A lot of celebrities complain about the paparazzi and we totally get it. Not having any privacy must be super frustrating. What if you were having a bad hair day or just wanted to go to the grocery store in your sweats? Having the grocery trip documented would not be fun. But alas, it is the price you pay when you become famous. Many celebrities complain about the paparazzi’s intrusion, and some have yelled or even physically fought back. How else are you supposed to express your anger over the situation? Well, you could just not give a damn, like these celebs. These celebrities have outsmarted, played with, or just plain old did not care about the paparazzi. So far, it seems like that is the best way to handle it as it makes the famous people even more charming and charismatic than they were before. 15 Rihanna
Rihanna is the ultimate personification of “IDGAF." She lets the paparazzi do their thing and just goes about her life. Occasionally she will talk back to them or give them a hilarious comeback. When asked by a pap about getting free tickets, she said “You make enough money off of me!...Free tickets these nuts!” But she usually ignores them. She even smokes in front of them because she just doesn't care. When there is a crowd of paparazzi waiting for her, she just pushes her way through them and gets in her car. Now that is a true bada$$! It's not hard to see why so many people are in love with or idolize Rihanna. Despite all the chaos, she still manages to make time and brave the pap storm just to sign something or take a picture with a fan. If you ever are lucky enough to encounter Rihanna, don't flash a camera off in her face. Give her a compliment and politely ask for a picture.
14 Justin Theroux
Actor Justin Theroux (and Jennifer Aniston’s lucky hubby) has a nonchalant approach when it comes to the paparazzi. When asked about all the attention on him and Jen, Justin once said “It can be an annoyance, but it’s not the end of the world. You have to center on what its core thing is, which is that you met someone you fell in love with. It’s hard to explain. I just find myself wondering, What’s the big f–king deal?” It definitely seems like he has an extremely different view than many other celebs! But then again, who would not want to be photographed with Jennifer Aniston? Not only is being on Jen’s arm totally brag-worthy, but you get to show off to the world how in love and happy you are! Well, I guess that is one thing she is not shy about! She is, however, shy in general and likes to keep to herself. This is nearly impossible due to the career path she is on! But she finds a way to deal: by just flipping the paparazzi off. Well, that is certainly one way to do it! Kristen has a weird relationship with the paparazzi ever since they revealed the affair she was having, cheating on boyfriend Robert Pattinson. Now Kristen seems to be more careful and wary of the paparazzi now that she knows the power they have. They have completely impacted her life and they are unavoidable. But hey, it was still pretty brave of her to flip them off. Though they still have power, she tries to act as much as possible like she does not give a damn.
12 Miley Cyrus
Like Kristen Stewart, Miley Cyrus has had her fair share of flipping the paparazzi off. But she has made it clear she does not care about the paparazzi getting their shots—or their safety. In an old clip (pre-short blonde hair!) she is being photographed and recorded getting into a car. Traffic is busy and she says something to the paparazzi something along the lines of “Don’t get hit. Or do, I don’t care.” Ha! There is also paparazzi footage where she looks straight at the camera (acknowledging she knows they are there) before proceeding to make out with model Stella Maxwell, and even starting to get a tad physical. Maybe she wanted to see if they would really film it. Maybe she wanted to make a statement. Whatever her motivations, Miley has grown used to the paparazzi having grown up with them all of her life. Even before she was Hannah Montana, she was photographed as Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter.
11 Taylor Swift
This girl is arguably the most popular tabloid fodder there is. Her style, famous friends, and famous beaus have all kept her in the public eye and grabbing the paparazzi’s attention. Taylor has been known to do silly things, like walking backward, when she does not want her face to be seen after a session at the gym, but she has always been about the PDA with her boyfriends in front of the press. Take the paparazzi pictures of her with her latest boyfriend Tom Hiddleston, where they frolic in the ocean while he rocks an “I <3 T.S.” shirt. Taylor has accepted the role that the paparazzi play in her life, saying “I think it’s just obnoxious if I complain about anything… I hear people talk about like, ‘oh, the intrusions on my privacy.’ It’s like there are a million other jobs you could have had. And for me, I’ve just come to an acceptance of the fact, this is my life.”
