We live in a golden age of technology, people – and don’t you forget it. Thanks to Mark Zuckerberg pretty much taking over the entire world, social media has become a vital way of life. Given, he only has control of the Facebook world, but since then, social media sites have slammed head first into our very existence (we tend to forget about those sly MySpace and Friendster days) and are connecting individuals who wouldn’t dream of connecting in the real world. Thanks to Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat, we get to witness something tremendous: when those very people clash and start to go after each other’s throats on a very public forum. While these celebs take their epic social media feuds seriously, we find them unbelievably entertaining. Here are 15 of the most insane, yet hilarious, celeb social media fights.

15 Ariana Grande & Bette Midler

We shall call this “Diva Beat Down: 2014”. The legendary Bette Midler called out Ariana Grande for wearing skimpy clothing in one of her music videos, and Ariana retaliated with utter disappointment because, well, Bette Midler attacked her. “Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgment!” Ariana tweeted out in sadness. “Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!! Always a fan no matter what my love.” Bette then sent out a half apology herself. “About my screed on @ArianaGrande, all I can say is “Spoken like a reformed old w+*re!” She does have a beautiful voice, on the couch or off.” I’d take that as a full on apology since she was cool enough to call herself a “reformed old w+*re”.

14 Lady Gaga & Adam Levine

Beware about who you think is subtweeting about you… because you might actually be wrong. This happened to be the case when it came to singer Adam Levine’s tweet about art and Lady Gaga took it to heart. “Ugh.. recycling old art for a younger generation doesn’t make you an artist. It makes you an art teacher.” For some reason, this tweet got back to Gaga and she assumed Levine was tweeting about her so she responded with “Uh oh guys the art police is here.” Levine then went on to say that the tweet wasn’t regarding Gaga in any way and then proceeded to talk about how he himself wasn’t an artist. It was funky and odd and Levine still hasn’t really clarified what the hell was going on in his head with that first tweet.

13 Patton Oswalt & John Tesh

It’s a strange world when you see a comedian and a former saxophonist get into an online fight. But, welcome to the age of Twitter, folks. This was the case when comedian Patton Oswalt tweeted at John Tesh after the latter tweeted out that he was looking for new hashtag. Oswalt joined in on the fun with his own tweet “@JohnTesh how ‘bout #TESHtag” Tesh was pretty thrown off by the lack of effort Oswalt was showing. “REALLY? Is that the best you got? I thought you were like a creative genius or something. Help a brother out. Pretty please.” Oswalt came back with “#TESHisousmoments” (hahaha, good one). This proceeded to go on for a while with the two snipping back and forth at each other – but it was all in good fun.

12 Rob Kardashian & Blac Chyna

Controversy will never fail to surround the Kardashian family. Hell, they bring most of it on themselves in every way possible. However, this time around, it’s brother Rob who may end up on the wrong side of the law thanks to a little revenge p*rn game he attempted to win. Rob blew up his Instagram about his ex’s Blac alleged cheating habits and posted some very NSFW photos of her. Apparently, this all started after Blac sent Rob a video of her making out with another guy. Then it ALLLLL started to go down. After being shut down by Instagram for his posts, he took the feud over to Twitter in order to continue ranting and posting photos. Blac then went to seek a restraining order against her former boyfriend, which made matters worse. THEN after all this went down, the paparazzi caught both Blac and Lamar Odom together (Odom is Khloe Kardashian’s ex husband) which caused Rob to wig out even harder.

11 Rihanna & Chris Brown

None of us in the real world even know why a goddess like Rihanna kept going back to her horrible ex-boyfriend Chris Brown AFTER he physically assaulted her. After everything went down, Brown cooled all his social media accounts to (probably) avoid public backlash. However, after he returned to Twitter, the two once again resorted to sending out passive aggressive tweets about each other. “Sometime loving someone is too much! So loving from a distance will help everyone grow! Be blessed. Live ya life!” Brown tweeted out. Rihanna, of course, had something to say about this. “Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain’t for kidz #butimsleeptho” she then tweeted. Of course, this bizarre feud has been going on for years and doesn’t really show any signs of slowing down.

