Most high schools hold onto the tradition of hosting a prom every year, but this popular event has changed a lot over time. The only thing that has always remained the same is everyone's expectations. We all want our prom to be one of the most memorable events of our lives, right? Aside from graduation, it is one of the most anticipated events in a high school student’s life.
Everyone in school comes together to have a great time and make some high school memories they’ll never forget before heading off to college and turning into full-time adults. But it’s hard to imagine that the rich and famous experience the same fears and elations over prom that we did growing up. Well, celebs are just like us, and they also enjoyed partying, dancing and asking someone to the prom once upon a time.
So, no matter how many award shows they’ve attended, they’ll always remember the biggest event in their lives: prom! But most of us would be surprised to learn that the celebrities on this list actually went to prom with other celebs. A few of them even found their happily ever after. Others simply moved on and never looked back.
16 Kim Kardashian Went To Prom With None Other Than Michael Jackson's Nephew, TJ (Wow!)
Kim Kardashian may have moved on from ex-hubby Damon Thomas, and probably regrets ever saying "I do" to Kris Humphries. She has now settled down with rapper Kanye West, and she seems happier than ever. But Kimmie will always remember who she went to prom with. And in true Kardashian fashion, she didn’t go out with a commoner. She had to go ahead and upstage all of her classmates by going with her first boyfriend, singer TJ Jackson. And yeah! If the last name sounds familiar, it should be. TJ is the nephew of the late king of pop, Michael Jackson.
According to author Sean Smith, who wrote a book about Kim’s life, the beauty mogul was pretty much in love with TJ, too.
15 Candace Cameron Bure And Scott Weinger Proved Life Imitates Art
Full House fans may recall that Candace Cameron Bure and Scott Weinger were quite an item back in the day. Well, their characters, DJ and Steve, dated on-screen for a while. But the actors also went to prom together in real life, which is kind of adorbs when you think about it. And we’re glad they had this experience because it undoubtedly made it pleasant for Bure to work with Weinger again when Netflix revived the series, now titled Fuller House.
We just hope that DJ and Steve can work out their drama in the series!
14 Mila Kunis And Ashton Kutcher Proved They Were Always Meant To Be
Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were always meant to be (Sorry Demi!). They started out as co-stars on That 70’s Show. Oddly enough, they didn’t really get along that well at first. But they did go to the prom together... well, sort of. Their characters prommed together on the sitcom, but this was the closest thing Kunis had to the real thing.
She missed a lot of the typical teenage stuff because she was on the show. And it all worked out in the end because she eventually reconnected with Kutcher and the two got married and now, the couple's on cloud nine!

In fact, the men she’s dated had been her friends before they became more, and one of them was actor Kelly Blatz.
The two of them went to prom together, and she was wearing a pink gown and a lovely tiara. Needless to say, she looked like a freaking princess. Best of all? The two have reportedly remained friends. And in case you're wondering, we're pretty sure Reynolds is totally cool with that!
12 Danielle Fishel Was Pretty "N'Sync" With The Gorgeous Lance Bass
Boy Meets World and Girl Meets World star Danielle Fishel needed a date to the prom. Fortunately, NSYNC’s Lance Bass was on hand to take her. Of course, this wasn’t your typical “boy asks girl to the prom” kind of situation. She actually had to ask him out, not that he would have objected. Bass was her high school boyfriend, so it would have been weird if he had said no.
The real reason she had to ask him was because his band schedule could have made it difficult for him to attend. Fortunately, there was no scheduling conflict and the two had an unforgettable time.
11 Jack Antonoff Took ScarJo To Prom Before Breaking Her Heart
Musician Jack Antonoff may be known for having dated the talented Lena Dunham. But in the early 2000s, he was dating none other than Scarlett Johansson, aka, ScarJo. The two of them dated back when they were in high school, so naturally they went to prom together.
Years later, Dunham found a photo of Antonoff with ScarJo and posted it online. But according to Johansson herself, he was the one who supposedly broke her heart. Oh, if only she’d shared a couple of details! We bet there’s a juicy story in there somewhere just waiting to come into the spotlight.

Technically, it wasn’t even their prom either. The two of them attended the premiere of Princess Protection Program, in which they both starred.
Then they noticed that a high school prom was being held in a ballroom nearby. So, the two of them probably thought, “what the heck?” and crashed the Etobicoke Collegiate Institute’s prom.
Gomez and Lovato managed to rock out with some of the girls at the prom before security stepped in.
8 Laurent Claude Gaudette "Promposed" To Ariel Winter And She Obviously Couldn't Say No
Ariel Winter’s Modern Family character probably wishes a knight in shining armour had promposed to her in high school. Fortunately, Winter herself did get to experience that thanks to her musician/producer boyfriend (at the time), Laurent Claude Gaudette. The two of them started dating in 2013 and he supposedly called it “love at first sight.” So he asked a friend to open a tiny box with a big “PROM?” sign in it. Then he won her over by making her crack up like there's no tomorrow. Winter shared the promposal video on her IG account in 2015 and wrote,
"Got asked to prom with someone jumping out of a box pelting flowers at me and holding up a prom sign. I love you so much baby!”
But in 2016, rumours claimed Winter wound up going solo after an apparent falling out.
7 Lucy Hale And Dustin Belt Had An Amazing Time At Prom - She Still Gushes Over It On Social Media
It’s a good thing that prom night didn’t go as badly for Lucy Hale as it did for her character in Pretty Little Liars. That show had a fake prom where she almost passed away. Then there was a real prom on the show when someone actually did wind up meeting their maker. But Hale’s real-life prom didn’t have any of that drama.
She went in a green satin gown with musician Dustin Belt who got to play guitar in Big Time Rush’s live band. While the two of them aren’t together, Hale did give him a shout-out on social media for old time’s sake.
6 Jon Hamm And Sarah Clark Were Pretty Much In Love At Prom
Jon Hamm was reportedly in a bit of a pickle when he was in high school, but it wasn't even his fault. Hamm went to high school with 24 actress Sarah Clarke. Around the same time, actor Paul Rudd had stayed over at Clarke’s house because he was college buddies with her older brother. At that point, Rudd had a major crush on Clarke. But even though Rudd was super dreamy, she only had eyes for Hamm.
Later on, Clarke decided it was time to introduce Hamm (with whom she went to prom) to her family and Paul Rudd. Eventually, the flames between her and Hamm fizzled out, so she ended up deciding to give Rudd a chance.

So, in 2015, he went to prom with a friend wearing none other than a white version of some sort of Batman suit. A month later, he attended another prom.
This time, he took The Hunger Games actress Amandla Stenberg, who wore a gold gown and silvery braids. But this time, Jaden opted for a white midi-length skirt layered under a blazer and tunic instead of a Batman suit. Iconic!

They eventually married in 1997 and have been together for over 20 years, which is a milestone in today’s day and age.

Famous IG couple Violetta Komyshan and Ansel Elgort have been very open and maybe a bit sappy about their relationship. They’re constantly posting photos as they travel around the world, go out for dinner dates or happily attend a Knicks game. But most people don’t know that these two were actually high school sweethearts who went to Fiorello H. LaGuardia High in New York and even attended prom in 2014. The couple started dating in 2012.
