Like many of us, you've probably spent hours daydreaming about your movie star crush and how perfect your lives would be together. And if you are anything like us, you realize it's never going to happen and drown your sorrows in a big bowl of Ben and Jerry's.

But it shouldn't be that hard, what does it take to meet a celeb? After all, they're 'regular' people like you and I, right?

You can try the 'bumping-into-them-at-the-gym' trick, but that may be hard to pull off thanks to their personal trainers and home gyms. You can also try crashing any events you know they'll be at; good luck getting past all that security. Or try stalking them on social media, but that can earn you a block and possibly a restraining order.

*Sigh*, it looks like we'll just have to keep stalking from afar and lusting on Instagram. While we haven't cracked the 'code' (yet), these lucky 15 found a way around it and worked their magic.

Annoyingly, some are celebs themselves, thus making at least two regular people really sad.

15 Lee Ryan

Remember MySpace? Yeah, me neither. But Samantha Miller does, after all that's where she caught the attention of Blue boy band member Lee Ryan. Sending him 'sexy' pictures of her got the singer so hot under the collar that he immediately declared that he had fallen in love.

They hooked up and were soon engaged. The couple had a baby together in 2008, but soon ended their relationship.

14 Josh Duhamel

In a 2004 interview with InStyle magazine, Duhamel admitted to having a major crush on the Black Eyed Peas star. He even gushed about how she 'featured' in his naughtiest dreams. Since the press generally has zero chill, the entire quote went in the next edition of the mag. Running into Fergie a month later, she asked him about it. Embarrassed for a few minutes, he recovered and they got talking. Things went great and they got married in 2009. The couple are still together and they have one son.

13 Jerry Seinfeld

This funny man and his wife credit one another for saving each other, making them huge fans of each other. Fresh out of a five year relationship that she described as “the most difficult period of my life”, Sklar credits the comic for his friendship. She said it gave her the strength and resilience she needed at a time of desperate need. On his part, he said meeting her 'saved his life as she gave him something to care about.'

The couple got married in 1999 and have three children.

12 Reese Witherspoon

After failed relationships with some of the hottest men in the industry, Witherspoon found love, still in the industry. Kinda. In 2010, she began dating one of the co-heads at Creative Artists Agency, Jim Toth who had been a fan for a while.

They got married in 2011, and have one son between them. Till date, the love-smitten actress still calls him her 'number-one fan.

11 Conan O'Brien

In one of his typical OTT skits, O'Brien taped a segment at the New York offices of ad giants Foote, Cone & Belding. During the 2000 segment, he met a team of copywriters who helped bring one crazy ad to life. But the story didn't end when the cameras stopped rolling.

One of the copywriters, Liza Powel, had an eye for the red-headed TV host, and they exchanged numbers. They dated for a year and a half, got married in 2002 and they have two children together.

10 Tom Cruise

The infatuations in the TomKat relationship began long before Cruise was bouncing on Oprah's couch in 2005. A young Katie grew up watching Cruise's movies and had the typical little girl crush.

In a 2004 interview, Holmes who had become a star on Dawson's Creek, was quoted as saying “I think every little girl dreams about (her wedding). I used to think I was going to marry Tom Cruise.” They met for the first time a year later and a whirlwind courtship followed. Her wishes were granted as they got married in 2006, after the birth of daughter, Suri.

In June 2012, Holmes filed for a divorce from Cruise.

9 Corey Feldman

Aspiring model, Susie Sprague first met Feldman at her 19th birthday party in Hollywood. Sprague said she feels it was pre-destined as she had a huge crush on Feldman since her childhood.

They dated for a year before getting married on October 30, 2002. Seven years later, they called it quits. In one of the most bizarre divorce settlements, the judge awarded Sprague $750 a month as upkeep for their son.

8 Steve Harvey

The duo first met in 1990 when she came to see him perform at a Memphis comedy club. He was apparently so smitten as she walked past the stage that he announced “Excuse me Miss, I don’t know who you are, but one day I’m going to marry you.”

