In 2007, Vanessa was sued. The reason? Apparently, it was for "breach of contract." The guy said that he paid for a lot of stuff while she was singing and recording songs. He wanted $150,000.
Vanessa didn't end up having to pay him that sum or anything else. How? Even though he said that she had made over $5 million dollars as a singer, she said that, well, she was sweet sixteen when the contract was signed. When you're sixteen, you're considered a minor in the eyes of the law, and according to Vanessa, she really had no clue what she was signing or agreeing to. She wasn't old enough, she said. It seems like the end result was in her favor and she could move on from this. Yes, just like she had nude photos released online TWICE, she has been sued twice.
This time, it was 2008, and a guy sued her because he had been her manager once upon a time. He wanted -- you guessed it -- money. Who would have thought?! He said that she really screwed over people who had been working for her and by her side right when she got super famous. All parties involved were able to settle the case.
Of course, we have no idea if she really did owe him some dough, or if she really did treat people badly right when she was becoming famous. There's literally no way of knowing that information. If she wants your sympathy or empathy, maybe she shouldn't do things like this. Sure, you can't exactly see the front of her chest, but you can see a lot of skin. 5 She Wants To Play A Risky Character
Sure, it's all well and good for a celebrity to want to stretch themselves, learn more about their acting craft, and do something different. No one wants to be typecast or have to play the same kinds of parts forever.
But... Vanessa has said that she wanted to play a m ore risky character (street worker), and that's honestly pretty strange. That's a very depressing part to sign up for and it's not something that her fans would associate her with. Well, she did it!
