There are a lot of shows out there. Gone are the days of three channels. There are so many channels now you couldn't possibly name them all. It would probably take a couple lifetimes to watch every show out there even if you were able to binge watch every day of your life. Some people have tried going the distance, but the human body can only go so long without sleep.

According to Guinness World Records, a man broke the current binge watching world record by watching 86 hours of The Simpsons in 2012. According to The Daily Mail, a man watched the entire run of Friends in a little over 84 hours. In 2014, Guinness listed a group of six participants attempting on behalf of CraveTV as having set the current television marathon viewing record at 91 hours.

It's rather amazing what some people will do for their love of their favorite television shows or television in general. These celebrities may not binge on their favorite shows to such record breaking lengths, but let's go ahead and take a look at what they're watching anyway.

15 Barack Obama

So long as we don't allow our personal political beliefs to cloud our good judgement, one would have to admit that Barack Obama watches some pretty excellent television. Two of the President of the United State's favorite television shows are HBO's The Wire and AMC's Breaking Bad.

The Wire is probably one of the best crime dramas to have ever aired on television and anyone who hasn't seen it is doing a disservice to themselves. Breaking Bad is probably one of the most talked about and universally loved shows to have come out in quite some time.

According to Obama, his tastes in television tend to be a little darker (if you've seen these shows you know he's not kidding) than those of his wife and daughters.

14 Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence has admitted countless times that she has a deep love for reality television. Lawrence once told reporters that once 11 o' clock hits, she worries about missing her favorite shows and starts to think about her couch. Some of the shows she mentions being a huge fan of are Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Real Housewives, and Dance Moms.

More recently, Lawrence told E! that her new favorite show is a British reality/soap opera called The Only Way is Essex (otherwise known as TOWIE). The show has been described as the British equivalent of The Hills or Laguna Beach.

13 Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston has become a rather big name since he took the role of Loki in Marvel's Thor and Avengers series of films. Since then, we've seen him in films like the recent Crimson Peak from Guillermo del Toro and as American country music legend Hank Williams in the biopic I Saw the Light. You'll be seeing him again as Loki in Thor: Ragnarok.

In an interview with Just Jared, Tom Hiddleston revealed his all-time favorite show to be a 1970's British sit-com known as Fawlty Towers. The show features John Cleese of Monty Python fame as an incompetent hotel owner that tries to manage the place with his wife. It's a classic, and if you get the chance, give it a shot.

12 Emma Stone

Emma Stone is right up there with Jennifer Lawrence as one of America's sweethearts when it comes to current leading ladies.

While being interview on The Tonight Show in 2012, Stone told Jay Leno she was going to be filming a cameo for one of her all time favorite shows - iCarly.

Jay clarified that this was a show directed at tweens, but apparently Stone is a big fan of the shows made by iCarly creator Dan Schneider. Some of his other shows include the popular Nickelodeon sketch shows All That and The Amanda Show, both of which are favorites of Emma's as well.

11 Angelina Jolie

It's amazing to hear that Angelina Jolie watches television at all. Where does she find the time? She has a large family that includes a number adopted children, she's always acting in some project, she does a good deal of humanitarian work, and she seems to always be traveling to make time for these things. This lack of real time might be why Jolie's viewing habits are more ambiguous. Jolie doesn't sight specific shows so much as she tunes in to certain channels. The main channels? Animal Planet and the Game Show Network.

Jolie has mentioned one show specifically by name though and it's more unbelievable than Emma Stone watching iCarly. Angelina is a big fan of the Mike Judge animated sit-com King of the Hill.

10  Chris Pratt

Chris Pratt is probably one of the most sought after leading men out there since he turned his performance as Star Lord in Marvel's surprise blockbuster hit based on their obscure and virtually unknown Guardians of the Galaxy comic. This has led to Pratt getting some big roles in major franchises. He's rumored to play Indiana Jones in a possible reboot and he's taken on a lead role in the newly revitalized Jurassic Park franchise, starting with Jurassic World.

When Chris Pratt isn't working in majorly successful blockbusters, he likes to watch HBO's Game of Thrones. It's been reported that his favorite character in the series is Arya Stark.

