We all know that when you become famous, there comes a responsibility. Celebrities have been open about this idea because they know many people look up to them so they try their best to be good role models. However, there’s the other side of being a celebrity, where that responsibility is far from their minds.
Some celebrities, especially the women, are just living the life without any consideration of other people. They basically make life look so easy. Usually, it’s these celebs who don’t care about what others think of them and it’s really obvious that’s how they feel. Of course, it’s important to not care about what others think of you but there comes a point where you should for the sake of your reputation.
But not all celebs realize this which in turn makes other girls in general look really bad. It’s fun watching these starlets live their life until it affects us personally. The stereotypes that we already have to go through aren’t getting better because of these bad behaving public figures. They make it look like these generalizations about girls are true and there’s not much we can do except tweet to them until their publicist decides to block us.
So who are these celebs that make us look so bad? We listed these 12 ladies that we like watching for entertainment purposes but beg the audience to not think of them as role models.
12 Mischa Barton-Trouble in Paradise
Mischa Barton became famous when she starred in the hit series, The OC. She was popular back then but once the show ended, Barton’s career seemed to have ended as well. Not only did the teen star disappear, but she went through some dark times while MIA. It first seemed like the actress was on good terms with her career when she said she would focus on her fashion design career but that didn’t fly so well. From then on, her personal life took a toll when she was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of illegal substances back in 2007. She was then seen partying in Hollywood with some of the most recognized celebrities who were known to hit the party scene. We know how that never goes well. At this point, it doesn’t look like Barton is going to recover any time soon, we wish her the best.
11 Brandi Glanville-Your Frenemy
When you think about good girlfriends, Brandi Glanville isn’t exactly what comes to mind. If you’ve watched The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, you know exactly why she isn’t the best example of a good girlfriend. She’s been called a liar, and has even been sued for slander and emotional distress by another real housewife, Joanna Krupa. Yeah, that doesn’t sound like a good girlfriend at all. She makes other women look really bad with the way she carries herself on the show and other public appearances. What kind of classy lady slaps her friend out of nowhere in the middle of a conversation? That’s right. Glanville slapped Lisa Vanderpump during a trip while Vanderpump was trying to make amends with the troubled reality star on an episode of RHBH. Brandi is no longer on the show because of obvious reasons. The 45-year-old left the reality series since she just wasn’t fitting in with the rest of the cast members. The reality TV actress then went on to star in other reality TV shows because she really has nothing else better to do.
10 Katy Perry- Trying Too Hard
This entry is a little more personal. Katy Perry is a bad example of a role model for various reasons but mostly because she has been an awful friend and apparently a really bad wife. According to various online sources, and what we have witnessed over the years, she has been the worst friend ever. Remember when she was bffs with Rihanna? Then she turned her back on her when all the Chris Brown drama happened, like the worst friend ever. Or when she dated John Mayer after her friend Taylor Swift did, then stole Swift's backups dancers. A bad friend and really mean move. The way her ex friends and ex husband describe her, can only be interpreted as a selfish, mean human. Bad example, we need to stick together!
9 Bella Thorne-Too Free Spirited
Bella Thorne has gone through such a transformation since her days on Shake It Up on Disney Channel. Of course, what do you expect from a Disney Channel actress? We’ve all seen them go through the teen days of rebellious acts, adult-ing, etc. She told the LGBT + Out magazine that she didn’t feel like herself during her Disney days and now she’s able to express herself. “I was never that proper, sweet girl, but I was so scared to be myself in any way,” she said. “I became this person I didn’t know. Finally, when I got off the channel…I got to a point of, ‘OK, I know who I am now.’” Good for you Bella on the whole “being yourself” thing but does that mean you have to take it off to express who you really are? We don’t really think so.
8 Nicki Minaj-Have Some Class
Although, people love Nicki Minaj and her music, that doesn’t mean she’s exactly a good person. Word on the street is the rapper is not that friendly. For instance, during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, her and Miley Cyrus almost went at it and it was nerve racking to watch. “I saw [Miley] just looking at me, with her face screwed up, and I thought, What the?!” she tells New York Times Magazine about the hot moment at the award show. The whole moment stirred up because of a Twitter war over the nominations for Video of the Year. “What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind," Cyrus said. "It’s not very polite.” The rapper then put Miley on blast at the award show with “Miley, what’s good?” I guess the hip hop star couldn’t keep it to herself until perhaps the two could hash it out privately in a classy behavior. Leave it to the “Anaconda” rapper to start petty drama.
7 Taylor Swift-Girl Issues
T-Swift might be popular and her fans are so loyal to her and her music career. But for those of us who are not exactly hardcore fans of hers, we see what she’s really all about. We’re talking about her music being all about her struggling love life which is the ultimate stereotype of girls dating. She talks or sings about her exes and what went wrong in every single song. Yet, she never really talks about what she did wrong. She has admitted that she likes dating bad boy types and knows she has to stop eventually but that’s about it. This is usually what drives men crazy is how the girl never admits she did something wrong and always plays the victim. Taylor needs to stop putting the blame on all the guys she’s dated and making money off of it so girls can get a break from all the bad stereotyping. So Taylor, if you can come back with a new album that’s not about your exes and why they ruined everything, that would be great.
