A leopard print skirt that costs $180 has made style-conscious Instagrammers drool with desire.

But eager fashionistas must now hold out until mid-July when Australia-based brand Realisation Par will restock The Naomi skirt for yet another time. Hopefully this next restock will help many to avoid a fashion crisis.

Right now, as Realisation Par’s website confirms, the item is out of stock.

Before landing on eBay’s bidding wars (selling for more than its price, for those wondering), the 100% silk midi skirt was popping up everywhere on Instagram. Several influencers donned the piece, skyrocketing its popularity. Despite almost every fashion brand this year offering some kind of similar animal-print skirt, it seems that this one ticked all the right boxes.

It showed up on Instagram in perfect synchronicity, exactly at the moment when fashion’s alternate universe was craving something that looked exactly like THAT.

Described by Harper’s Bazaar as a "statement piece," as well as one of the easiest skirt styles to wear, The Naomi is versatile and comfy, yet chic and edgy. Styled with a simple black or white top, it’s the ultimate must-have item for the summer. It can be literally worn the whole day, and be recycled during other seasons too. It seems that Realisation Par has hit the nail in the head with this one, so it’s no wonder it sells out like hot pretzels every time it restocks.

But as stated above, the skirt has been also seen on all the right people. Instagram star Lucy Williams and Man Repeller’s fashion blogger Leandra Medine have collected thousands of likes wearing The Naomi, with the latter dubbing it “the most popular skirt on Instagram”.

On her personal blog, Medine confessed how she struggled with second-thoughts before buying the skirt, as too many people were wearing it on Instagram (She nevertheless went on and purchased it).

If you’re one of those people whose idea of finding cool things to wear doesn’t involve scrolling down Instagram, you might not get the hype. But with an army of hard-working fashion bloggers sharing their latest finds on social media, there’s no better place to glean new trends and brands.

Is The Naomi worth the long wait and money? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
