You can find almost anything on YouTube. YouTube has become an outlet, a place where you can share a story, etc. At this point it has become one of the things we can’t live without. Much like food, America was built on it. There's practically a fast food chain or restaurant on every block. You can't tell me that we don't love our food no matter how critical the fries can be to our thighs, we have a hard time putting the plate down. Not to mention the fact that we need food to survive. So what do the two have in common? Nothing, until wholesome Americans decided to combine two of the things they love: YouTube and eating. I know what you are probably thinking, you have got to be kidding me but kid you not; the act of watching people eat is actually explained by science. But when people are viewing these videos, it isn't so much the seeing it, but the hearing it. This sensation is called ASMR which is an experience characterized by a pleasurable tingling sensation when you hear certain words and/or sounds. So many videos you will see will probably have something to do with ASMR and the other 75 percent will be a “mukbang” which consists of eating large quintiles of food in front of a broadcast. Both of these experiences derived from South Korea and to that we say thank you, South Koreans think of everything. Here is a list of 13 girls who eat on YouTube and are winning for it.

13 The Diva

Meet Park Seo-Yeon who makes $9,000 a month eating on camera. The 34 year old who goes by the nickname “the Diva” is one of South Korea's top culinary bloggers. Though fans do pay a lot of attention to the way the Diva eats, it is more than just the sensory stimulation. Her channel is also a cooking show. She says a lot of the people who watch her show live alone so when they watch videos of her eating, it makes them feel as if they are eating with a friend. Viewers suggest what they want the Diva to eat and how they want her to eat it and through the requests that is how she is paid. Yeah, I would quit my day job too. The diva quit her job as a consultant for her promising Youtube channel. She actually makes a sh*t load of money eating (which we love).

12 Wendy

I think most of us struggle to like ourselves when overeating but that doesn’t seem to be a problem for everyone. Especially Wendy, whose channel has 149,853 subscribers and has accumulated 12,595,406 views to date. Traditionally in ASMR videos the voice should be low so that you can focus on the sound. With that being said, Wendy dedicates some of her videos to ASMR, but seems to focus more on the simple pleasure of broadcasting herself eating large quantities of food while interacting with her audience. I call that cheat day at the Taco Bell right next to the Planet Fitness but in Korea that definition actually translates to “Mukbang” which loosely means ‘food broadcast’. Wendy began her eating show just a year ago so it is amazing to see how many followers she’s gathered. Maybe my subscribe button is hidden because I can’t even get one.

11 Keemi

Keemi joined YouTube in September of 2015 and has managed to rack up a sum of 394,833 subscribers with a total view of 68,604,298. When asked to write a summary of herself for her audience, the only thing she wrote is “I just like cooking and eating.. That’s it….” For a girl that seems so cheerful and talkative, she doesn’t really say much. But maybe that’s why she’s made a living in ASMR, maybe she feels that she needs to focus on the sounds she makes instead of her own voice. Most of the foods Keemi will cook and eat on the show are Korean but she will try something different every once in a while. She’ll even take breaks from cooking by visiting Popeye’s or KFC for dinner, she just has to make sure her dog is nowhere around. The little guy goes crazy for fried chicken.

10 SassEsnacks

“SassEsnacks” categorizes her foods, having different brands and collective dishes for every new video. So you might just see a KFC ASMR or a sushi mukbang. This channel doesn’t discriminate; all foods are ASMR approved. The page in which has 151,001 subscribers was started in January of 2014. Almost 3 years to date, but I’m sure a pro like SassE has been eating and whispering since she was a little girl. And in true pro fashion, SassE has two pages. Her second page in which she calls “SassEkrafts ASMR” was only started a few months ago has already accumulated 10,133 subscribers with a total of views 185,792. Because people with ASMR do way more than just eat quietly, they craft quietly and then eat it in more quietness. It is definitely as relaxing and calming as you might think.

9 Meesh LA

Meesh LA says “I like to shove food into my face” and her 55,738 subscribers support her in doing that. Actually 55,739 after I subscribe. For having started vlogging in March and gaining a total 4,872,939 views, this girl is living the American dream. From the Cheesecake Factory, to Panda Express from In N Out, Meesh has been everywhere and has eaten almost everything on YouTube. Meesh LA is only 22 videos in so far, but I see a lot in store for the fellow YouTuber. With videos that consist of witty banter, story times, friends, some cooking, recipes and lots and tons of food, there’s no wonder that this YouTube page is so popular. And she’s only beginning. Meesh LA’s fans give her suggestions and requests, whether it is eat more sweets or more junk foods, she eats it all.

8 Eating with Chunky

Most of these girls have the metabolism of lightning. It works fast and furiously, but you can’t seriously be eating all this food and have it disappear. That’s why we appreciate the plus fabulous ladies who eat well and don’t apologize for it or their lady curves. It’s not easy to admit that you may be a bit chunky but that isn’t hard at all for our next YouTuber who refers to herself as just that, meet ‘Chunky’. And with 83,780 subscribers and 9,377,279 views, Chunky’s packing in a lot of areas. Chunky may love to eat but isn’t opposed to sharing, whether it is her boyfriend or little brother, she’s happy to share the wealth. What makes Chunky so lovable is her frankness. She doesn’t hold back and is very unapologetic. She curses up a storm and doesn’t stop for no one.

