There is only one woman in the world who has been so successful she was able to drop an album with no advanced notice and witness it achieve platinum status in just one week. That woman is Beyonce.

At 34-years-old Beyonce has built herself a global empire. She has earned millions in endorsements from brands such as H&M and Pepsi, she has had her own fragrances and clothing line, a history of sell-out worldwide tours, twenty Grammy awards on her shelf and she has sold over 118 million records worldwide.

Her career has stretched on for nearly two decades and with a new album due for a rumoured launch soon, it's going to be another whirlwind year for everyone's most-loved phenomenon. Over the years, Beyonce has proved to the world that she has got what it takes to always be at the top of her game. Here we share some of her tips that will help you to also become flawless.

15 You Are Going To Lose - And That's Okay

In 1990, before the world was ready for a Beyonce domination, she was part of a pop group called Girls Tyme. Aged just nine-years-old she performed on TV talent show Star Search believing this was going to be her shot at the big time. Sadly performing an energetic routine and singing their hearts out was not enough to win over the judges.

They lost to an older rock band and were sent home devastated. Beyonce said of the experience, "In my mind we would perform on Star Search, we would win, we would get a record deal, and that was my dream at the time. There’s no way in the world I would have ever imagined losing as a possibility. At that time you don’t realize that you could work super hard and give everything you have and lose. It was the best message for me."

14 Always Take The Risk

Beyonce has never been one to turn down a single opportunity as she believes risks always pay off eventually. Her advice was, "I can never be safe; I always try and go against the grain. As soon as I accomplish one thing, I just set a higher goal. That's how I've gotten to where I am."

Her first big screen debut was in 2002 when she took on the role of Foxy Cleopatra in Austin Powers: Goldmember alongside Mike Myers. She also wrote her very first solo single, Work it Out, for the soundtrack. It was this opportunity to record a track on her own that gave her the confidence to launch her own solo career.

13 Keep Work And Personal Separate

Matthew Knowles played a huge part in Beyonce's success, quitting his job when she was younger so he could manage her career full-time. Then in 2011, she shocked the world by firing him from her team.

The said about her decision, "I've only parted ways with my father on a business level. He is my father for life, and I love my dad dearly. I am grateful for everything he has taught me. I grew up watching both he and my mother (Tina Knowles) manage and own their own businesses. They were hard-working entrepreneurs and I will continue to follow in their footsteps."

12 Don't Try To Be A People Pleaser

[caption id="attachment_27760" align="alignnone" width="1200"] nbcbayarea.com[/caption]

Even Beyonce, who has millions of adoring fans around the world, knows that she can't please everybody. Her motto is, "I don't feel like I have to please anyone. I feel free. I feel like I'm an adult. I'm grown. I can do what I want. I can say what I want. I can retire if I want. That's why I've worked hard."

When she dropped her 2013 album Beyoncé from nowhere, she gave all exclusivity to iTunes even though she was risking big disagreements with competitors Amazon and Spotify. Her brave decision paid off and the album went to number one in over a hundred countries.

11 Stop Feeling Sorry For Yourself

[caption id="attachment_27763" align="alignnone" width="1280"] via: YouTube.com[/caption]

Take a leaf out of Beyonce's book when she says, "When I'm not feeling my best I ask myself, 'What are you gonna do about it?' I use the negativity to fuel the transformation into a better me." Allowing yourself a little tough love every now and again will help you to constantly improve.

In her 2013 autobiographical documentary Life Is But A Dream, Beyonce proved to the world that she works hard and puts herself through gruelling daily routines. Never once will you catch her complaining though.

10 Stand Above Others

In what could have been seen as some serious shade-throwing, when asked by Complex magazine how she felt about constant comparisons to Rihanna, she replied, "I have an authentic, God-given talent, drive, and longevity that will always separate me from everyone else."

There is nothing wrong with singing your own praises every now and again. Forbes magazine reported that it can even improve your own salary by revealing, "Being boastful gets you ahead at work. Owning up to your accomplishments isn’t about arrogance; it’s about getting what you deserve."

9 Aim High

[caption id="attachment_27766" align="alignnone" width="3000"] japantimes.co.jp[/caption]

Beyonce never allows her last achievement to define her and is always aiming that little bit higher every time. She said, "I'm over being a pop star. I don't wanna be a hot girl. I wanna be iconic."

