15 Celebs Who Should Have Hired Ugly Nannies

Nannies and housekeepers serve very important roles for many families around the world, and become invaluable members of that family as they bond with the children and the parents. Nannies in the United States earn an average of $13.05/hour each day, and housekeepers in the United States earn an average of $9.78/hour. While their wage may not reflect their admirable effort, there is no doubt they do very important work, and the families they work for would agree. When it comes to people who work for celebrities, they're often paid a pretty penny on top of their wage to keep quiet about the things they see going on around the home.

Cooking, cleaning, changing diapers, and taking care of other household and childcare duties might not sound like a glamorous job, but nannies and housekeepers are often portrayed as sexy home wreckers or tempting characters in the media, television, and movies. While there are many cases of the man of the house having a torrid affair or perhaps just an attraction with the nanny or housekeeper (or the woman of the house doing the same) in real life, it isn't happening in every single normal family the way it is portrayed in the media.

In true Hollywood style, when it comes to nannies and housekeepers for celebrities, they are often as sexy in real life as they're made out to be in movies and are good-looking enough to be celebrities themselves. If these celebrity nannies and house-keepers are planning on getting into "the industry" themselves, this probably isn't a bad career choice in the meantime! The problem is, in Hollywood, rumours swirl around anything and everything, and celebrities are often under suspicion of having an affair with their children's nannies. Here are 15 celebrities who've been caught in that firestorm.

15 Jude Law

via: http://a.abcnews.com

Back in 2005, an epic Hollywood scandal erupted when Jude Law's relationship with his nanny broke up his relationship with actress Sienna Miller. Law's nanny, Daisy Wright, who was then 26 and Law was 32, admitted they had a torrid love affair for a few months in a tell-all with People magazine. Law, who was then engaged to a then 23-year-old Miller, was publicly shamed and ridiculed for his infidelities and, not surprisingly, his engagement with Miller was called off.

Arnold Schwarzenegger has accomplished a whole heck of a lot in his 68 years: He's served in the Austrian army, he's been Mr. Olympia and Mr. Universe multiple times, he was the Governor of California from 2003-2011, a successful acting career, a 25 year marriage with Maria Shriver, he has five children, and one of those children happens to have been the result of a romantic relationship he had with his nanny, Mildred Baena. Mildred gave birth to their son, Joseph, 17 years ago. In 2011, near the end of his term as Governor, rumors of his former relationship with Mildred surfaced and Schwarzenegger confirmed them, admitting: "I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids." Although Shriver and Schwarzenegger separated shortly after this story broke, Schwarzenegger's career does not seem to have been irreparably damaged by the scandal.

13 Ben Affleck

First there was Ben and Jen (Lopez), and then there was Ben and Jen (Garner). Affleck, 42, married Garner, 43, in 2005 and they have three children together. Like any Hollywood couple, there were often rumors of their separation, but sadly, these rumors proved to be true as they announced they were separating this past June. So far, their separation is proving to be anything but a clean break. Sources are alleging that Affleck has been having an affair with his children's former nanny, Christine Ouzounian, 28. Affleck and his rep have vehemently denied the allegations, but sources close to Ouzounian say she has gone so far as to show them pictures of her sitting on Affleck's lap and kissing him. Here's to hoping this isn't true!

12 Robin Williams

Robin Williams was only 63 when he took his own life in 2014. The comedic actor had such an astonishing body of work and brought joy to so many lives, and the world continues to mourn his loss. His incredible work is what most people point to when discussing his legacy, but there was a time in his life where he was in a media firestorm over allegations of his relationship with his son's former nanny. Williams was married to Valerie Velardi with whom he had one son, and Marsha Garces was their nanny. Williams began a relationship with Garces, and he and Velardi were soon divorced. Williams married Garces while she was pregnant with their daughter Zelda. Their relationship proved to be much more than just a fleeting affair; the two were married for 19 years.

Jon and Kate Gosselin rose to fame thanks to their TLC reality show, Jon and Kate Plus 8,  which chronicled their lives as parents to eight children, six of whom were sextuplets. Gosselin, 38, and Kate, 40, announced they were divorcing in 2009 and rumors began to swirl about what caused the marriage to end. Gosselin began dating Hailey Glassman, the daughter of Kate's plastic surgeon in 2009, but their relationship didn't last long. That same year, the Gosselin's former nanny, Stephanie Santoro, admitted she and Jon had a sexual affair during the month she was employed by him. Gosselin later apologized for being seen publicly with other women too quickly after he and Kate separated.

Ethan Hawke, 44, is a very successful actor who has four Academy Award nominations under his belt. In 1998, he married similarly successful actress Uma Thurman, and they were married until 2005, amid reports of his infidelity. Thurman and Hawke had hired a nanny named Ryan Shawhughes to look after their two children. In 2008, Hawke and Shawhughes were married, and of course, their relationship was the topic of many scandals. Hawke insists that he and Shawhughes did not begin their relationship in 2003 when she was employed by the family, but rather, they waited until 2005 when Hawke and Thurman were officially divorced. Today, Hawke and Shawhughes are still married and have two children together.

9 Mick Jagger

via: http://static4.businessinsider.com

Mick Jagger is an iconic English rock-and-roller who is one of the founding members of The Rolling Stones. Jagger, 72, apparently took "sex, drugs, and rock and roll" to an extreme, as he reportedly was an active participant in all three. Jagger married model Jerry Hall in 1990, and they were married until 1999. During their marriage, they had three children. Many rumors about Jagger's lack of fidelity during his marriage to Hall came to light after they separated. Christopher Andersen wrote a Mick Jagger biography in 2012 that brought many old rumors about Jagger to the surface. These old rumors included that Jagger and Hall had a nanny named Claire Houseman, and she claimed that she and Jagger had a sexual encounter: "We kissed passionately. The next thing I remember, he was making love to me," and that afterwards, Jagger helped her off of the counter, kissed her on the nose, and said: “OK, babe.” How romantic.