10 Jim Carrey
It should not be much of a surprise that comedian Jim Carrey has fun with the paparazzi. It has been reported that when paparazzi trail him, he tries to engage them in conversation and ask them questions about their life, making the paps uncomfortable. But his trolling of the paparazzi reached an all-time high when, after getting snapped walking hand-in-hand on the beach with then-girlfriend Jenny McCarthy, they decided to do a re-shoot…this time, with Jim wearing Jenny’s bathing suit. Hilarious! It did not look quite as good on him as it did on his girlfriend, but it was certainly a surprise for the paparazzi. Jim knew pictures were going to be taken of him in the bathing suit, so he made sure to rock it and show off. And Jenny just went with it! She was a tolerant girlfriend, that is for sure. Then again, maybe she wanted to mess with the paparazzi just as much as Jim did!
9 Jennifer Lawrence
This should be shocking to exactly no one: Jennifer Lawrence is a total goofball and does not change her goofy self for the paparazzi. She has shot the finger many a time, but we think these pictures speak for themselves—she knows paparazzi is capturing her being a total dork, but she just does not seem to care. She had her hesitations at first: it took her three days to accept the part at Katniss Everdeen in the Hunger Games franchise because she knew what fame would come with it. But she braved it out and decided to play with the paparazzi instead. “I realized that whatever I do, at any level, I would lose a part of my private life,” she said. “For each ‘everyday’ photo published, I generally spent three hours playing cat and mouse with photographers.” Looks like Jennifer is not going into hiding anytime soon!
8 Ryan Gosling
This dreamboat is definitely a favorite subject of the paparazzi. However, he hasn't seemed to fight back or yell like a lot of other celebrities have. Instead, he just makes a funny face. I mean, what else can you do? You do not want to smile for the paps like you enjoy them being there, but you do not want to frown like you are upset about them being there. So, stick your tongue out and tease them. Ryan takes the total “nana-nana-boo-boo” approach by mocking the paparazzi and making sure they get a good shot of his silly face. “The Notebook” star seems to have a sense of humor about his predicament. And if you ask us, this only makes him cuter! Ryan is known to keep a lot of stuff private, like his family life (did you know he has two kids?). But he seems to accept the paparazzi will not go away, so he deals with them in his own innocent way.

Wiz Khalifa is like Rihanna in the sense that he just does not care that the paparazzi is watching him! In one case, he handed out bags of illegal substance to paps and fans while driving away. Um… illegal much? But he is Wiz Khalifa, so he got away with it! We mean, maybe that means he is on good terms with the paparazzi? “If you smoke only listen to Wiz Khalifa,” he told the crowd. Not surprising from someone who has a mixtape entitled “28 Grams” and “Weedmixes.” According to Wikipedia, “Khalifa is open about his use of cannabis, and he has claimed in many interviews that he spends $10,000 a month on cannabis, and also smokes daily. As of early 2014, Khalifa no longer pays for cannabis and is sponsored by ‘The Cookie Company’, a medical maryj dispenser which sells his "Khalifa Kush" (KK) strain, which he partnered with RiverRock Cannabis to create.” Guess he feels like sharing his passion with the world, including the paps!
6 Anna Faris
Gorgeous funny girl and Chris Pratt’s wife doesn't see the big deal about paparazzi. She said, “I don’t know if my husband would necessarily agree, but most of them are pretty nice guys, just trying to make a living, and a lot of them are apologetic.” She went on to say, “I think some celebrities are so mean to them and resent them so much. I mostly feel scared just going out without makeup on. But at the same time, I don’t want it to force a lifestyle change. Some people I work with wish that I would start dressing nicer. They’re like, ‘Can you please not wear sweatpants everywhere you go?’ So this is very dressed up for me today. But yeah, the scary part is that vulnerability of like, ‘Oh man, I’m gonna be in ‘Stars Without Makeup’ again!” Sounds like the lovely and adorable Anna Faris has a relaxed approach when it comes to the paparazzi.
