The wedding speeches, that part between the beautiful moment when the couple are wed and when everyone gets on the dance floor. For those who are close to the bride and groom, this can be a truly heart-warming moment filled with gushing praises of love. For the majority of us, although we would never admit it, this can be considered the boring part of the day with bad jokes and long, boring poems.

However, over the past decade something magical has happened. Thanks to the internet there is now fierce competition to make sure that every newlywed has a wedding speech which is the funniest and most entertaining of all. The pressure is on but these guys have tossed the slow speeches and opted instead for dance acts, rap songs, flash mobs and even dancing waiters. What kind of wedding would it be if it doesn't get over 500,000 views on YouTube anyway?

All newlyweds are nervous on their big day but when the responses from the guests are this memorable, you know you might just have landed the title of The Wedding of the Century.

15 Tom Fletcher Performs A Private Gig

McFly frontman, Tom Fletcher, married his long-term girlfriend, Giovanna Falcone, in 2012. The rocker announces that he can't cope with public speaking so when the big moment calls for his speech, the 30-year-old blasts out an acoustic revamp of one of his own songs, It's All About You. The rendition is a big thank you to his friends and family, a complete crowd pleaser which is as catchy as it is charming. With over 16 million hits on YouTube.

14 A Comedian Serenades His New Wife

They say it's best to find a life partner with a sense of humour and judging by this surprise performance from British comic, Bryan Lacey, his new wife has done just that. Picking up an acoustic guitar he bursts into a song that has the whole wedding party laughing alongside him. He wows his guests with genius lyrics such as: "We should have another holiday/ but everybody says that three holidays a year is greedy/ but they've never seen you in a bikini". This guy has some hilarious songwriting talent.

13  Daniel Buccheri Surprises His Brother

Singer and self-proclaimed "Best Best Man", Daniel Buccheri, bought home three million views when he uploaded his best man's speech. Serenading the bride and groom with his very own take on Sam Smith's Stay With Me then breaking out into an upbeat comedic performance really is pure gold. It was his own brother's wedding and the kind of effort every best man should be making.

12 Surprise Let It Go Performance

If there was an award for the most hilarious remix of Frozen's Let It Go then this maid of honour should take home the trophy. The bride, known as Amy, laughs as her sister complains that since she is now married they won't have much sister-time anymore. Her own mother joins in during the chorus begging her daughters to just let each other go. Despite being terribly off-key, this funny sibling makes up for it with her cuteness factor.

11 Father Of The Bride Kills It With His Dancing

Your typical father of the bride speech is either a warning that the groom better look after his daughter or just a series of terrible Dad jokes. As he takes to the stage, the father of the bride looks around for a drink and drags over the nearest waiter he can find. A very awkward beginning exchange soon becomes a duet that even top comics would be proud to pull off.

10 Don't Stop Believing

There's something about the intro and lyrics of Journey's Don't Stop Believing that can instantly make everyone feel delighted. What starts off as a wedding speech turns into an amusing, choreographed routine by the bride and her bridesmaids. Performing in front of a very surprised groom, the group manage to pull off the dance and eventually all the guests begin to join in on the fun. Well, it sure beats a regular first dance any day.

9 Bride Shares A Breathtaking Moment

Every girl dreams of her big day, it's your special moment to show off how truly beautiful you are and impress your new husband. Bride, Meg Stankevich, put together a huge surprise for her man after she serenaded him with At Last by Etta James. The love she captured with the song is enough to bring a tear to anyone's eye, especially as this song has some really tough notes to nail.

8 Wedding Guests Get Their Groove On

Isn't it just great when you get the whole gang together? What begins as quite a mundane best man speech soon turns into an epic choreographed routine with the bridal party and groomsmen when the music starts up. Performing to Walk The Moon's epic hit Shut Up and Dance they get the crowd clapping along and then eventually everyone joins in. Like a true wave of happiness this is one moment the wedding party won't be forgetting anytime soon.

7 It's Britney Time...

Sometimes you can take one look at a best man and know exactly why he was chosen for the job. Choreographer, Chris Downey helped Bradley Bredeweg surprise his best friend, Stephanie Huntington, on her wedding day with a Britney Spears-style performance. In his opening speech he mentions how the two of them have been huge fans of Britney and just before he gives her away as a new bride, they have one last moment of silly fun together.

6 Chelsey Steals The Show

Chelsey Hill went from maid of honour to stand-up comedy sensation overnight. Stepping up to make her speech at her sister Katie's wedding to Jeff Vogrin she has the whole crowd on her side from her opening line. Grabbing the mic she announces that she hates public speaking but she quips, "Katie told me if I do a good job tonight then I can do it again at her next wedding". With the crowd all hyped up, Chesley delivers seven minutes of hilarious musical brilliance.

5 (Pitch) Perfect Moment

It's not a proper party unless a flash mob appears from nowhere. When the maid of honour starts acting awkward the bride looks confused. Then the party discovers they have put together a Pitch Perfect performance to blow the guests away. Far from a polished performance, it's the fact that these girls look as if they just rehearsed in a parking lot outside that makes it all the more entertaining.

4 The Hallstone Rap

Best Man, Steven Hallstone, decided that he would surprise his brother, Adam with his unique version of Down by Jay Sean. With bride, Laura Doak, also by his side he begins rapping - badly - reminding her to the beat that she is now a Hallstone for life. What Steven lacks in musical talent he makes up for in creativity with this humorous routine. We absolutely love this one.

3 Maid Of Honour Drops The Beat

Here is another contender in the worst- yet-most-charming rapper competition. Maid of honor, Kelly Farace, rewrites the rap of Vanilla Ice's hit Ice Ice Baby. She raps: "Now that the party is pumping, with drinks in the air and lot's of first pumping". All the guests are clearly loving it. She also mentions in her number about the open bar, so either at the end of the video there is a standing ovation or just a rush to be the first in the queue for a drink.

2 Sisters Storm The World With Their Performance

It's not a real honeymoon unless you go viral when you are away. At least thats what Caitlin Hallerman and her groom, Johnny, discovered after their bridesmaids performed this epic routine. Caitlin's sisters, Kelsey and Maddie Hallerman, can not sing and they certainly can not dance - but they sure can write a viral hit. They remixed together Tracy Chapman's Give Me One Reason, Jackson 5's I Want You Back, Backstreet Boys' Everybody and Michael Jackson's Black or White. You just have to watch the video once to understand why everyone loves it.

1 The Hooded Bridesmaid

Can the realest bridesmaid of all please stand up, please stand up. Just when you begin to think you have seen it all, singer Jennifer Gabrielli blows the world away with a rap that secured her 6 million viral views on YouTube. Appearances are not to be believed as Jennifer begins her speech looking sweet and innocent, but then when Eminem's The Real Slim Shady starts up she's ready for it. Watching the video you can sing along to this epic rap with Jennifer's lyrics which are: "Well this looks like it's meant to be/ so everybody please toast with me/ raise your glasses if you're thirsty / It's the wedding of the century".
