It's safe to say that literally no one had a good 2016. From the uneasy and difficult political climate to all the celebrity deaths (seriously, it felt like every star passed away last year), it was a tough 12 months for most people. It definitely wasn't the best year for Rob and Blac Chyna, either. The celebrity couple got engaged last year, sure, and Chyna gave birth to adorable baby Dream. But they had their ups and downs and the truth is there were more downs than ups. Things came to a screeching halt for their relationship at the end of 2016 when Chyna left Rob with the baby. Apparently, someone hacked into her Instagram account and posted all this crazy stuff about the situation -- saying that Rob was without his beloved potato chips, that he was completely devastated, that she didn't care about him or being a real family. We weren't sure what to believe and it was a time that can only be described as confusing AF.
But it's now 2017 (thankfully!) and we are ready to think about what's next for this famous duo. Here are 15 predictions for Rob and Chyna's second year of their relationship.
15 Another Break-Up
Sure, the two of them might be back together now. But does anyone really believe that they will stay that way? Their romantic situation seems really complicated and so we believe that they will have another break-up pretty soon. It might be even more confusing and strange than their original break-up! Maybe this time, Chyna will leave with the baby and every single kind of junk food that is in the house, not just the potato chips. Okay, okay, jokes aside, we wish that this couple could figure out how to be with each other and stop all the drama... but we're just not sure that is in the cards for them yet. Maybe another break-up will make them realize that they are totally and completely in love and that they can't keep messing things up. This is true for the good of their relationship and also for the well-being of their adorable baby Dream.
14 A Massive Make-Up
Of course, we don't believe that this break-up will last. Because we don't think that these two lovebirds are done with each other yet. We think they are going to figure out a way to make things work. So another prediction we have for these two in 2017 is that they will have a massive make-up. Since they are so fabulous and so famous, their make-up is not going to be super simple. They're not just going to have a serious conversation. They're going to post tons of stuff on social media about how they are back together and how they will absolutely never be apart ever again. They will seem super genuine and like they really believe that this is true, and so we will hope that it is true as well. We only want the best for them, after all, and so in 2017 we're going to keep our fingers (and toes) crossed that things will continue in a positive and super romantic direction.
13 An Epic Romantic Getaway
We also think that Rob and Chyna will plan a super epic romantic getaway this year. They might bring the baby or they might not. After all, Kourtney Kardashian always brings her adorable children on fabulous vacations, so maybe they will follow in those footsteps. We have a pretty long list of places that we think they would go on this trip. They might go European and head to Tuscany or the countryside of France. That would be the definition of epic, that's for sure, and we would love to follow along (on social media, of course). Or they might go to Turks and Caicos or the Bahamas or Palm Springs. Or they might go to the most romantic city in the world: Paris. Now that we think about it, they will definitely go to Paris because they will want to prove to themselves (and to their social media fans and followers) that they are truly in love and they are in this thing for real and nothing will tear them apart again.
12 More Social Media Drama
If we can sum up 2016 for Rob and Chyna in a few words, it would be "social media drama." Just look at what happened at the end of 2016! It was kind of frustrating to follow along as a fan/mere mortal because we just didn't understand what was happening. But then we remembered that most celebs are full of drama and anyone that is part of the Kardashian clan is even more dramatic than other people. That's just a fact of life. So we can safely say that if there is one thing that these two lovebirds will do in 2017, that is stir up even more social media drama. Whether they will post vague and confusing stuff like back in December when it seemed like someone had hacked into their Instagram accounts or bring things to a whole new level of crazy, we're not sure. All we know is we will be following along every step of the way and we will be on the edges of our seats. There's not much else that we can do, after all, since we're totally invested in their relationship at this point.
11 A Big Kardashian Feud
It's no secret that Chyna and the Kardashians just don't get along. For starters, there's the fact that Chyna and Tyga (aka Kylie Jenner's boyfriend) used to be in a super serious relationship. They were even engaged. Oh yeah, and if that's not enough, they have a kid together named King. AWKWARD. Just imagine those family dinners. We can't even think about it because it just feels too weird. There has been even more drama between her and the famous family since then as apparently she has been wanting to take the Kardashian last name and they're just not into it. So it seems only natural that Chyna and Rob will have a pretty big fight with the rest of the Kardashians. Maybe they will have such a big argument it will turn into an all out feud. Maybe it will even be an entire storyline on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and we will get to see what actually happened. Well, maybe not what ACTUALLY happened since reality television is not always completely realistic, but maybe we can see at least some of it.
10 Adorable Family Selfies
Chyna often posts super sweet and super adorable photos of her two kids King and Dream, and we think that this year, she's going to post more family selfies -- but with Rob included, too. Because we're convinced that this will be the year that they really decide to commit to each other and forget all this nonsense. Sure, there will still be some ups and downs because that's just life, and we get that they will probably never stop with the drama entirely. But we think that things might get a bit smoother, at least for part of the year. We can't wait for these because if normal selfies are fun (or at least we pretend that they're fun so don't have to face the fact that we're kind of too obsessed with ourselves), then family selfies are even more fun. Just look at baby Dream. And look at how adorable Rob has become. He's so in love with that baby and really seems to be settling nicely into the whole dad thing. So we're all about these future selfies that we totally believe are going to be a regular thing.
9 A Makeover
We think that both Rob and Chyna are going to have huge makeovers this year. No, it's not because we think that they need them. They both have their own sense of style and that's always really cool. But everyone can always use a refresh or a fresh start and so we think that they are both going to have a whole new look. After all, it's a new year and they have both gone through so many changes already, they might as well look different on the outside. We think that Chyna is going to dye her hair something crazy and fun like purple, green or blue. We're thinking that purple is totally going to be her thing. Rob might even dye his hair blonde -- you know, just for something new and different. We also think that they're going to spend a ton of dough getting a whole new wardrobe. It's going to be pretty interesting.