7 Mommy Tang

Mommy Tang has a plant based Asian kitchen where she only eats (mostly) Korean foods that are vegan. With all the cooking and eating that she does, you would think diet is the furthest word from her mind, but MommyTang was actually on one. She lost over 40 pounds with the diet. She definitely is doing something right. Tang joined in November of 2014 and now has 321,021 subscribers. Her videos receive a total 48,950,018 views. She deserves the title of mother; she’s been around the YouTube block for a few times now, having 144 videos under her belt. MommyTang only shares vegan recipes and cooks and eats food that are Korean based but every once in a while she sneaks in some non-Asian or junk foods. Tang has a great sense of humor and shows it off in every video.

6 Divine Munchies

Divine Munchies encourages her viewers to grab their favorite dish and come eat with her. But regardless of if you have any food of your own, just come and enjoy the eating show anyway. Divine Munchies channel is in part mukbang in part for the ASMR viewers and in part the occasional food challenge. She does so much, it’s surprising she gets it all done and still manages 20,715 subscribers. Divine Munchies started her channel just a few months ago, back in the summer of 2016 but already has a total of 3,494,483 views. Her videos are funny and charismatic. Divine Munchies talks a lot in her videos but that only makes the deal sweeter, it really does feel like you’re eating with a friend. And if that isn’t cute enough she even has a name for her fans, she calls them “munchlings.”

5 Hungry Cakes

A veteran in the game: Hungry Cakes started her channel Oct 9, 2011 and has a steady group of 74,313 subscribers – not too shabby. Her ASMR/eating sounds/whispering/eating show/mukbang has accrued 14,387,908 views and counting. Just watching her makes me gain 5 pounds. From KFC, to noodles, to spaghetti, and Taco Bell etc., she’s tried it and loved it. She has a pretty big appetite. If you look at her channel you will see videos of some of the nosiest foods like crunchy everything, which I guess is kind of the point. For a girl who doesn’t say much, she sure is loud. Her videos consist of sounds, more sounds, and lots of whispering. But she isn’t shy at all depending on the video you will hear her regular speaking voice; we love her cheerfulness, her excitement makes us excited.

4 ASMR Eats

ASMR Eats is definitely the newbie of the group. She starting 4 months ago, but she’s gone a good way with 10,331 subscribers. So far ASMR Eats has a total of 1,223,285 views. She isn’t much for words as she spends most of the video silent or whispering, but she wont hesitate to tell you “that this [black bean noodle, burger, KFC etc.,] is the best thing ever.” She calls her show an eating show but it’s not just your average mukbang. She’s all about the sensory meridian response and what the sounds triggers for her audience. She doesn’t give much description to her page but she is just as noisy as the rest with even less words. Her show consists of little to no words used and lots of sounds. Didn’t realize chewing with our mouths closed could be so noisy, huh.

3 Anne Litchi

ANNELITCHI likes to talk and eat. So she definitely came to the right place. A fresh face to the world of YouTube and to our computer screens, Anne began her page just 2 months ago. But she started on a great foot because as of today Anne has 1,951 subscribers and 231,663 views. Anne’s love for making recipes and cooking is what started the channel. But it is her desire to share that with an audience that really keeps the show going. Annie created the show for “mukbang” purposes, but it is more than that. She cooks, follows recipes, and eats breakfast, lunch, and dinner. She also enjoys having story time with the audience and chatting and connecting with her viewers. Anne Posts on Mondays and Fridays. But if you want more frequent videos from the YouTuber then she encourages you to "Like" and "subscribe" in support.

2 Food Tales

Food tales consists of two besties eating a ton of food together. What can be better than that? In 2 more months the girls will make a year of their super successful vlog, that’s what. These girls are strictly here for the foodies of the world, so it is mukbang everyday. Trinity and Bo vlog separately but come together to make these fun and food filled videos just for us. And all 81,629 of their subscribers are thoroughly enjoying it. The girls combined have a total of 13,172,784 views. Both girls have a solid group of fans, but together they are a force to be reckoned with. Bo’s personal page is of course about food solidifying her passion for eating. However Trinity’s page is actually about drawing. That is right the girl is not only an expert eater but also an artist.

1 Kelly

Kelly Mckenzie loves her food so much that she posts twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Her show is a typical mukbang/eating show but what sets her apart is how sweet and fun she is. Kelly started her channel July 8, 2013 and has 9,057 subscribers. So she definitely isn’t a stranger to managing her own channel. However she only has a total of 36 videos, which means Kelly owes us some extra mukbangs for all the time she missed. So far she’s had a total of 1,164,331 views. Kelly’s steady group of subscribers come for the food and the banter but stay for her bright personality. Kelly’s even decided to start another channel called “More Kelly” where she vlogs about her daily life. Whether it is breakfast, lunch, or dinner or any restaurant you can think of, she has eaten it.
