We understand why a celebrity would try and keep their kids' lives private. We absolutely get why celebrities would want to keep their kids' lives out of the public eye as best as they can. But dang it, they are just so cute! Some kids are kept out of the spotlight as much as possible and others are brought to movie premieres or awards shows. Like anything else in life, it's all about balance. You want to show off your child (just scroll through your Facebook feed and we will know this is true!) but you don't want to exploit them either. The fact is, celeb kids live a very awesome, privileged life, and sometimes even become stars as they age! (Hey Miley Cyrus!) Most celebs want to keep their kids as grounded as possible, though. So, they socialize them in regular schools or hanging out with friends. Okay, okay, maybe some of these “friends” are famous too. Take a look at some kids you might not have known about!

15 Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner were an adorable couple... or maybe they still are because they are supposedly currently working things out! But they have some pretty cute offspring. Violet (who is eleven), Seraphina (who is seven), and Samuel (who is four) are all loved and adored by their movie star parents. Ben even describes the birth of his children as one of the defining moments of his life. That means a lot considering he is famous! He has said, “In my career or otherwise, it is the birth of my children. The entrance of my children into the world. It’s a joy to hang out with them. I think the meaning of life is to make good people,” he said. Jennifer even told Vanity Fair that Violet sleeps with her sometimes: “I’m happy to have her; she’s happy to have me." So sweet! While the divorce was hard for Jennifer, she plans to stay friends with Ben for the sake of her children. She has said, "It’s not Ben’s job to make me happy. The main thing is these kids—and we’re completely in line with what we hope for them. Sure, I lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding. But you should see their faces when he walks through the door. And if you see your kids love someone so purely and wholly, then you’re going to be friends with that person.”

14 Gwen Stefani

This unique singer has three children with her ex-husband, who is also a musician from the band Bush. Although they are no longer together, they have three adorable kids: Kingston James McGregor Rossdale, 10, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale, 8, and Apollo Bowie Flynn Rossdale, 2. Must be a crazy household with three little boys running around! Gwen Stefani’s split was messy with a custody battle, ultimately ending in shared custody of the three boys. Gwen told Ellen DeGeneres that three boys can get a little stressful: "It gets crazy. Everybody knows that 4-8 at night is like chaos. It's like the crazy time in our house. The other day we were driving home and I was thinking, 'OK Motel 6. If I can just find one and go there and disappear -- disappear from my life.' But no, they're incredible." We are sure that every mother feels that way at one point or another!

13 Pete Wentz And Ashlee Simpson

Remember when Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson were married?! They were the power-rock couple of the 2000s. Though they eventually parted ways, they are still happily co-parenting their son, Bronx Mowgli Wentz. He was given the name “Bronx” because that was the city he was conceived in, and “Mowgli” because Pete really likes “The Jungle Book”, and Mowgli was the name of the main character! Unique name aside, he is a perfect mixture of both parents. He has curly hair like Pete (who usually flat-irons it) and blonde hair like Ashlee. Pete, who has bipolar disorder, actually credits having children to helping in his recovery. He refers to his kids (he has a second with girlfriend Megan Camper) as “the ultimate happy pill.” He has said, "My highs, my happiness are really high and my lows are very low and I'm not able to regulate between the two. Through actual therapy and having kids it's way more under control and something I can see when I'm on the roller coaster and control it more."

12 Nicole Kidman

It seems crazy to think Nicole Kidman was with Tom Cruise at one point! But it's totally true! Although it sounds ridiculous now, they were together for a long time and even adopted a child together, Isabella Jane, born in 1992. Isabella tends to go by “Bella” by her parents. The couple later adopted Connor Anthony, born in 1995. Adopting children was a no-brainer for Nicole. She was once quoted as saying, “My mother has an adopted sister, so it's been part of our family and I knew it would probably play out somewhere in mine. I didn't think it would happen so early but it did.” As time went on, it became obvious that Keith Urban was her true love. In 2008, Keith and Nicole had Sunday Rose. Now 8, Sunday Rose seems to be following in her mother’s footsteps -- she’s starring in her school play this year! We think that is super adorable. After Sunday Rose came Faith Margaret, born in 2010.

