella is doing better today!
11 All The Kids Were Homeschooled At Some Stage
One similarity between Suri, Isabella, and Connor is that, at one point or another, all three of them were homeschooled. When Isabella and Connor were growing up, they were educated by Tom’s sister in a home-schooling environment. As a young child, Suri was also homeschooled, but now that she is being raised by Katie alone, she apparently attends a pricey private school in New York City.

10 Isabella Had An Intimate London Wedding
It’s hard to believe that Isabella Cruise is now all grown up! In 2015, she married her boyfriend, I.T. worker Max Parker, in a small ceremony in London. The event was quite low-key and followed many traditions of the church.
Online sources were quick to note that although Isabella looked like she had a blast on her big day (from the photos that emerged), no members of her immediate family were present. Tom is said to remain in contact with all his kids. Though he hasn’t been photographed with Suri for a long time, it has been reported that he still keeps in touch by sending her gifts. Compared to other kids, Suri seems to have had a unique childhood. Although Katie strives to make her life as normal as possible, there are some rules commonly enforced on children that Suri hasn’t had to follow. For example, it’s been reported that Suri held onto her baby bottle until she was over five years old. Some sources claim that she has never had a bedtime.

Following Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman’s divorce, Isabella and Connor became closer with their father as they lived with him full time and spent more time around his church. You have access to some pretty impressive material goods. By 2008, the two-year-old Suri was reportedly worth $3.2 million and had $150,000 worth of shoes to her name. She was also labeled Hollywood’s Hottest Tot by Forbes and received more blog mentions than any other child in Hollywood.
“Suri has so many designer shoes,” an inside source said to Star in 2011. “She’s a massive fan of Marc Jacobs and she’s had several shoes custom-made, so if they don’t come with a heel, Katie had them redesigned for Suri. She commissioned a pair of Louboutins for her a while back.”
3 Connor Might Be A Movie Star One Day
Connor has been known to dabble in DJing, but his path might take him to Hollywood in the years to come. He’s already appeared in two major movies: Red Dawn in 2012 and Seven Pounds in 2008. There’s no evidence to suggest he is planning on trying to become a movie star, or doing any more acting, and he seems to be more into outdoors activities like deep-sea fishing for now.

2 Tom Hasn’t Been Seen With Suri For A Long Time
Tom’s relationship with daughter Suri has garnered a lot of media attention since his 2012 split from Katie Holmes. Following the divorce, Katie became the sole custodian of Suri, and several online sources claim that Tom is allowed to see Suri for 10 days a month. Father and daughter haven’t been photographed together since 2013, though, leading many publications to claim that Tom “abandoned” his daughter due to her mother leaving the organization after their divorce.
But Tom slammed rumors that he’s abandoned her as defamation. In March 2019, Suri was seen leaving her NYC apartment with luggage, and New Idea reported that she was in the process of reaching out to her dad.
1 Isabella Once Worked For Katie Holmes
During Tom and Katie’s marriage, Isabella and Connor became quite close with their step-mom. It was reported that Isabella not only called Katie mom but loved her little sister Suri as well. For a while, Isabella even worked for Katie on her clothing line Holmes and Yang.
When Isabella was 19, though, Katie is said to have let her go from the business. Soon after, the divorce process between Katie and Tom began. Isabella and Katie haven’t been photographed together in a number of years either, and it’s not clear as to whether they still maintain a relationship or not.