8 Sara Evan's Husband, Craig Schelske

via: http://3.bp.blogspot.com

Country singer Sara Evans filed for divorce from her husband of nine years, Craig Schelske, in 2006, and in the divorce papers she alleged Schelske cheated on her, drank too much, took inappropriate pictures of himself, watching adult films in their home, and was verbally and emotionally abusive to Evans. Furthermore, Evans believed Schelske had cheated on her with their nanny, Alison Clinton. After Evans' allegations had come out, both Schelske and Clinton denied they had any romantic involvement, and Clinton even took a polygraph test to prove she wasn't sexually involved with Schelske, and she passed with flying colors.

7 Rob Lowe

via: http://images.huffingtonpost.com

Actor Rob Lowe, 51, got his first big break in 1983 when he starred in the successful film, The Outsiders. In 1989 when Lowe was just 22, he was caught in a sex tape that featured two women, one of whom was much younger. Lowe later explained to Oprah this was "the greatest thing that happened" to him because it forced him to get sober, which he has been for over 20 years now. Unfortunately, this sex tape scandal wasn't the only scandal to which Lowe's name would be attached. In 2008. Lowe's former nanny, Jessica Gibson, alleged that she was sexually harassed by Lowe and had been repeatedly groped by him, but kept the job because she needed the money. Lowe filed a countersuit, claiming Gibson was attempting to blackmail him for $1.5 million. In 2009, lawsuits between both Gibson and Lowe were dismissed, and it has never been shared if a settlement was reached.

6 Chris de Burgh

via: http://www.mtv.com

The name Chris de Burgh might not ring a bell for you, but his hit song from 1986 "The Lady in Red" certainly would. De Burgh, 66, is a British-Irish musician, and he has been married to his wife, Diane, since 1977. In 1994, Diane was recovering from a broken neck in the hospital when de Burgh began an affair with their children's 19-year-old nanny. The affair became public shortly after it began, and de Burgh admitted to his mistakes and credited his wife for their now "rock-solid" marriage.

5 Michael Kennedy

via: http://www.independent.co.uk

When the Kennedy family comes to mind, "scandal" and "tragedy" likely do, too. The large family has held positions of varying political power throughout the years, including President John F. Kennedy, and Senator Ted Kennedy. Michael Kennedy, who was the nephew of JFK, was a successful lawyer as well as the head of a non-profit. Tragically, Kennedy died in 1997 after hitting a tree while skiing. During the year before he died, reports surfaced that Kennedy may have had an affair with his children's babysitter who was 19 at the time, but that they had allegedly begun their affair when the babysitter was only 14, which was and is very much against the law. Kennedy later took lie detector tests to prove their relationship did not begin until she was at least 16 years old and passed it.

4 Joe Piscopo

via: http://cbsnews1.cbsistatic.com

In the 1980s, Joe Piscopo was a staple on Saturday Night Live. The actor and comedian was well-known for his impersonation of Frank Sinatra, and the funny sportscasting he did on Weekend Update. Joe, now 64, married Nancy Jones in 1973 and they had one son, Joey, in 1979. Piscopo and Jones later divorced in 1988. In 1994, Piscopo became engaged to a model named Kimberly Driscoll. But Driscoll wasn't always a model; she used to be Joey's nanny. There is no reason to believe Piscopo ever cheated on Jones with Driscoll due to the large time gap between relationships. Piscopo and Driscoll were married in 1997 and divorced in 2006.

3 David Beckham

via: http://2.bp.blogspot.com

The Beckhams (David and Victoria) are no doubt a Hollywood power couple. The two have been married for 16 years and have four children together. The soccer star and former Spice Girl have lasted a lot longer than many celebrity couples seem to, but their time together hasn't come without controversy. In 2005, when the couple and their children still lived in the UK, their former nanny, Abbie Gibson, claimed she had an affair with David Beckham, and he wanted to leave Victoria. Beckham denied the allegations and pursued legal action against Gibson as well as a newspaper that published the story. The Beckhams moved to Los Angeles shortly after, leaving the drama behind them, or so it seems.

2 Heidi Klum

via: http://assets.nydailynews.com

Heidi Klum is one of the most iconic supermodels of all time, and one of the original Victoria's Secret Angels, as well as the first ever German Angel. The 42-year-old is a mother of four, and she has been married twice. Her second marriage was to Kiss From a Rose singer, Seal, and it lasted from 2005-2012. After pictures of Klum hanging out at the beach with her bodyguard surfaced in 2012 shortly after he separation from Seal was announced, Seal spoke to TMZ and had some not so nice claims to share: "Whilst I didn't expect anything better from him [the bodyguard], I would of thought that Heidi would have shown a little more class and at least waited until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help." While Klum's bodyguard wasn't technically a nanny, he did spend a lot of time with Klum, Seal, and their children.

1 Gavin Rossdale

via: http://i.dailymail.co.uk

One of the nastiest cases of "jumping to conclusions" happened to singer Gavin Rossdale and his wife, Gwen Stefani, in 2012. When paparazzi snapped pics of Rossdale on a hike with a blonde woman who WASN'T Stefani, but was instead their nanny. The press had a field day with this news, and the images that showed Rossdale's hand on the nanny's backside were all over the news. Before long, it was revealed that the woman whose back had Rossdale's hand on it was just Rossdale's sister. There was no torrid love affair with the nanny going on, and that's one happy ending to that story. Unfortunately, the ending didn't stay so happy: Rossdale and Stefani announced they are divorcing in August 2015, after 13 years of marriage.