10 LeAnn Rimes & Brandi Glanville

For those of you not in the know, Mrs. LeAnn Rimes is married to Brandi Glanville’s ex husband Eddie Cibrian. The two had met on the set of a Lifetime made-for-TV movie called Northern Lights while Cibrian was still married to Glanville. LeAnn and Eddie then had an affair which lead to Brandi filing for divorce after eight years of marriage. Since then, the two ladies haven’t been shy about attacking each other on Twitter from time to time. Back in 2011, they called a truce, but it didn’t last long (thankfully because it’s stupid entertaining to watch them b*tch at each other). “Flying out with my boys in a few hrs,” LeAnn tweeted out one time, referring to her step-sons. “It’s always more fun when they are with me.” Brandi then jumped on LeAnn’s tweet with one of her own. “Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children “her boys” Sooo transparent! They r MY boys, Eddie’s boys, and ur step-sons…4 now.” Ouchie.

9 Lady Gaga & Perez Hilton

It’s so depressing to see two besties fall apart right in front of your very eyes. But this happened to be the case with gossip columnist Perez Hilton and the uber famous Lady Gaga… well, at least they were besties in OUR eyes – they may think differently. Anywho, once upon a time, Perez happened to be in the lobby of Gaga’s apartment, and, quite naturally, she flipped the eff out on Twitter. “@PEREZHILTON YOU ARE A LIAR I KEPT EVERY PSYCHOTIC TEXT U SENT TO MY PHONE. I NEVER RESPONDED+NOW YOU’VE STALKED MY HOME. BOY WHO CRIED WOLF”. Oh wow. Perez responded accordingly and told Gaga that she was just making matters worse because she was attacking him on a public venue. “It’s also transparent you’re using a public forum like Twitter to address a private matter, just to get publicity for your song,” the writer tweeted back. He then went on to say she hurt his feelings and that she’s not the person she claims to be in public.

8 Rihanna & Ciara

When divas attack each other on Twitter, they go all out. This happened to be the case when Ciara and Rihanna blasted each other both on television and on Twitter. Years back, Ciara went on Fashion Police and dropped somewhat of a bomb when she claimed that singer Rihanna “wasn’t the nicest” when they bumped into each other at a party once. “My bad ci, did I 4get to tip u? #howrudeofme” Rihanna shot back at Ciara after seeing the footage. “Trust me Rhianna u don’t want to see me on or off the stage,” Ciara clapped back, obviously threatening her. “U gangsta huh? Haaa” Rihanna responded. This went back and forth for a bit until Rihanna bit the bullet and apologized. “Ciara baby, I love u girl! U hurt my feelings real bad on TV! I’m heartbroken! That’s y I retaliated this way! So sorry! #letsmakeup”. Of course, Ciara accepted her apology and the two went back to being friends.

7 Nicki Minaj & Taylor Swift

Ah yes, you can’t have a list like this and NOT feature Taylor Swift, the woman who likes to take everything personally. Back in 2015, Nicki Minaj’s music video got snubbed at the MTV VMAs in favor of Taylor’s video, and of course, she tweeted her frustration. “If your video celebrates women with very slim bodies, you will be nominated for vid of the year,” she tweeted out, followed by a bunch of smiling emojis. Swift thought she was subtweeting at her since it was her video that took home the prestigious award of the night. “@NICKMINAJ I’ve done nothing but love & support you. It’s unlike you to pit women against each other. Maybe one of the men took your slot…” Nicki then defended herself and clarified that the tweet wasn’t an attack on women or on Taylor. It was Taylor who ended up turning around to apologize. Nicki accepted and tweeted hearts back at her.

6 Amanda Bynes & Rihanna

As far as celebrity Twitter wars go, this one takes the cake. A few years back, local Hollywood crazy Amanda Bynes just started attacking Rihanna on a public forum for no apparent reason. She even cut right to the bone and brought up the entire Chris Brown debacle back in 2009. “No one wants to be your lover so you call everyone and their mother that I almost named my new dog Rihanna,” she tweeted out. “Chris brown beat you because you’re not pretty enough." HOLY FREAKING HELL, AMANDA WHAT THE UTTER HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU. This led to a pretty massive fight, one of which Rihanna had the last word in because as we all know, Bynes has pretty much gone off the deep end and had to be taken down a peg or eight.

