When rapper Kanye West speaks, the world listens. We listen because we cannot wait to hear the next bizarre statement that will come out of his mouth. His ease to say the most outrageous things in complete confidence, has become one of the most intriguing parts of Kanye. We can't deny that Kanye is a musical genius. He's even doing pretty well, in the world of fashion. Before we point and laugh at Kanye's legendary rants, why don't we listen a little closer?

We can't deny that Mr. Kim Kardashian does sometimes make us go "Oh, I never thought of it that way." The rants might make you shake your head and cringe in embarrassment for him, but you must admit his bluntness is at times refreshing. His lyrics express the reality of many of our struggles and the deep desire of our dreams. Okay so the political talk can be a bit much but is he really wrong?

"We buy our way out of jail, but we can't buy freedom." Thanks to Mr. West we are talking about music a little more, breaking down lyrics and discussing freedom and justice more. Bruh...he's definitely over the top, but can he really be the voice of our generation? Here are 15 statements Kanye has said that actually made sense.

15 "Listen to the Kids Bro."

No, you're not the only one who wishes Kanye would just stop saying "bro." When Kanye took the mic at the 2015 VMA's to accept his Michael Jackson Vanguard Award, we knew we were in for a good rant. We will revisit this speech again but for now let's focus on the kids bro. Sorry I had to.

This is a great example of how Kanye does change the world. Many people may call him cocky and arrogant but the guy is just trying to do the best he can. The rapper's late mother Donda played a big role not only in his life but in his artistry. He understands the power of educating, molding and helping kids accomplish their goals. Now having 2 kids of his own, we can see why Kanye wants people to really listen to the ideas and the sincere minds of our children.

14 " You Don't Have the Answers Sway..."

The argument heard around the world. This video of Kanye going off on Sway during a radio interview at Sway in the Morning, will live on forever. Kanye became especially agitated during this exchange due to Sway asking him why he chose to go with a major brand while launching his new clothing line.

Kanye has time and time again criticized corporate America. Yet he knew that in order to brand himself in the fashion world he need it a major brand to back him up. Sway thought that since him and Kanye were friends, he could get away with questioning Kanye's business moves and giving him a little advice. But Sway, you didn't have the answers and his advice turned into an epic screaming battle instead. Why did Kanye's argument actually make sense? Because Sway's attempt into creating his own clothing brand failed and the blind cannot lead Kanye West.

13 "We All Self-Conscious, I'm just the First to Admit It."

A very simple and sincere line this is. The music industry is a place of glitz and glamour. If anyone knows this, it is the husband of Kim Kardashian, aka the glam Kween. The rap culture is all about competition, who has the most original raps, chains and cars. In a world where confidence is a must, it's refreshing to hear one of the best rappers ever admit that he isn't always confident.

Though this line was said in "All Falls Down" which was Kanye's break-through single, it still stands out today. Kanye has evolved since then and his brand has become one of the greatest and most memorable. When he's going off on one of his "I'm a genius" rants, just remember that deep inside he's just a bit self-conscious. It'll  help you remain a fan (LoL).

12 "Beyonce Had One of the Best Videos of All Time..."

So yes, everyone remembers this as one of Kanye's worst moments. With a bottle of Hennessy in one hand and the mic he just yanked from Taylor Swift's hand in the other, he wanted to let the VMA's know that Beyonce had really won this award. This became a defining moment for Kanye as we all now knew that when Kanye has something to say he will say it.

Let's look passed Taylor's mortified face of sadness and disappointment and take in what Kanye is saying here. "Single Ladies" was one of the most creative and innovative videos of all time. Though the idea of the video was inspired by a European artist, Beyonce brought it to life with her song Single Ladies.  Do you think Beyonce should have taken home that award? Had you seen a video of that format before Single Ladies? Were the opponents music videos as creative or more? Aha! Now you see his point don't you?

11  "My Message Isn't Perfectly Defined..."

"My message isn't perfectly defined. I have, as a human being, fallen to peer pressure." Again, Kanye may be arrogant at times but he will admit to his own weaknesses as well. Huge artists don't usually say things like "I've fallen to peer pressure," statements like this humanize him. Kanye allows people to look all the way inside of him. He gives us access into his mind and his vulnerabilities.

If you ever really study Kanye when he speaks, you will find hesitation in his sentences. He pauses several times before completing his thoughts. This proves more than anything that although he is trying to desperately explain his ideas, his messages will never be perfectly defined. At times he has a harder time trying to get out what he really wants to say. Some of his actions might be caused by trying to keep up with his peers and the rest by just who he is.

10 "I am Warhol. I Am the No. 1 Most Impactful Artist of Our Generation..."

"I am Warhol. I am the No. 1 most impactful artist of our generation. I am Shakespeare in the flesh." Okay Kanye calm down, no you're...wait, are you? Comparing yourself to two of the most innovative artists of all time takes some cojones. Kanye however doesn't hold back when it comes to glorifying all of his creativity. He has also compared himself to Steve Jobs, another unquestionable genius of this decade.

Let's think, if somebody else would have said this about Kanye, would you have agreed? If you take the time to really think about it, do you see his side? His music, beats and work is ever-changing and always out of the box. Kanye's lyrics, visuals for his music videos and performance are always a "Hmm, nobody has ever thought of that before." So yes, like or not, Kanye is the most impactful artist of our generation.

9  "I Was Never Really Good at Anything Except For the Ability to Learn."

Wow. How do you come up with a way to put that statement into words. If you think about it, none of us are good at anything except for the ability to learn. Our crafts and what we do are all things that we have learned and perfected along the way. We spent time doing the things we like and trying to become better at them. If we can take in new things and learn how to execute them we can too become creators. He is speaking the truth on how we as humans behave.