That bold declaration led to a relationship, but with Harvey always on the road, they soon ended it. The two went on to have other relationships and children with other people. While they kept in touch, maybe a phone call once a year, one of them always seemed to be in a relationship.

Things changed when they found themselves divorced at the same time and things just finally seemed right. The now-successful Harvey proposed to Marjorie and they got married on June 25, 2007. Living together with their combined seven kids from previous relationships, the couple are still together today.

7 Gwyneth Paltrow

Sure, she's the First Lady of Goop, but she's also a Coldplay fan girl. Where do you think she met Chris Martin? While dealing with the death of her father, she attended a 2002 Coldplay concert. She met Martin backstage and she seemed to find solace in him.

They dated for 18 months and got married in December 2002. After two kids and a decade together, they consciously uncoupled in 2012.

6 David Beckham

Hard to believe, Beckham had a 'red-blooded interest' in Posh Spice long before they hooked up. Smitten from the first time he saw a Spice Girls video, Becks finally met her in person after she came to watch a charity match in 1997.

Overcoming his initial stage fright, they got to talking and went on a few dates. As successful celebs, their relationship was quickly splashed all over the news. They got married in 1999 and have 4 kids together.

5 Nick Cannon

In a 2013 interview with Queen Latifah, Cannon admitted that Mariah had been his dream girl growing up. His crush on the singer started when he was 12 and though he wasn't in showbiz, he was determined to meet her someday, somehow.

The funny man didn't let the 10 year age difference stop him from admiring Carey from afar, he even 'spoke their meeting into existence'. The two met for the first time when he presented her with the Choice Music R&B Artist award at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards. A few years later, she invited him to star in and be the co-director for her Bye Bye video. They were engaged shortly after and had what he described as a “fairy tale” wedding.

Things seemed to be going great for the couple; they had a set of twins and they celebrated a fantasy fifth wedding anniversary in 2013. But their 'fairy tale' marriage ended when Cannon filed for divorce in 2014.

4 Kanye West

This may come as a shock but Kanye had been crushing on Kim Kardashian for years. Friends since 2007, they couldn't date as they always seemed to be in other relationships. But when Kanye broke up with Amber Rose in 2010, he had to wait for a few years for his crush to become single.

He spent some of that time working on the songs that would finally make the Cruel Summer album. Kanye expressed the level of crushing on the single "Way Too Cold" which included the lyrics "And I fell in love with Kim/ Around the same time she fell in love with him/ Well that's cool baby girl, do your thing/ Lucky I ain't had Jay drop him from the team."

His patience paid off when she got divorced from Kris Humphries in 2011. The pair started dating in 2012 and were married in 2014.

3 Russel Brand

These two first met when Perry had a cameo in Brand's movie Get Him to the Greek. The scene involved kissing Brand, and while it didn't make it into the final movie, Perry admits she was smitten from that first kiss.

They met again while preparing for their parts at the 2009 MTV VMAs. Perry reportedly threw a water bottle at his head to catch his attention. During the event, which he hosted, Brand even offered to be her shoulder to cry on if she didn’t win any prizes. The two were often found in each others company soon after that.

On New Years Eve in 2009, they got engaged in India and were married ten months later. But after 14 months together, Brand filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.

2 Billie Joe Armstrong- Adrienne Nesser

Adrienne Nesser is another fan who caught the eye of a lead singer. Nesser first met the Green Day frontman at a concert in Minnesota in 1990. The two were in other relationships, but stayed in touch. Over the next four years, anytime the band played around her hometown of Mankato, Billie Joe always dropped by to see her.

They maintained an on-and-off long distance relationship, until Billie Joe asked her to move to California to be with him. Two weeks after she arrived, he proposed and she said yes. They got married on the second of July, 1994 and have been together since then. The couple have two sons together.

1 Gisele Bundchen - Tom Brady

The super model and the New England Patriots QB were first set up on a blind date by mutual friends in 2009. But after only one date, she soon began to show up to cheer him on at football games.

In an interview with Vogue, she confessed to "knowing he was the one straightaway". She said she was drawn to his integrity, their shared values, and she thought he was pretty cute too. The power couple were married in 2009 and are still together with two kids.