11 Charlie Sheen

Charlie Sheen certainly is not going to win any humanitarian awards anytime soon, but he does have children, primarily cared for by his ex-wives, Denise Richards and Brooke Mueller. He had his first child with high-school sweetheart Paula Profit back in 1984. Named Cassandra Jade, she has provided Charlie with one granddaughter, Luna. He married Denise Richards in 2002 and they had two children, Sam J. Sheen and Lola Rose Sheen. The couple split in 2005, resulting in a crazy custody battle. Poor kids! Charlie married Brooke Mueller in 2008, and they had two children as well, Bob and Max, who are twins. This resulted in ANOTHER custody battle where Brooke obtained a restraining order against Charlie and declared him insane. When People magazine asked Charlie if he would fight for the children, he simply texted them back saying “Born ready. Winning.” And thus a catchphrase was born! We hope all these children grow up relatively happy and healthy despite their tumultuous childhoods.

10 Christina Aguilera

This powerful vocalist has two children -- one with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman, and one with her fiancé Matthew Rutler. Her son, Max Liron, is eight years old and her daughter, Summer Rain, is a year old. Despite her busy schedule, Christina insists that her children are her priority and feels guilty when she can’t always be there for them. She has told the press, “They are the center of my universe. It’s definitely not easy juggling work and motherhood, as being a parent is a full-time job within itself. You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the center focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.” She continued, “It’s hard to know you won’t have all the right answers at the right times. And ‘mom guilt’ is the worst thing ever. But you have to surrender and let go, knowing you’re doing your very best and no one loves them or wants what’s best for them more than you.”

9 Hilary Duff

Hilary Duff is all grown up... and she has a child to boot! She married NHL Hockey Player Mike Comrie in 2010, and they had a child, Luca Cruz Comrie in March of 2012. Unfortunately, Hilary and her man ended up splitting, but many paparazzi pictures will show you that they are committed to co-parenting little Luca, going on outings together and being a happy family. It is definitely great to see parents putting their children first. A small scandal broke out when Hilary posted a photo of her kissing Luca on the lips. C’mon guys, he’s her kid and he’s only four years old, what’s the big deal?! Well, it became a big deal in the press, resulting in Hilary having to defend her mothering choices. “For anyone commenting that a kiss on the lips with my four-year-old is 'inappropriate' go ahead and click a quick unfollow with your warped minds and judgment,” she posted on Instagram.

8 Matthew Broderick And Sarah Jessica Parker

This sweet couple has been going strong since 1997. In 2002, they had their first child, James Wilkie Broderick. James has already proven his independence: while his father is a fan of the New York Mets and his mother a fan of the New York Yankees, James is a fan of the Boston Red Sox! Matthew and Sarah later had twin daughters via surrogate, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge in 2009. The names “Elwell” and “Hodge” came from Sarah’s ancestors on her mother’s side. Despite being twins, Sarah insists that the girls have very different personalities. She has said, "Tabitha’s very, very outgoing, but physically she’s very shy. She shakes in elevators; it’s very sweet, like Bambi. [Loretta] is pale, like my husband, with piercing blue eyes. But she’s physically bold. I think it’s funny how much she looks like my husband, except then I look at Loretta and she has my husband’s mouth and sort of sad eyes, you know the kind that go down? The Broderick eyes. They both really look like him.”

7 Heidi Klum And Seal

Heidi Klum and Seal seemed to be total #relationshipgoals, but unfortunately, they broke up. Before the breakup, however, they had four children. Well, three technically -- Heidi was pregnant with a former beau’s child when she began dating Seal, and the biological father was not even there for the birth. Seal was. Now that is commitment! Helene “Leni” Klum was born in 2004, and Seal raised her as his own. In 2009, he officially adopted her. Heidi and Seal made it official and tied the knot on May 10th, 2005. They have three biological children: Henry Günther Ademola Dashtu Samuel, born in 2005, Johan Riley Fyodor Taiwo Samuel, born in 2006, and Lou Sulola Samuel, born in 2009. Like Hilary Duff and her ex, Heidi and Seal seem dedicated to raising the children as normally as possible despite the split. Heidi is known to attend family dinners -- without her boyfriend and with Seal. Very admirable!

6 Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba and Cash Warren have two children: Honor, age seven and Haven, age four. Jessica, a proud Latina, tries her hardest to keep her children connected to their heritage: "I make sure they know where they came from and that they spend time with their relatives, but they're not surrounded by it all the time. We have different cultures in the house. They know how to ask for besos [kisses] and leche [milk]. "They are going to be global citizens and will need to understand many languages, including Spanish, to make a difference in the world." Jessica is so serious about parenthood and safety that she created The Honest Company, a line of non-toxic household products, primarily for babies. They sell products for diapering, feeding, and more. Jessica has told the media, "When I became a mom, I finally became the person I am, that I always should have been. It's the most satisfying job in the world. But, it can also be overwhelming and confusing. I created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start."