If you really think about it learning music, words, business and fashion is all that Kanye has done. Of course we are all born with that special urge towards something particular in life. But we all have to study that field in order to make it ours. That's what Kanye and so many other different artists have done in music and art.

8 "I Don't Know What's Better Gettin' Laid or Gettin' Paid."

You probably read this header twice or a few times. It was important to throw a simple laugh in this countdown. Yes, yes this isn't an intellectual statement but it is a question with some relevancy. In a world ruled by money and power, have you balanced out these two? What would you rather? Some of you might really be struggling to try and answer that question. I mean we all want money, loads of it and we all get excited on payday. But when it comes to a good roll in the sheets, that can be just as exhilarating.

The rich and famous have it all. Women, money and happiness. But would the women and happiness come without the money? Beware of how you divide your time as laying around with someone might take away from the time you are giving to building your empire. Get laid or get paid, that is the question.

7 "I'm Such a Futurist that I Have to Slow Down and Talk in the Present."

He even speaks in riddles. This is one of the cockier statements but doesn't it just take you on a trip? Like what does he really mean? Well, let's try to figure it out. After all, that's what differentiates Kanye's statements with others.

In order to live in the times he needs to stop and speak in terms we understand. Sounds insulting but many creative people think like this. We appreciate the contributions this man has brought to our times. After all, whether we agree with his statements or not, he is trying to make valid points. It is just a matter of us understanding the messages he is trying to convey. Sometimes his actions are so drastic that they overshadow what he's trying to say. So we want him to continue thinking in the future and talking in the present.

6  "To Real Friends, To the Real End..."

"To real friends, to the real end Till the wheels fall off, till the wheels don't spin?" Trustworthiness and loyalty is what we all want to surround us. Unfortunately, even family can turn their backs on you. And that can be one of the most devastating things to experience. Sometimes water proves to be thicker than blood, that type of loyalty is what this line is about.

"Real Friends" by Kanye West has a simple concept but the truth behind it is way deeper than its surface. Are the people in your life there through thick and thin? Sure we can all do for ourselves by ourselves but the path to success is a rocky one. We all need someone there to help or just truly be there through the tough moments. Remember, friends are the family we choose.

5 "Everybody Gon Say Something , I'd Be Worried if They Said Nothing."

"If you ain't got no haters you ain't poppin" says French Montana and isn't that the truth. If someone isn't talking about you than you're really not doing anything to cause all the chatter. We all want success but successful people have told their truths about losing "friends" along the way. So yes, you're only doing something right when others are talking about you. This is a painful reality for those striving for fame or success.

Kanye is the topic of conversation from media blogs to national news. Is he doing well? Yes, I would say so. Despite his whole "I'm broke" episode everything has always gone pretty well for Mr. West. He now has his wife, Kim Kardashian West by his side and well, she does pretty well for herself. With those two put together the media will never run out of things to talk about.

4 "I Can’t Let These People Play Me, Name One Genius That Ain't Crazy."

There it is, even Kanye admits that Kanye is crazy. As I was saying before Yeezus has certain tendencies that all point to him being a little bit off. Not in a bad way however, as Kanye's crazy is just about him not being able to control his thoughts. Imagine being that full of ideas and your mind just needing to release sometimes? That's where the ranting comes from.

He is a great example of a mind that never sleeps. Kanye has proven to be an original composer of art. Though his clothing line isn't everyone's favorite, the masterpiece behind his music and some of his fashion is undeniable. I mean he wouldn't be who he is if his more than entertaining rants and drama wouldn't come with all his greatness. Look at his wife's fashion transition since coupling up, she is more of a style icon now than ever before.

3 "My Girl A Superstar All From a Home Movie."

Ohhh yes, we all do love differently. Well, it's better to be the first to say it than to hear others ridicule you for it. In the collaborative tune "Clique" Kanye joined fellow rappers Jay-Z and Big Sean to share some words with the world. At the time Kim and Kanye had just started dating. But what else do you do when the world knows of how your girlfriend came to fame and power? When you know the world is talking down about your partner.

Guess it didn't bother either of them that much since they married shortly after and now have two beautiful kids that are just as famous as them. Am I the only one who is still curious to know what her reaction was when she first heard that verse? Is that recorded somewhere on one of those Kardashian reality shows? Get it to me now! Bottom line is, the truth is the truth, he just chooses to own it.

2  "I Made That B***h Famous."

Let's rewind back to 2009 and skim back through entry number 12, when Kanye made Taylor Swift famous. Before you Swifties tear me into little pieces, we all recognize Taylor's hard work and true talent. But let's be honest, most of the world got to know who Taylor was through a Google search of "blonde curly hair singer dissed by Kanye" after that night. She was well known before, but became very well known after that night. Even people who aren't into Hollywood gossip know about that incident and who it involved.

I mean we do have to give him credit for Amber Rose as well. Muva probably would have made her way into the limelight either way, but this path sped up the process. Yes, the wax figures in the music video to this song were creepy, but each and everyone of the people lying in that bed played a major role in making the other...famous.

1 "No Matter How Hard They Try, We're Never Going to Die."

Forget your physical form for now and look beyond this verse. No matter how hard they try to stop you, put you down, discourage you, hurt you or even beat you down; you're never going to die. Just close your eyes, put your hands to the sky and sing it loud! This statement is number 1 for a reason.

Maybe this definition wasn't his own nor his real intention. But that's the wonderful thing about words in a song, you get to choose what it means to you. That's what makes Kanye such a genius, that he knows that. He understands that words can mean a million things and what he does today has the power to impact the world tomorrow. But most importantly, never forget Kanye's most famous words; "George Bush doesn't care about black people."
