With Hollywood being chock-full of stunning female celebrities, it's no surprise that these women make just as stunning brides once their time comes to slip into their glamorous dream wedding gowns and make their way down the aisle.
Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara was the latest celebrity to tie the knot, marrying Magic Mike star, Joe Manganiello, in a lavish ceremony this past weekend. She looked absolutely radiant in her Zuhair Murad Couture dress, but she’s not the only celebrity in Hollywood who’s got the bridal gene down pat—here’s our list of 14 stars who made the most stunning brides.
14 Sofia Vergara
Wearing a Zuhair Murad Couture dress that featured a hand-embroidered bodice and contained 11 pounds of sequins and six pounds of pearls, the Modern Family star looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day to Magic Mike star, Joe Manganiello. The dress she wore had been made by 32 people, totaling 1,657 hours of work.
She completed her gorgeous bridal wear with 55-carat Lorraine Schawrtz diamond earrings, violet lipstick and her hair parted to the side with a diamond hair clip.
13 Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian has had plenty of experience with being a stunning bride. First, there was the marriage to her music producer boyfriend when she was only 20. Then, there was the infamous 72-day marriage to basketball star, Kris Humphries, which ended badly yet led to a happy ending with her marrying rapper Kayne West last year.
She’s looked gorgeous during all her weddings, but nothing compared to the princess-inspired look she wore to her wedding with Kris Humphries, which, of course, was televised on her family’s reality TV show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. She wore a strapless Vera Wang ball gown, pairing it with slicked back hair, lots of jewelry and a gorgeous diamond headpiece.
12 Kate Middleton
Now who could forget the televised nuptials between Kate Middleton and Prince William—the 2 billion people who tuned in certainly couldn’t. Viewers watched as Kate Middleton transformed into the Duchess of Cambridge before their eyes, looking princess-like in her gown designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. Kate played a close role in bringing her dream dress to life, the finished product featuring English and French Chantilly lace, which she paired with Alexander McQueen shoes.
11 Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad, the living breathing fashion inspiration herself, made for a stunning bride during her California wedding to lawyer William Tell. She wore two wedding gowns during the day (both of which were #Pinterestworthy). She wore a custom Badgley Mischka dress for the ceremony, and then slipped into a gorgeous lace strapless Monique Lhuiller wedding dress for the reception. It featured a slim belt to accentuate the mermaid shape of the gown, and the relaxed fit made it easier to drink, be merry and dance the night away.
10 Whitney Port
Another The Hills alum, Whitney Port, got married recently and looked gorgeous while doing so. With her intensive background in fashion (she has her own line: Whitney Eve), she stunned while marrying her fiancé Tim Rosenman in Palm Springs, California on Saturday November 7th.
The pair opted for a “modern take” on a traditional wedding, which went fitting with the dress that Whitney helped design with Ashi Studio. The front fell just above her knees and was embroidered with off-white pearls and featured a one-metre train. Her hair was more simplistic, pulled back into a half-bun half-pony.
9 Bar Refaeli
The Israeli supermodel could look gorgeous in anything, and her wedding dress was no exception. The Sports Illustrated model wed her fiancé Adi Ezra dressed in a floor-length flowy Chloè dress with lace detailing and tassels throughout. She went sans veil and paired her dress with her hair half up in twists pulled to the side and pretty drop earrings, letting her natural beauty shine.

She looked as stunning as any bride could be in her custom-made Claire Pettibone beaded gown with gorgeous delicate lace sleeves. While speaking of her dress, she said, “Claire was an absolute dream to work with. Not only is she an amazing designer, but she has the most wonderful energy. We were on the same page from the moment we met.” She paired the look with her hair in her signature half-up, half-down look.
7 Ashlee Simpson
After her first marriage was done in a lavish Alice in Wonderland theme, she went a much more Boho-inspired route for her second wedding, this time to Hunger Games star, Evan Ross. She wore a long-sleeved Aligote crop top decorated in pearls and a lace Macabeau skirt. For the reception, she changed out of her dress and into a Houghton Bride crop top pant suit. Her blonde hair was curled with gorgeous braids on both sides and rocked out some bling with her Neil Lane diamond earrings, reportedly worth $750K.
6 Nicky Hilton
The Hilton heiress wed English banker James Rothschild at Kensington Palace in London this past summer wearing a gorgeous long-sleeved Valentino Couture gown that was embellished with crystals and went right up in a turtle-neck style.
Her veil featured a similar design to her dress and her blonde hair was parted down the middle and pulled back into an elegant bun.
5 Jessica Biel
A unique dress color choice was Jessica Biel's, when she chose to walk down the aisle in pink. She looked absolutely stunning and this color choice was a big hit with the media, making headlines such as 'Jessica Biel's Wedding Dress Makes The Colored Bridal Gown Trend Official' by The Huffington Post. Biel and Timberlake were married in Italy back in 2012 and the world was happy to see these two finally tie the knot. When asked why she chose this dress color and style this is what the actress had to say:
“I wanted the dress to be very romantic and feminine and a shape that I very rarely wear. I have never been crazy about all-white wedding dresses, for me at least. [Giambattista Valli] had created that same fabric in a fuchsia-and-pink combination for a dress in a previous collection, and I asked him if he could create that same pattern in a white combination, and he suggested pink. It was a bit of a leap of faith at the time, but it turned out better than I could have ever imagined. [Putting it on], I felt like I had made the right choice. I felt elegant. And it moved like a dream.” - The Huffington Post.
4 Olivia Palermo
The City alum is known for her flawless style, and she brought all this and more to the stunning look she wore on her wedding day to fiancé, Johannes Huebl. She wore an untraditional ensemble with all three pieces being designed by her favourite designer, Carolina Herrera. She paired a cream cashmere sweater with white shorts styled with a skirt overlay that had ostrich feathers and a clinched satin and silk waist.
When talking about her makeup, she said, “I wanted the makeup to be light and fresh and more focused about the lashes while keeping the eyes clean. My hair was in an uncontrived Pony Tail, one of my favorite personal looks.”
3 Tina Knowles
Even her gorgeous daughter, Beyoncè, couldn’t outshine Tina Knowles on her wedding day. It was last April when the momma bear of the Knowles clan wed Richard Lawson in a flowing white dress with a gold belt that accentuated her waist. Her hair was down and wavy with blonde highlights within her brown hair.
Surprisingly, she went the untraditional route as every women in her wedding party, including her two daughters Beyoncè and Solange, wore white dresses.
2 Kaley Cuoco
Her marriage to tennis player Ryan Sweeting may have recently ended, but that doesn’t take away the fact that she was a stunning bride on her wedding day. For one, she wore a pink princess-like Vera Wang gown, which she paired with her stylish look with her signature beachy blonde waves. And second, the pair wed on New Years Eve, ringing the new year in with lots of romance.
