"Well, maybe I don't need your money. Wait! I said maybe." It's quotes like these that wound up forming Vogue's "Rachel Green's Guide To Life." If Friends tops your best TV shows ever, we're officially saying it: You've got good taste.

1994 marked the year that Rachel Green started influencing, well, just about everything. "The Rachel Cut" was the overnight explosion that had every girl walking out of salons with choppy, layered hair. 20 years later, we still want this woman's style.

It's like the producers picked the best actress ever. Jennifer Aniston had the American sweetheart looks, the million-dollar smile and the biggest asset there is– being funny.

"It’s a trifle. It’s got all of these layers. First, there’s a layer of ladyfingers, then a layer of jam, then custard, WHICH I made from scratch. Then raspberries, more ladyfingers, then beef sautéed with peas and onions..." You know the rest.

The more Jennifer Aniston threw us Rachel Green, the less we could tell them apart.

"It's been a frustrating thing," Jen told The Hollywood Reporter about being typecast. If you see this girl's face and immediately think of Rachel, you're doing it, too. It's the sign of a good actress.

Turns out, Rachel and Jen have way more in common than we thought. Here are 16 things about these two that make them the same person, plus four that set them apart.

20 "I Was A Terrible Waitress," #HelloSimilarities

If anything sums up Rachel Green's waitressing abilities, it's "seriously, still waiting on that coffee." To put things into perspective, if Joey is doing a better job, your skills come with the biggest #Questionable ever. Quite possibly the worst Central Perk employee ever, Rachel's days serving coffee were well-documented in early seasons. Turns out, Jen herself has personal experience.

"I waited a lot of tables, and I wasn't very good at that. I dropped more than one Alpine burger in customers' laps,"

Jen told Marie Claire, as Rare Delights reports. She added: "You just do not want all of that Swiss cheese and mushrooms in your pants. I wasn't a good waitress." Similarities, we be vibing.

19 Not The Best Driver, Either

Shopping? An expert. Driving? Not so much. Rachel didn't spend a huge amount of time behind the wheel on Friends. On the few occasions she did, it did not go well. While Ross got pulled over for driving too slowly, Rachel did the opposite (plus her license was expired).

"Is she a bad driver?" Scoop Nest asked as it covered Jen's Good Morning America interview with Dolly Parton.

While Jen said: "I think I'm a fabulous driver," Dolly recalled Matthew Perry calling her "the worst driver in the history of drivers." Hearsay it may be, but we're spotting a pattern.

18 Founder Of The "I Hate Rachel Green Club," Those Brad Pitt Issues

Brad Pitt's guest appearance on Friends remains one of the most epic ever. Will "from high school" finds himself at Monica's Thanksgiving dinner, and it doesn't take long before we learn exactly what Will thinks of Rachel.

As co-founder of the "I Hate Rachel Club" with Ross, Will despised everything about Rachel– enough for him to break his no-carb diet. IRL? It was the biggest breakup ever.

Jen was still married to Brad Pitt when the episode aired. If you don't know that Jen's 2000 marriage to Brad ended with a #AngelinaJolie, you're living under a rock. Rach had beef with Will, and Jen (presumably) had some beef with Brad. You add up the dots...

17 Besties With This Girl, Though

"It's the end of an era!" Watching Monica break down over Rachel moving out basically made us cry with her– if these two don't symbolize the biggest besties ever, we don't know what does. The catfights between Rachel and Monica might have been epic, but the friendship was beyond #Goals. It's there IRL, too.

"She’s extremely fair, ridiculously loyal and fiercely loving," Jen told More in 2014 about  Courteney Cox. Consider that just one of the quotes that allowed People to chronicle the friendship between these two in an entire gallery.

To this day, Jennifer and Courteney remain close. "Jennifer has been amazing, for sure," the magazine quotes Court saying.

16 NOT LIKE RACHEL: Like Rachel Would Ever Run Like This

Rachel ran– like, twice. If you know the show inside out, you'll remember Rachel and Phoebe running together in Central Park. Phoebe's awkward running mortified Rachel, Rach herself ran into a horse and that was the last we saw of it.

"I feel really beautiful when I finish a great workout,"

Jen told People. While the paparazzi would snap Jen running back in the day, more recent interviews have shown us that Jen is a giant yogi. Jen was still knocking out Friends one-liners when this pic was taken. Rachel making this a daily ritual? Not a chance. Shopping was the most this girl did.

15 How We Feel About Jennifer Aniston's Relationships Overall

Literally, stumped. In 2018, In Style had to remind us that "Jennifer Aniston is doing just fine." With her second marriage to Justin Theroux ended, Jen now comes with a #Single (while we wonder how it all went wrong).

