Many celebrities seem to have insanely busy lives and many romantic relationships (and relationship failures too, of course). There are a lot of stars out there who started young and didn't just date but also jumped into marriage. Most of the teen weddings in Hollywood didn't last, but they still make pretty interesting throwback stories. Here are 13 celebs who got married at super young ages and why things didn't work out... and one young marriage that actually did work out, despite the odds.

13 Kim Kardashian

Most of us know all about Kim Kardashian's televised and failed marriage to basketball player Kris Humphries before she settled into wedded bliss and family life with Kanye West, but did you know she was married even before that? Kim actually got married at the young age of 20 to a successful music producer named Damon Thomas. Their 2004 divorce was reportedly a messy one, although not as messy as it could have been since she wasn't yet famous. Some reports say that Damon called Kim a "compulsive shopper." Well, that's not hard to believe.

12 Kate Hudson

Kate Hudson was 21 when she married her first husband, frontman of the band The Black Crowes, Chris Robinson. They were together for seven years and had one son. They were there for each other on her film shoots and his tours, but ultimately called it quits citing "irreconcilable differences."

11 Olivia Wilde

Talk about a fairy tale: at 19, the actress married an Italian prince named Tao Ruspoli. They actually made it for a while -- from 2003 to 2011. Today she's married to Jason Sudeikis with whom she has a child, but she wasn't super confident about their future when they first met and actually was insecure about whether or not she was his type.

10 Uma Thurman

Uma Thurman got married for the first time at 20 to her State of Grace co-star Gary Oldman. They were together two years before divorcing in 1992. In 1998, she married Ethan Hawke, who she met on the set of 1997's Gattaca. She has said that she married him because she was pregnant, and they ended up having two kids together. After their divorce was finalized in 2005, Oprah asked Uma if there was any betrayal involved in the split, and she basically said yes.

9 Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson secretly married James DeBarge at the age of 18. Her whole family was shocked by the decision, and record producer/executive John McClain stepped in and convinced her to annul the marriage. John was afraid the marriage would derail her career. It took him eight months to finally convince her.

8 Demi Moore

Demi's last name actually comes from her first husband, musician Freddy Moore. The pair married when she was 17 and stayed together from 1980-85. That ended up being a pretty good stage name, right? Seventeen seems a little young to tie-the-knot but keep in mind that by that point Demi had already dropped out of school to pursue a modeling career and did her first nude shoot shortly thereafter. Her acting career took off from there, and she later married both Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher.

7 Solange Knowles

Beyonce's younger sister Solange was only 17 the first time she got married, but that was already a year after she had released her own first album in the midst of big sisters Destiny's Child fame. The singer then married Daniel Smith in 2004 and had a son with him, before divorcing him and moving to Los Angeles to continue pursuing her singing and acting career. In 2014, she wed music video director Alan Ferguson in a Louisiana wedding.

6 Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich found love on the set of Dazed and Confused at only sixteen. She wed her costar Shawn Andrews, who was her senior at 21 years old. The marriage did not last and the two got annulled shortly after marrying. She later married director Luc Besson, and then director Paul Anderson with whom she had a daughter.

5 Macaulay Culkin

The Home Alone star got married at 18 to Rachel Milner. They were together from 1998-2000 and separated before divorcing in 2002. He was with Mila Kunis for eight years which supposedly ended thanks to his drug abuse, although according to a P.R. statement,  "the split was amicable, and they remain close friends." Since 2013, Macaulay has been in a relationship with All My Children actress Jordan Lane Price, while Mila went on to marry her first kiss and former costar Ashton Kutcher.

4 Leann Rimes

Leann Rimes was only 17 when she got married for the first time to her backup dancer Dean Sheremet. She later was involved in a highly publicized cheating scandal with actor Eddie Cibrian, since they were both in other relationships when they started dating. Leann and Eddie are still happy together today, and although the scandal probably sucked a bit for Dean, he didn't sound entirely surprised that it happened.

3 Melanie Griffith

Melanie Griffith married Don Johnson when she was only 17, but she actually started dating him at the age of 14. He was 22 at the time and costarring with Melanie's mother Tippy in a film. They were only married for six months. She got married again, then divorced, then she reunited with Don in 1989, had their daughter Dakota, separated in 1994, got back together, and then split again in 1995. In 1996 she married Antonio Banderas with whom she has a daughter, and then they also got divorced. Phew.

2 Drew Barrymore

We all know that Drew Barrymore grew up pretty fast as a child star in Hollywood, but besides her time in rehab for alcohol and drug abuse, she also had a pretty active dating life. She got engaged at 16, then got engaged to someone else a year later. At 18, she married bar owner Jeremy Thomas, and then married Tom Green. After many other failed relationships, she eventually settled down and had kids with Will Kopelman. Of her current husband, Drew has said, "It was never really love at first sight. Will struck a lot of my pragmatic sides. He was someone who was always reachable on the phone, someone who was a classy human being, someone who had this incredible blueprint of a family that I don't have." Sounds romantic?

1 Bo Derek

Bo Derek actually got married at sweet sixteen: she met John Derek in 1971 and he basically gave her the good old Hollywood makeover and turned her into a star. They walked down the aisle when she was 18 and he was 48, and they actually stayed together until he died at the age of 71. Although if you skim back through news articles from the 80s it doesn't exactly sound like the marriage was blissful. One gem: "Let's say Bo gets fat. I don't like her fat, so I tell her. I know I'm hard on her, but Bo knows I'm a zillion percent behind her." Hm, okay. These days Bo is with actor John Corbett.