5 Adam Levine
The lead singer of Maroon 5 (and certified hottie) Adam Levine has come to terms with the fact that sometimes the paparazzi is necessary. Of being photographed, he has said, “It is a two-way street, and it is a two-way street in the way that you look at it. People want to be famous for some reason, for me, I wanted to be a successful singer, it had less to do with fame. If you’re going to be on television, if you’re going to be a singer, if you’re going to be an actor, there’s gonna be a lot of this that comes with it.” It definitely looks like Adam has resigned himself to the fact that with a singing career comes the paparazzi. He knows it is an important part of fame and does not hold too much of a grudge against the paps. We will have to see if his opinion stays the same now that he has a kid! But we do have to admit that we love staring at his super cute face.

While the gorgeous Selena Gomez probably does not exactly enjoy the paparazzi per se, she has one tool under her belt that makes them more tolerable. That tool is confidence. "I never care about the paparazzi,” she was quoted as saying. “I never think of them in any spectrum of my life because I don’t care what I look like." When you do not care about the paparazzi getting an unflattering shot of you, it is probably easier to just ignore them. Selena has had her fair share of the paparazzi, especially when she was in a high-profile relationship with the ridiculously famous Justin Bieber for years. But she was getting attention before that when she was starring on the hit Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place. She also dated Nick Jonas, which definitely got her name out there. But as of now, Selena gets photographed just for being Selena.
3 Grant Gustin
If you don't recognize this handsome face, let us introduce you to one of the biggest hotties on television right now. Grant Gustin stars in the action show The Flash on the CW, and he plays the main character. Before that awesome role, he had a recurring role on Glee. So yes, he can sing and dance too. The paparazzi are new to Grant, and he probably does not know how to handle all of this newfound attention. When he caught himself being photographed in these pictures, he decided to sarcastically play it suave like he was posing for the cameras. So he has a good sense of humor, too! In our opinion, this is a much better approach than attacking the paparazzi. You are famous now, so just go with it! Being silly is a great yet innocent way to mess with the paps. This may change over time but for now, it seems like Grant just does not care.
2 Mindy Kaling
Mindy Kaling has a bone to pick with the paparazzi, but it's probably not what you think. Instead of complaining about having a lack of privacy, she complains that the paparazzi are not giving her enough attention! As she explained to Seth Meyers on his late night show, it's hard to compete with her fellow cast members on the set of the film Ocean’s Eight. Who else is starring in this besides Mindy? That would be none other than Rihanna, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock. A lot of big names in there! Mindy claims that the paparazzi do not care about her at all and tend to ignore her in favor of her other cast mates. But if the paparazzi did focus on her, she just would not care at all! In fact, it sounds like she would probably prefer it. Mindy is one of the funniest gals on the scene right now, and she does not take herself too seriously. We bet being photographed would not bother her one bit.
1 Victoria Beckham
The iconic Posh Spice understands that she is a privileged individual, and she does not plan on looking at the negatives of fame, like the paparazzi. She has said about getting her picture taken, “I can’t bear it when people complain about that sort of thing. “It is what it is. It comes with the job if you like, and we are used to it and we have a private life. So I kind of don’t pay too much attention to that side of it really. I’m never going to sit here and say ‘poor me, I’m being followed by photographers,’ are you kidding me? I’m the luckiest woman in the world and I appreciate absolutely, absolutely everything.” We think it is super sweet that Victoria is so grateful about the perks of fame. And this is coming from a woman who has had to deal with a lot of paparazzi. After all, at the height of the Spice Girls’ fame, the pandemonium surrounding them was compared to Beatle-mania! Throughout her career, Victoria has learned it is best to just not give an F.