8 A Second Engagement
Can you get engaged to the same person for a second time? Probably not since technically you're already engaged and once is enough. But this is a Kardashian that we are talking about. We think that in 2017, these two are going to get engaged yet again. They have gone through so much since last April when they originally decided to get married, and so it only makes sense that they would decide to re-commit to each other. It's really not such a weird idea when you think about it. People can get married for a second time to the same person when they renew their vows, right? We don't think that's strange, we think that's hopelessly romantic. This would totally be the exact same thing. Who knows? Second engagements might even start a whole new celebrity trend and we could see all kinds of famous faces getting engaged for the second time. It would be pretty fascinating to watch.
7 Business Surprises
We're predicting that in 2017, both Chyna and Rob are going to have some business surprises for the general public. They might invest in some interesting companies. They might start their own companies (either separately or together). Maybe they will open a bar, restaurant, cafe or even a trendy and cool juice bar. We can totally see Rob having a clothing line and we can definitely see Chyna having a jewelry or makeup line since she always looks so perfectly made-up and fabulous. Of course, that last one might cause some more tension between her and Rob's famous family, but we're thinking that she might want to take her chances since it would be such an awesome business opportunity. We don't usually hear about anything that these two are up to business-wise and we think that this is the year that is going to change. Why not? Anything can happen in Hollywood and they definitely want to start thinking about their financial future and their baby.
6 A Fancy New House
No Kardashian can live anywhere but a total palace, right? That's basically a rule of the universe. We think that this year, Chyna and Rob will move into a new and fabulous house. Well, it won't be a house -- it will definitely be a mansion. And we will get to see it since they will probably post all about the new place on their Instagram accounts. Maybe they will even take some Snaps of it and we will get to see it in real time. Sure, moving is never super fun, but we think that watching them move would be super entertaining. We're wondering if they would move close to the other Kardashians so their kids could all play together and grow up together? That would be the dream (no pun intended!) and we think that this would be a really good idea. Since they all claim to have made peace, we think they should prove that and all live together in one happy little family neighborhood.
5 Bling For Chyna
We think that Chyna is going to be rocking some serious bling this year and that Rob will buy her something fabulous. That could be a necklace, another engagement ring, some bracelets, or all of the above. She's going to post all about it on every social media channel that she has, so we just know that we don't have to worry about not being able to follow along with this. Nothing says true love like a big fat diamond, right? Definitely right. Yeah, this might cause some serious fighting between Chyna and Khloe/Kim/Kourtney/Kylie/Kendall. Because we think that the other girls would be super jealous of her jewelry and it would start a whole big thing. But we think that there will be drama anyway so Chyna might as well embrace her bling. It's not like she's going to return it, right? We definitely don't think that's even a remote possibility.
4 A Second Season Of Their Reality Show
Apparently Rob and Chyna's reality series didn't do quite as well as they had hoped, and season two is not necessarily going to happen. But we think that the Kardashians and reality television are basically the exact same thing and that these two will get a second season for sure. 2017 will be the year that these new episodes air. We're thinking this summer or fall. We will totally be watching because we basically live for this stuff. Sure, there was a lot of criticism about the first season because people thought the show was pretty dull and that nothing really happened (and if stuff did happen, it was essentially manufactured drama). That doesn't seem like a big deal at all since that really does describe a lot of reality shows. Sometimes that's all these shows are. We think that a second would be an awesome idea since they would definitely have enough drama to film these days.
3 A Couple Name
Why don't these two have a fabulous couple name yet?! We think that in 2017, they will definitely get one. We honestly have no idea what it could be because their names are so different and there isn't anything that we can think of off the top of our heads. But we're rooting for them and we think that this couple name could really be a good thing for their brand (and for their relationship, of course, but we do have to think about their brand). A couple name is pretty good for morale, right? It would make them feel like they were even more in love and even more committed to each other. It would make them seem much more solid than they already do and make it seem like breaking up yet again and not being able to parent their baby together would be a horrible idea. Honestly, anything that keeps them together is good enough for us, and we think that having an adorable and fun couple name would be a great idea.
2 Making Up With The Kardashians
Okay, so we've been saying that there is tons of drama and tension and conflict between Chyna and the Kardashians... but that doesn't mean they can't stop that! We definitely predict that in 2017, she is going to make up with Rob's entire family. Yes, even Kylie. Sure, they can claim that they have already done this, but we don't really believe them. There's no way that we could since we think that this is such a difficult situation, it would be impossible to move on so fast. But we think that enough time has passed that everyone can just settle down, be mature, and move on. After all, Rob now has the most adorable baby ever and she has the best name ever (seriously, we wish our names were Dream!). And if the cutest baby ever isn't enough to bring an entire family together, we're not sure what would.
1 Another Pregnancy
Yup, you heard it here: we totally think that Chyna is going to get pregnant with Rob's baby yet again this year. We really believe that a second baby is in their future. It makes sense since they are now back together and this is a way to prove that they are committed to each other, to their baby, and to a future together. Sometimes a couple has a baby in order to stay together and forget about their problems, and while we don't think that is a good idea (okay, it's definitely not a good idea!), we do think that in this case, it might work. They are both family people (Chyna already has a kid and Rob comes from a super close and large family, of course) so they would probably take having a family seriously. We're not sure when her second pregnancy will be announced -- it could be this month, it could be in six months, it could be at the very end of 2017. But we seriously believe this is going to happen. We swear.