Life is a constant test and there will always be new challenges. When you finally discover who it is you want to be, life will open up limitless opportunities that will fulfil you everyday. Do as Beyonce would and map out exactly who you want to be and then aim for that.

8 Respect The Success Of Others

Beyonce took to the main stage for the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show in 2013. Her show which included special guests Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams from Destiny's Child received rave reviews. It is the second most watched show in Super Bowl history after 110.8 million viewers tuned in to watch.

To prepare for her big moment, Beyonce studied hours of footage from previous halftime shows including those by Michael Jackson in 1993, Madonna in 2012 and Prince in 2007.

7 Don't Feel Pressured To Join The Trend

[caption id="attachment_27769" align="alignnone" width="1200"] nydailynews.com[/caption]

Beyonce has 10 million followers on Twitter and she has only tweeted ten times. The Halo singer hasn't used the platform since 2013, instead preferring to communicate with fans through Instagram and her official website.

Her social media guru Lauren Wirtzer-Seawood explained to Musically, "Currently, we don't use Twitter at all. It is a personal choice. I think as an artist, Beyonce really prefers to communicate in images. It's very hard to say what you want to say in 140 characters."

6 Be Confident In The Bedroom

[caption id="attachment_27785" align="alignnone" width="1318"] thatgrapejuice.net[/caption]

Beyonce once claimed, "The most alluring quality a woman can have is confidence." Her latest album was released with some of her most sexualised lyrics. In her song Partition she sings, "The man ain't ever seen a booty like this. And why you think you keep my name rollin' off the tongue? Cause when you wanna smash, I just write another one."

In a recent study published by the Psychology of Sexual Orientation and Gender Diversity, they claim having positive experiences when experimenting with your sexuality can boost your overall self-image. So take a leaf out of Beyonce's book and get confident in the bedroom.

5 Keep Calm In The Face Of Controversy

[caption id="attachment_27796" align="alignnone" width="1368"] standard.co.uk[/caption]

Beyonce's life has not been one without controversy. Her father was said to have had a secret son the family knew nothing about, she has been accused of using photoshop on most of her selfies and not to mention the now infamous "lift-gate" between her husband Jay-Z and sister, Solange.

In a public statement released after the Met Ball brawl, she announced, "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it." So far her public image has not been affected by these disastrous events.

4 Nothing Beats Independence

Imagine a world where Beyonce didn't come into her own? It's a horrible thought but it took a lot of confidence to get to where she is today and we can guarantee she doesn't regret the decision to go solo.

In her Life Is But A Dream documentary she explains, "Nobody thinks for me, nobody makes decisions for me." Ever since her debut solo single Crazy In Love hit number one from her album Dangerously in Love she has had opportunities thrown at her ever since. Follow in her footsteps and discover how successful you can be by claiming back your own independence.

3 Always Put Your Health First

[caption id="attachment_27791" align="alignnone" width="1280"] via: YouTube.com[/caption]

It's safe to say that Beyonce has a busy schedule and she needs to keep health constantly at it's very best. Her workouts are designed by personal trainer Marco Borges and they work all four major body joints: elbows, knees, hips and shoulders. Intense cardio such as this not only burns calories but also boosts the metabolism.

Beyonce often sticks to a strict vegan diet when she's on tour but if she does need to lose weight and fast then she skips a meal entirely and opts for a protein shake. She does have one of the most enviable figures in the world, so there's no denying her regime works.

2 Take The Power For Yourself

[caption id="attachment_27784" align="alignnone" width="1280"] xonecole.com[/caption]

"Power's not given to you. You have to take it." That's what Beyonce told Vogue magazine in 2013 and it's her most important lesson to women.

In 2014, Forbes ranked her as the most powerful celebrity in the world after her Mrs Carter world tour was bringing in an average of $2.4 million per show. She also secured huge contracts throughout her career including a $50-million multi-year deal with Pepsi.

1  Always Give Back

[caption id="attachment_27781" align="alignnone" width="3600"] ifyoublinked.com[/caption]

Beyonce has a net worth of over $500 million but she better than anyone else knows the importance of giving back. She has supported thirty-one different charities and three causes. In her song I Was Here she sings, "The hearts I have touched, will be the proof that I leave, that I made a difference."

One of her biggest accomplishments was co-founding CHIME FOR CHANGE, a foundation designed to empower women and girls through education, health and justice.
