15 Jennifer Lopez
Wearing a dress that she could still rock now at 46, Jennifer Lopez made waves with her green-coloured Versace dress. With sheer fabric and a plunging v-neck that went all the way down to expose her bellybutton, she wore the revealing gown to the 2000 Grammy Awards, alongside her beau at the time, Puff Daddy.
The dress, which still makes the rounds on shocking dress lists, has been said to be the whole reason for the creation of Google images, according to Vogue. Eric Schmidt, Executive Chairman of Google, revealed that this came to be because so many people wanted to see the dress for themselves but couldn’t, thus leading to Google Image Search.

9 Jaime Alexander
For a celebrity who hasn’t been the most daring in past red carpet looks, actress Jaime Alexander had people talking with the sheer cutout black dress she wore to the L.A. premiere of Thor: The Dark World. While on the Jay Leno show, she did admit to wearing “something” down there, though she wouldn’t say that it was underwear.
The revealing dress, which was floor-length with a sheer slit down her entire front and one side of her leg, was clearly a first for her, as she admitted she used a lot of toupee tape and had to walk very carefully so that nothing would move out of place.

When Lady Gaga isn’t wearing meat dresses on the red carpet, she’s going for another look: barely there. At the Songwriters Hall of Fame 46th Annual Induction and Awards, she dressed in nothing but a red robe, chunky black boots, black underwear, fishnet stockings and a black leather bandeau. In some respects, it was less eye-catching then the many other crazy costumes she’s worn on the red carpet and while on stage.
Now in 2015, she’s certainly tamed down her style since her engagement to Taylor Kinney, even wearing a one-shoulder formal black Brandon Maxwell gown to this year’s Emmy Awards, proving that more clothing is definitely better in her case.
7 Gwyneth Paltrow
The actress for being rather pretentious raised eyebrows while at the L.A premiere of the movie, Iron Man 3. She was dressed in an Antonio Beradi dress that was entirely sheer up and down the sides of her legs, revealing the bare sides of her butt. It was one of her most daring looks, as she’s known for being rather conservative on the red carpet. She later joked on the Ellen DeGeneres Show that she was horrified to discover that her “a$s was hanging out,” and that her team “scrambled to find a razor,” to help with grooming before she put it on.
6 Angelina Jolie
The bombshell who invented the “Angelina leg,” had the term named after her for a reason. She wore the long black gown with a thigh-high slit that showed off her right leg to the 2012 Oscars. It was one of her more provocative looks, as most of her best red carpet moments have included fancy floor-length, skin-covering gowns.

Rapper Lil Kim has worn her share of rather inappropriate dresses on the red carpet, starting with the iconic 1999 VMAs look that Miley Cyrus later copied as a Halloween costume. It featured a purple glitter jumpsuit, a matching purple wig and her left breast exposed except for a matching purple glittering seashell shape piece of fabric on top of it. Her other barely-there red carpet looks have included a pink and grey dress that tightly cupped her breasts and showed off her legs.

Pop star Katy Perry is a style chameleon when it comes to the red carpet. One day, she may be channeling Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake in nothing but denim, and the next, she may be wearing her go-to red carpet style: barely there. At the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, she wore a blue wig and a sheer glitter dress, much like the one Beyoncé wore to the Met Gala, only Katy’s was a mini dress that showed off her legs. At the 2013 Grammy’s, she dressed things up a bit, yet still showed off her assets in a chest-revealing neckline green dress.

Making it as the third Kardashian to top the list, Kylie Jenner is no stranger to dressing provocatively. Like her sisters, she hits the red carpet in outfits that create lots of controversy, especially for her young age. At the latest VMA’s, for example, the 18-year-old wore a sheer-paneled Balmain mini dress on the red carpet, then a skintight off-the-shoulder bandage dress to all the after party events. Amber Rose, the controversial celeb and ex-girlfriend of Kayne West, who has been in more online fights than we can count, is known for her next-to-nothing looks on the red carpet. One of her most revealing was the dress that landed her on multiple worst dressed lists: a chain dress that showed off her midriff and the thong she had underneath.
At the 2015 VMA’s, Amber Rose and Blac Chyna, both stars who have been in online feuds with the Kardashian, wore matching outfits that called out all their haters with NSFW labels all over it.

Rose Mcgowan, an actress and ex-girlfriend to Marilyn Manson, takes the cake when it comes to revealing dresses on the red carpet. Amber Rose even paid homage too by tweeting her after wearing her chain dress. “Thank u @rosemcgowan for being a fabulous trendsetter u were truly my inspiration tonight!”
The dress that Amber was referring to was the metallic fringe dress made entirely of intricate beads. It exposed her breasts, butt and the front of her leopard thong. The metallic dress has been called the most iconic VMA’s dress ever and for good reason.