2005 was the year that a certain Angelina Jolie swooped into Brad Pitt's life– the problem being that Brad was kind of still married to Jen.

Jen dated here and there. Vince Vaughn, John Mayer and Paul Rudd are just some of the exes listed by Glamour, but we're seeing a pattern. Ross and Rachel struggled. Jen's love life is like a mirror (with a sadder ending).

14 "I'm Sorry, Did My Back Hurt Your Knife?" Jen's #BeenThere

In 2017, Celebrity Insider reported Angelina Jolie as "frustrated" that Jen and Brad Pitt were reportedly "reconnecting" by text. With the hindsight we now have, that makes sense following the collapse of Brangelina.

"I'm sorry, did my back hurt your knife?" Rachel didn't half know how to dish out the sarcasm. It's when you look at Jen's love life though, that it all starts to add up.

As the world claimed Angelina Jolie stole Brad from Jennifer, Jen stayed relatively quiet. It's called being cautious. We couldn't help but notice the timeline of Ange's arrival. The quote kind of seems applicable, come to think of it.

13 "Greens DO NOT QUIT!" #KeepsGoing

She's like The Little Engine That Could. While other actresses fear their 50s and the dreaded Hollywood shelf life, Jen continues to defy her age, her barriers and she's just as relevant at 49 as she was at 29.

Since Friends, Jen has starred in Horrible Bosses and Evan Almighty, alongside being the face of Smartwater, Aveeno and Emirates Airlines. FYI, beauty companies don't just pick celeb faces randomly.

Rachel might have been the type to crumble over losing her favourite sweater, but this girl had gas in the tank. She fought her way up from waitress to Ralph Lauren executive, and we're seeing the same determination from Jen.

12 "PIVOT!"

Okay, we'll be honest. We came across this pic by accident. The minute we saw it, Ross's "PIVOT! PIVOT PIVOOOOOTTT!" came into our heads, and we just had to share it.

The awkward but hilarious "Pivot" moment as Ross, Chandler and Rachel attempted to navigate that couch up the staircase might well be the funniest Friends scene ever.

Jen was filming a movie here. No, she isn't carrying a couch. Come on, though. If you know the "pivot" scene, you'll 100% know what we're on about. This one gets slapped with a #Twin.

11 When We Realize Brad Pitt Serenaded Jen To Propose

Ross's musical abilities were well documented on Friends. There was that "band" he claimed to be in. There was also "the sound" he managed to showcase on the keyboard. They don't come close to the total catastrophe that was Ross and the bagpipes.

"We’re going to Vegas, we’re gonna get wed/ So fill her up, son, don’t be staring/ Yeah, that’s a real diamond she be wearing.” Brad managed to serenade Jen without bagpipes.

As Marie Claire reports, Brad did serenade Jen as he proposed. Ross? Well, he tried. Ultimately though, the pattern is there. Both guys wanted to get with the girl, both gave music a shot and both got married.

10 Justin Theroux Is Younger Than Jen... What?

Rachel didn't date on a Joey level, but this girl got around. Ross might have been the #OnOff boyfriend (and husband) that Rach was meant to be with, but the in-between guys included everyone from Bruce Willis's character to Rach's much younger co-worker, Tag.

For reference, remember that super-awkward moment when Rachel is upset about turning 30 and Tag tries to commiserate by recalling turning 25.

Jennifer Aniston herself is older than her ex-husband, Justin Theroux. Jen is currently 49, while Justin is 47. Not quite the Tag age gap, but the pattern is the same.

9 NOT LIKE RACHEL: Sadly, No Baby From Jen

When Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston tied the knot, we expected one thing: the world's most beautiful babies. To be fair, we kind of got it from Angelina Jolie, but Jen herself remains childless. Jen told W Magazine:

"We live in a society that messages women: By this age, you should be married; by this age, you should have children...That's a fairy tale. That's the mold we're slowly trying to break out of." Jen is fine without kids.

Ross and Rachel's baby wasn't exactly planned, but have a baby they did. Emma formed a core member of later episodes on Friends. With Jen approaching 50, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing this girl pushing a stroller.

8 NOT LIKE RACHEL: Rachel: "Girls Tend Not To Like Me." Tell That To Selena Gomez

Rachel could be catty, there's no doubt about that. "That's okay, girls tend not to like me," was Rachel's response after discovering that Ross's girlfriend, Charlie wasn't too keen on her. Ironically, Jen herself is loved by millions of girls across the globe (including a very famous one).

"I ran into Jennifer in the bathroom and she goes, 'Hi!' My legs started to shake and I ran. I didn't know what to do because I freaked out."