5 Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr

Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr made probably one of the most gorgeous couples in the industry today. Of course, it IS the entertainment industry, so they did eventually break up. Luckily, before the split, they were able to put their gorgeous genes together and create a child, Flynn Christopher Bloom. Like the celebrity couples before them, they also prioritized normalcy for their son. Miranda has said, “Orlando and I were living in New York, and we loved it there. But we were considering what the best options were for our son. Orlando owned a place in Malibu, and he was saying that he wanted to move here. We thought it would be a better lifestyle for Flynn. He could be outside playing year-round, playing in the sand. We could have a garden." Aw, sweet! Even sweeter, Miranda bought a place in Malibu so the family could be close. “I started looking for houses because we wanted to be close as a family,” she said.

4 Joel Madden And Nicole Richie

Joel Madden and Nicole Richie started dating in 2006 and walked down the aisle in 2010. They have two children -- a daughter named Harlow Winter Kate Madden who was born in 2008, and a son named Sparrow James Midnight Madden who was born in 2009. Nicole has explained to the press that Sparrow is just like daddy: "My son likes to dress like his dad." She also stated in a Father's Day Instagram post that she hope Sparrow grows up to be just like Joel: "Thank you for making me a mommy…Thank you for encouraging our children to be human instead of perfect. And thank you for your unconditional love, patience, & acceptance. I hope our son turns out to be just like you. #happyfathersday @joelmadden." As for their daughter Harlow, she is not interested in the fame and fortune her parents have acquired. She has told the media, "She’s a little more reserved. She’ll hang out on the bus and do art. The bus is awesome."

3 Matthew McConaughey

Actor Matthew McConaughey married model Camila Alves in 2012. They have three children: Levi Alves McConaughey (born in 2008), Livingston Alves McConaughey (born in 2012),  and Vida Alves McConaughey (born in 2010). Matthew has said, “We have got three healthy kids. Wife does not want to change me and that is a hell of a deal. I do not want to change her. We respect each other and we’re doing the best we can." Matthew revealed the children’s Christmas habits as well: his daughter, he claims, is on Santa’s nice list. He once said in an interview, "One of my children wants a unicorn. She has been wanting a unicorn each Christmas and I haven’t been able to find it yet, but I’m still looking. So that is not the easiest purchase. We will see if we can find it this year." It sounds like he is an amazing father!

2 Hugh Jackman

Hugh Jackman hasn’t fallen prey to the Hollywood curse yet -- he and his wife Deborra-Lee Furness have been married since 1996. That’s eons in Hollywood years. Together, they adopted two children: Oscar Maximilian Jackman, born in May of 2000, and Ava Eliot Jackman born in July 2005. Hugh does not see the kids as “adopted” though. He has said, "From the moment we started the adoption process, all the anxiety went away. I don’t think of them as adopted – they’re our children. Deb and I are believers in I suppose you could call it destiny. We feel things happened the way they are meant to. Obviously, biologically wasn’t the way we were meant to have children.” This last part was in reference to the fertility issues the couple had trying to conceive a biological child. He has spoken about the "anxiety" that surrounds trying to get pregnant and wondering if you really will be able to make your dream of having a family come true.

1 Reese Witherspoon

America’s sweetheart Reese Witherspoon has three children. Ava Elizabeth (born in 1999) and Deacon Reese (born in 2003) both call Ryan Phillipe dad. Reese has a son Tennessee James, born in 2012, with Jim Toth. Reese and Ryan got married in 1999 and broke up in 2006. They still love both their children to death, though. Like the couples before on this list, Reese and Ryan work together to raise their children despite the separation. Ryan once said, “You have to get to that point as a divorced parent, as any parent, where you’re not putting yourself first. You want the kids’ experience to be its own and not like, ‘Well, I need to have my time!’ We have been very good about that.” How do they manage to do that? Ryan has said, "As a divorced dad, we trade off. Last year, my kids and I went to my parents in Delaware, this year they will be with their mom and I am shooting a movie up in Toronto." Sounds like a great plan!
