Is it me or has 2017 been filled with heartbreaks? First, we hear about some awesome possible couples, and we’re taken on a rollercoaster ride through their relationships. The thing about celebrity couples is that they’re always in the spotlight, so we can’t help but feeling more involved than maybe we should be entitled to. Frankly, we’re not entitled to any of it, but it’s hard to remember that.
Anyway, Hollywood bringeth and taketh away some of our most precious couples; Brad and Angelina are over, Jennifer Hudson filed a restraining order against David Otunga, and Jeannie Mai filed for divorce from Freddy Harteis. Is there such thing as love? We look to our favorite celebs because of their dreamy lifestyles, but the dating scene in Hollywood is like a violent scene out of Game of Thrones. There are some many starts and finishes, and we’re left filling in all of the blanks with our imaginations.

Can anyone tell me how many times Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have broken up? They were so on and off that they made Ted and Robin on How I Met Your Mother look like amateurs. For years they have been hot and cold, even Taylor Swift was known for disapproving her best friend’s odd fixation with the falling pop star. But lately, Justin has attempted to humble himself and cut back on his bratty antics.
We learned Selena and the Weeknd broke up when pictures of her cozying up with Justin Bieber surfaced. Neither of them has commented on their reunion, but they’ve been photographed together kissing and hugging. I’m on Taylor Swift’s side on this: stop turning back Selena. We were perfectly happy when the two were apart.

Lately Kylie Jenner has been in all of the tabloids because a little secret came out: she’s pregnant. Or is she? We have no idea, because no one in her family will succumb to the constant crusade of questions. It’s is rumored that Kylie and big sister Khloe are both just months apart in pregnancies. And we are scrolling through their latest Snapchats for just a glimpse of a bump from either sister.
So far we’ve got nothing, but time tells all. She has been with her current boyfriend, rapper Travis Scott. We get it, he’s a hot rapper right now. But what on earth could they possibly have in common? Maybe it’s their love of courtside sports seats. But these two have only ever been pictured together a few times, and they don’t even look like they’re having a good time together.

Of course, Nick Jonas dates a Victoria’s Secret supermodel. Apparently, Victoria’s Secret angels make for perfect muses to their musician counterparts. However, ever since his public breakup with ex and former Miss USA, Olivia Culpo, Nick is just looking to have fun right now. And why not, he’s only 25. We forget that the Jonas brothers started their careers when they were quite young.
Georgia is only 25 as well, so we’re hoping that she’s just looking for a fun time as well. Otherwise, she may be in for some real heartbreak. This couple is hot, but of course, this seems to be solely a surface connection. But for something ‘not so serious’, it’s strange that Nick has wasted no time introducing Georgia to his friends and family. Either way, I’m not sure this bond seems lasting.

Okay, so we were very excited when we heard that Paparazzi had run into Drake and Bella Hadid on a date in Hollywood. It was pretty weird, I mean, who would have ever put these two together let alone guess that they could possibly be a couple. Never in a million years would I have thought this. But rumors are already leaning toward this secret couple splitting.
Now that we know that Selena Gomez and the Weeknd split just weeks ago, Selena has quickly moved on—er, back, I guess—with Justin Bieber. Rumor has it that the Weeknd has turned to his ex Bella to make him feel better, but at what cost? Of course there’s history there, so all signs point to Bella possibly getting back with the Weeknd.
12 Sofia Richie and Scott Disick: What On Earth is Even Going on Here?!
Did anyone else think that Sofia Richie and Scott Disick’s new relationship was a poorly timed April Fools joke? Well, apparently it is very real, and we’re all left scratching our heads at this one. Dad of 3, Scott, is 34, while Sophia can’t even legally drink—she’s only 19 years old. How could this relationship ever possibly work? I’m seeing this as Sophia rebelling like a normal teen, and Scott rebelling against his ex and mother of his children, Kourtney Kardashian, for also moving on with a hot, young stud.
This relationship is as confusing as it is cringe worthy. The two have no problem with PDA wherever they go, but this is a relationship that no one approves of. Neither of them has commented on their relationship, or if Sophia is ready to be a stepmom to three young children.
11 Kourtney Kardashian and Younes Bendjima: It's All Surface
First of all, Kourtney has three children and lives in California; Younes lives in France. I don’t see these two getting together all that often unless someone changes their location. This is a long distance fun relationship that seems like it’s all about appearances. On one hand, high five, Kourtney! But on the other, this doesn’t seem like a relationship built to last. It’s as if she got tired of Scott humiliating her in the tabloids and decided to have some fun of her own.
The two have been photographed getting cozy on the beach, but they are always alone, and it doesn’t seem like Younes will be meeting her kids anytime soon. They do look nice together, but I’d love to be a fly on the wall in their conversations to count how many awkward silences occur.
10 Bella Thorne and Tana Mongeau: It Doesn't Seem Genuine
Bella Thorne recently did a music video with Tana Mongeau, a “friend” that’s she’s been spotted casually making out with and getting all cuddly at clubs. Tana posted images of the two of them kissing, and referred to Bella as ‘bae’ to everyone. Neither has confirmed any of the rumors, but they’ve both been posting racy pictures of each other on their social media accounts.
This really just seems like a cry for attention for Bella, who is known to use her social media to post racy images of herself. Frankly, she’s not a great role model, and it’s unfortunate because though she didn’t set out to be one she got her start on Disney with young audiences. This rumored romance seems to be just for the cameras and smells totally fake.
9 Anna Faris and Michael Barrett: He's a Rebound
Just this summer, in August, Anna Farris announced that she was splitting from Chris Pine. This was truly heartbreaking. They were a couple made in comedy heaven. Two months later it was reported that Anna had started dating cinematographer, Michael Barrett. Neither has commented directly to any reports, but they are spotted out together a lot, and have no problem sowing affection to one another in front of the cameras.
However, we are calling quits on this for her. Rumors swirled a couple of years ago about Anna possibly leaving Chris, but she admitted that she was just jealous from all the female attention he was getting after bulking up for his roll for Guardians of the Galaxy. The couple share a son, and seem to truly be in love so I think they could get back together.C
8 Demi Lovato and Ryan Phillippe: Have They Even Been Spotted Together in Public Yet?
Demi Lovato has been romantically linked to a few gentlemen this year, but with little to no evidence. A couple of months ago rumors surfaced that she could possibly be dating Hollywood hunk Ryan Phillippe. Thought the two have yet to be seen together, paparazzi apparently captured images of Phillippe leaving Demi’s home at 5 am.
This apparently happened on Halloween night, when Demi was dressed as a sexy doppelganger for deceased music artist, Selena Quintanilla. Pictures don’t lie, but the two haven’t been spotted out in public together since. Their entire relationship is pretty much based on rumors since paparazzi haven’t been able to place either of the two together in the same area. I’m thinking these two just decided to stay friends. Actually, were they even friends?