5 Perez Hilton & Amanda Bynes

These two apparently like to start waves since they’re featured on this list more than once. Sure, Bynes’ twitter feud with Rihanna was a big deal, but her fight with gossip columnist Perez Hilton was juicy in a different way. After Hilton posted a photo of Bynes supposedly jumping on a trampoline. “@perezhilton Just because u talk about stars all day & pick terrible photos of us doesn’t make u famous! Ur face is ugly even @ ur thinnest!” she fired back at him. “@perezhilton is ugly, has never had a hot boyfriend. He makes being gay look bad! No one wants to be a single parent bc no man wants them.” She even said that Hilton should even consider taking his own life. He simply tweeted that he was concerned about Bynes’ health and that he hopes she receives treatment. Bynes eventually apologized in her own crazy way by saying he’s not ugly.

4 Amber Rose & Khloe Kardashian

When your little sis happens to be doing the deed with someone well over the legal age of consent, you’ve gotta step up and protect her. Well, not from the older dude in question, but from people throwing stones at the duo on Twitter. This happened to be the case with Khloe Kardashian, who went after Amber Rose after the latter called out the then 25-year old Tyga for dating the then 17-year old Kylie Jenner. Khloe basically told Rose to mind her own business and brought up her past as a club dancer: “’I was a [dancer] since I was 15 years old,’ Amber Rose told Foxx,” Kardashian tweeted out. “Please don’t worry about my sister who has her career and her s*** together at 17” Rose was quick to return a serve of her own. “I’m happy u brought up the fact that I was a [dancer] at 15… I”ll be like that lil w+*re to support my family like ur older sister is a w+*re 2 support hers. We’re even.” Oh, snaps all around.

3 Kanye West & Jimmy Kimmel

Late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has always had a playful way with all of his guests. Of course, we all know about his “feud” with actor Matt Damon and we get the biggest kick out of his sketches featuring the pair together. However, there are some celebrities who take Kimmel way too seriously for their own good. One of those celebs happens to be Mr. Kim Kardashian himself, Kanye West. West saw a spoof that Kimmel did on his show where he made fun of West’s interview style. West took to Twitter to air out his feelings in a long rant where he called Jimmy a “manipulative media muther****er”. And, because of course, Kanye used all caps in order to drive his tweets home. “SARAH SILVERMAN IS A THOUSAND TIMES FUNNIER THAN YOU AND THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS IT!!!” the rapper closed with. Jimmy eventually brought Kanye on the show and the two kissed and made up.

2 Chris Brown & Jenny Johnson

A great deal of people don’t really know who comedian Jenny Johnson is, and that’s a real shame. After rapper Chris Brown did the unthinkable and beat the absolute hell out of his then-girlfriend Rihanna, everyone aired out their feelings about Brown. Most people, like Johnson, simply called him a piece of s***, which is completely justifiable. What wasn’t justifiable was Brown going on the defence and started to verbally attack Johnson on Twitter: “@JennyJohnsonHi5 mom says hello… she told me not to shart in ur mouth, wanted me to **** right on the retina… #pinkeye” Brown tweeted at the comedian. “Okay. I’m done. All I got from that exchange with Chris Brown is that he wants to **** and fart on me.” She tweeted back. “I have zero respect for a person who seems unapologetic for the terrible crime he committed and shows no signs of changing.” Brown ended the convo by declaring himself the “winner” of the exchange and called Jenny a b****. Yes, he really is a piece of absolute s***.

1 Miley Cyrus & Sinead O’Connor

In what world do these two attack each other?? Oh, yeah, welcome to this century and, well, the Twitter universe. Singer Sinead O’Connor wrote an open letter to Miley Cyrus regarding her VMA performance back in 2013, telling her not to let the music industry turn her into, well, a w+*re. Miley then reached back to two years prior when Sinead tweeted out a seriously long, disillusion rant about her being off her meds and needing to see a shrink ASAP. “I realize I will be in trouble 4 doing this but… Ireland is a VERY hard place to find help in. So having tried other ways 1st I’m asking..” she tweeted out to her followers. Miley simply took a screen shot of the long series of tweets and tweeted it out with the line “Before Amanda Bynes.. there was…”. O’Conner actually suffers from bipolar disorder so what Miley did hit way below the belt and she was called out on it.