9 Michelle Obama

As we stated earlier, President Barack Obama has darker tastes in television than the rest of his family. So what does the First Lady and her daughters prefer to watch when the family sits down in front of the television together?

They prefer lighter offerings like NBC's Parks and Recreation and ABC's Modern Family. Both shows are comedies that utilize a mock-reality show format.

Mrs. Obama personally enjoys Scandal starring Kerry Washington.

8 Kim Kardashian

It would appear that Kim Kardashian prefers true life stories over fictitious tales. Kardashian has said that he favorite shows aren't the mega-popular and highly talked about series like The Walking Dead or Breaking Bad, but rather shows like Dateline, Forensic Files, and How I Survived....

Everyone can probably related to Kim's love for Forensic Files. The show hasn't aired for four years, but the reruns still air constantly and we're all probably guilty of stopping on a mini-marathon or binge watching the Netflix collection of episodes. Kim could tune into the ID Channel and never have to change it to get a non-stop offering of the kind of shows she likes.

7 Zooey Deschanel

Zooey Deschanel had mainly been acting in movies before she began starring in her own television, New Girl, show on FOX.

Making the transition from film to television was an easy decision for Zooey thanks to her favorite show. She has said that watching an episode of Tina Fey's 30 Rock made her notice that television can make some great shows, and to work on a show like it could be a lot of fun. Not only does she enjoy the show, but it pushed her into making a great show as well.

6  Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum is a huge Game of Thrones fan. It also goes a little bit further than that. According to an article in Harper's Bazaar, Tatum once approached Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke at an awards show and told her that he and his wife call each other "moon of my life" and "my sun and stars". Clarke was pretty excited by the encounter and said the three of them should do something sexual together, "even if it was just a hug".

Later on, the encounter was brought up on the Howard Stern Show and Tatum was asked if he would enjoy a threesome of Clarke and his wife. He didn't rule it out!

5 Mindy Kaling

Mindy Kaling has a pretty awesome show herself. The fourth season of The Mindy Project was recently picked up as a Hulu original series. What does someone who stars in a great show watch when they turn on the television?

Mindy Kaling has tweeted her current favorite show is The Charmichael Show starring comedian Jerrod Carmichael. The show is rated favorably on IMDb and has been picked up for a second season by NBC.

4 Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham, creator and writer for her popular HBO series Girls, has joined a number of people in tuning into Hulu recently and checking out the rather fine roster of original programming they've been creating. In addition to bringing over shows like Chris O'Dowd's Moone Boy and picking up new seasons of cancelled shows, Hulu has offered up some original comedies of their own. Dunham is currently a big fan of Difficult People, starring Billy Eichner of Billy on the Street and comedian Julie Klausner. If you haven't watched Difficult People, you really need to. It's a hidden gem.

3 Miley Cyrus

Speaking of originals on the Hulu streaming service, the Netflix streaming service has been making excellent original programs for a number of years now. One of their more recent offerings is Grace and Frankie, a series about two women that forge a bond after they find out that their husbands are secretly lovers. Not only is the show very favorably reviewed, but it turns out Miley Cyrus has been spreading the good word and tweeting about the program to her followers on Twitter.

2 Rihanna

It seems that just about everyone was a huge fan of AMC's Breaking Bad. The AMC network has been hitting quite a few home runs when it comes to creating shows that absolutely everyone is talking about.

It turns out, you can add Rihanna to the list of people that fell in love with the tale of Walter White. Rihanna is probably pretty upset that the rumors about Vince Gilligan returning to AMC for a sixth season of Breaking Bad do not appear to be true. Of course, Bryan Cranston has said "never say never" when asked about a revival of the series.

1 Amy Schumer

Amy Schumer has taken comedy by storm with her stand-up specials, her show Inside Amy Schumer, and her recent jump into film with Trainwreck, co-starring Bill Hader.

Schumer has been tweeting some support for her co-star by tweeting about how much she loves his new IFC comedy Documentary Now!.  The series spoofs well known documentaries like The Thin Blue Line and Grey Gardens. Bill Hader and co-creator Fred Armisen came up with the idea when they were filming a This Is Spinal Tap style documentary about a fictional British punk band when they worked together on Saturday Night Live.