Lady Gaga was very open and public about her relationship with ex-fiancé Taylor Kinney. They were incredible together! Just two little weirdos being cute and romantic, against the world. And our hearts shattered when they broke up. Though Taylor randomly popped up to some of her concerts after their breakup, they were never spotted out together.
And then news broke that Lady Gaga had been engaged…for months! To her rebound beau, Christiano Carino. That’s right, apparently, they had been engaged four almost three months before we caught her wearing a ring. Christiano is a Hollywood agent, and we just can’t wrap our minds around the fact that they’re even together. Mostly because we love her with Taylor! They were so charming and adorable together. Seeing her with Christiano is like seeing her with a stranger.
6 Ben Affleck and Lindsay Shookus: He's Been Hung Up on His Ex for Years
When everyone began reporting on Ben Affleck openly dating Lindsay Shookus most of us just wondered aloud, who on earth is Lindsay Shookus. Well, you probably wouldn’t know her, considering she spends her time behind the cameras. Lindsay is a producer for Saturday Night Live. Anyway, it was reported that the two had been dating on and off since 2015…and we just heard about it!
It really doesn’t make sense considering that all signs before they announced their relationship were pointing to Ben begging for Jen back. Ben and Jen were such a great couple while it lasted. Plus, Lindsay and Ben began their relationship as affairs. That can’t be good for this relationship karma-wise. Relationships that start as affairs hardly ever last, so I guess time will tell with this one.

Avril Lavigne, our former favorite punk princess, is only 33 years old and has two failed marriages under her wing. She’s on the same boat as Ross on Friends…one more to go! But hopefully not. Recently Avril has been spotted club hopping with her latest love interest, producer J.R. Rotem. However, no one is really taking this relationship very seriously.
Avril has publicly been involved in one serious relationship after another, barely taking a pause between them. She is a serial monogamist, and this has gotten her into trouble before, hence her two divorces. Everyone knows that after any kind of serious breakup it is best to take time to yourself and learn how to be on your own. I don’t think that Avril got this memo.
4 Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn: Nothing Good Ever Lasts
Taylor Swift has been the but of romantic jokes since her first hit single, Tear Drops on My Guitar. She had us wondering who Drew was, and when we learned she didn’t hold back on naming her ex’s and previous crushes in her songs, we knew she was a force to be reckoned with. All of her relationships have been super public, and yet none of them have lasted. Has she been able to hold a guy down for over a year yet? Perhaps it’s because they’re scared of her incredible success.
Either way, we don’t see her current relationship with actor Joe Alwyn, whose name I wasn’t aware of until this actual article, lasting much longer. It seems that Taylor Swift needs a strong man who isn’t afraid of the public eye to help hold her down.
3 Dev Patel and Tilda Cobham-Hervey: Not Giving Up On Freida Pinto!
It seems that Dev Patel and Tilda Cobham-Hervey met on the set of their movie Hotel Mumbai, which hasn’t even come out to theatres yet. It seems that movie sets make for the best foundation for romantic relationships for actors. I couldn’t imagine working with my beau on screen, but Dev and Tilda have managed to nail it.
No offense to Tilda, I’m sure she’s wonderful. But where is Freida Pinto?! Okay, so the two of them broke up a couple of years ago, but you have to admit that they were just absolutely, hands down, adorable together. Is it wrong for me to still hang on some kind of hope that the previous years that they spent together mean enough for them to possible reunite?

Back in May, it was revealed that Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix were a thing when they attended award shows in Cannes together and seemed pretty cozy. But neither them or their PR teams every responded to the intrusive press questions. It wasn’t until May of 2017 that they confirmed the rumors that had been circling since January.

For a couple that has lasted so long in secret, you can’t help but wonder if they’re ready to face the world together under the chaotic scrutiny of the public eye. A star of the show, Sheana Shay, has made quite a name for herself with her romantic storyline. It turns out that she was with her current man, Robert Parks-Valletta, on and off right before marrying her now ex-husband, Michael Shay.
She shocked us all when right after announcing the split she was already publicly dating Valletta. She said that “for ten years this is all I wanted”, meaning even when she was married to shay she wanted to be with Valletta? Co-stars complain that poor Scheana isn’t looking for another boyfriends or partner, just another husband which seems to be hitting the nail on the head here.