Just Jared reported Selena admitting this. The two are now great friends. Girls weren't so keen on Rachel, but Jen is a veritable idol to Selena.

7 But Don't Tell Phoebe That Jen Dated Paul Rudd

Funny how many Friends guest stars turned into mega-stars. Paul Rudd might be Ant-Man now, but back in the 2000s, he came as one piano-playing boyfriend (and eventual husband) to Phoebe. Mike was one good egg.

Depending on how well you know Jen's relationship history, you might remember that she did date Paul Rudd. As The Mirror reports, these two had a full-blown romance back in 1998.

While Rudd was Phoebe's man on Friends, he was Jen's in the real world. Jen and Paul later co-starred in Wanderlust. Interestingly, Jennifer Aniston has dated other Friends co-stars, including Tate Donovan (Joshua).

6  Admitted She Isn't The Best Cook, #ThatTrifle

Rachel's total and utter shambles in the kitchen were made pretty clear during the trifle episode. The "layer of ladyfingers, then a layer of jam, then custard, WHICH I made from scratch" that joined "raspberries, more ladyfingers, then beef sautéed with peas and onions" was summed up by Ross.

Ross: "It tastes like feet!" Jen's cooking skills were called "even worse than Rachel's" by Comedy Central.

"I would love to really learn how to cook and prepare beautiful meals, I just don't have the time", Jen said as Mag The Weekly reports. That's one kitchen-useless Rachel, plus one actress who has admitted she doesn't cook.

5 Dated "Joshua" IRL

Signing up to work at Bloomingdale's wasn't all it was cracked up to be– Rachel found out the hard way. While detangling hangers in a closet wasn't one of the job's perks, being a personal shopper to Joshua (played by Tate Donovan) was.

Joshua (whom the other friends learned Rachel didn't "like" being called Josh) didn't date Rachel for long, but time doesn't factor into this similarity. We're too busy noticing that Jen dated Tate Donovan IRL.

As Cosmopolitan reports, Jen and Tate were a couple. It turns awkward when you find out that they broke up before the "Rach and Joshua" relationship was through. Yes, this couple filmed a romance while already being exes.

4 NOT LIKE RACHEL: Hated The "Rachel Cut" (But Both Became Hair Icons)

If anything defined '90s hair, it was The Rachel Cut. From someone who requested this style as a teenager, you've got it on good authority– every girl wanted this layered look. While Jen herself has admitted to Glamour that she hated it, both wound up being the biggest hair icons ever.

"I was not a fan of 'The Rachel. That was kind of cringe-y for me." Kinda hurts, reading that.

Jen went onto be the face of L'Oréal. To this day, Jen is known for her glossy locks, perfect hairdos, and yes, she's right up there with Rachel as a hair icon.

3 Jen Is Actually Pretty Emotional

"Hey! You hold on pal! Now you made my friend, Rachel cry." That'll be Joey to the superintendent, Mr. Treeger. An #IndependentWoman who cut up her daddy's credit cards Rachel might have become, but she never let go of being super-emotional.

"Am I lonely? Yes. Am I upset? Yes. Am I confused? Yes. Do I have my days when I’ve thrown a little pity party for myself? Absolutely. But I’m also doing really well,”

Jen told Vanity Fair in 2005 as she opened up about the split from Brad Pitt. That's one, super-emotional Rachel (and one matching Jennifer Aniston).

2 Dads Who Put Their Daughters Down, #CommonGround

If you've watched Friends, you'll know that Rachel was massively intimidated by her dad. Dr. Green didn't have the time of day to make friendly small talk with his daughter. In fact, he spent most of his time yelling at her. There's a similarity.

"My father told me I had nothing to say,” Jen told Rolling Stone in 1996. “He made me leave the table.”

Speaking about how fame affected her, Jen clearly referenced her childhood as she said: "I mean, you think you’re just the most uninteresting person in the world, and then all this happens, and you have to wonder, ‘Is any of it real?"

Both girls had it tough with their dads.

1 This Girl Will Always Have Us On The Edge Of Our Seats

The whole point of Friends was wondering what would come next. Like that cliffhanger moment when Ross walks into either Rachel or Bonnie's room at the beach house. We tuned in for Ross's failed marriages, Chandler and Monica's love, and Rachel was right up there with them.

Much like the suspense Rachel threw us, Jennifer always has us wondering what's next. Put it this way, the Brad Pitt divorce was nearly 15 years ago. The newspapers are still wondering if they'll get back together.

Jennifer Aniston may turn 50 in 2019, but we're still on the edge of our seats with this girl. If you love her as much as we do, you probably are, too.