6 Amber Rose-Shameless
Amber Rose is a model and rapper who has been seen with a couple of stars including dating them. She is very much a controversial figure in pop culture. The 33-year-old often likes to stir things up and enjoys being an open book. We haven’t seen much of Rose lately, but she’s usually an open book, literally. The rapper has been seen frolicking topless in Miami beach and posting the most provocative photos of her on Instagram in a two peace string bikini and made us question “is that even a piece of clothing?” Perhaps this style of choice wasn’t the best way to promote her move with the SlutWalk Festival and neither is the name of choice for the walk. With the SlutWalk, Rose wanted to stand up for diversity including women who get hate for being provocative dancers like she once was. It was hard for her to be taken seriously but can you blame the media for not treating her like she was hoping for? Perhaps the next time she wants to stand up for a cause, she should consider toning down her style first.
5 Miley Cyrus-Backs It Up On Other People's Boyfriends
Miley Cyrus is yet another example of how Disney Stars come and go. Even though we are starting to see the old Miley come back this year, it’s still too early to count her out of this list of celebs who make other girls look bad. We all know how Cyrus came into the world of entertainment. We first fell in love with the actress when she starred in the Disney series, Hannah Montana. But of course, she was growing up in front of us. Suddenly, Miley exploded into this rebellious act. She began to wear less, dance more provocatively (twerking) and her music was also changing. We can’t forget how she left her mark at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards along with Robin Thicke when they twerked on stage like no one was watching. Newsflash, millions were watching including Thicke’s wife and perhaps Cyrus’s ex, Liam Hemsworth. We can take a wild guess at why those two split up. The point is Cyrus hasn’t been the best role model the past few years but considering her comeback this year, she might just change our minds.
4 Kylie Jenner-Too Young to do Anything
If Kylie Jenner didn’t become famous at such a young age, then the KUWTK star wouldn’t be getting so much hate. But because she started at age 18, she gets a lot of backlash. We watched Jenner be silly like the kid she was along with sister, Kendall Jenner, on the popular reality show. Suddenly, the youngest of all them blew up and became an addiction for all Kardashian lovers. It was her unique style that first grabbed everyone’s eye then she became obsessed with switching up her style and her entire look. Everyone remembers when Kylie’s signature feature took over the world which is now a billion empire. We are talking about her lips. Suddenly, the little girl we watched on KUWTK had these voluptuous lips that didn’t go with the rest of her look. She eventually admitted to them being lip injections but that wasn’t the end. Little by little, her body started becoming voluptuous and people began confronting the teenager for growing up too fast and being fake. Of course, she is not the best role model for girls her age but they love her so there’s no stopping now for the youngest Kardashian.
3 Lindsay Lohan-Lost Cause
Lindsay Lohan has been on one of the craziest Hollywood rollercoaster rides this town has ever seen. We have watched her grow up into someone we don't know anymore. No matter what style she goes for, she’s never going to be that one sweet child actor we once knew like in the days of The Parent Trap. Her days of falling off first started when we found her in almost every paparazzi picture drunk at the club with other celebs such as Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. She was growing up on television but not in the best way. We also can’t forget how those club days weren’t all just fun. There were bumpy rides with addiction and going against the law which was the ultimate rock bottom for the actress. Lohan has since gone to rehab a couple of times but it’s unfortunate she hasn’t exactly recovered yet but is it really a surprise after committing to such unattractive acts for a long period of time? She just gives that party girl a bad name.
2 Kim Kardashian-It's Her World & We're Just Living in it
The Kardashians in general are a controversial group of girls that could be considered as celebrities that make other girls look bad but when you think about it, none of them would even exist, or at least their brands, if it weren’t for Kim Kardashian. The Kardashian reality star is known for craving attention for every move she does and it became even more suspicious when she found herself robbed in Paris last year. There was so much question about whether the Kardashian was robbed in reality or just for her own reality show. It’s been a couple of months since the scary event took place, and even with so much information already released, some people have stayed neutral with the whole thing, not entirely believing it actually happened. This just tells you how far Kim has gone just to keep herself relevant, whether that’s going completely naked for a magazine cover or putting on an act in one of the world’s most popular cities. Kim K. just makes other girls look bad and thirsty and prove the stereotype of wanting attention all the time.
1 Blac Chyna-Every Guy's Worst Nightmare
Ever since Blac Chyna got with the Kardashian brother, Rob Kardashian, things have been such a roller coaster with the video vixen. Right from the beginning, we all knew this was going to be a crazy ride, considering she got with her ex’s girlfriend’s brother. Everyone couldn’t get enough of how she had the audacity to date Rob knowing the messy situation. But none of the backlash got in the way of the mother of two. That was just the start but fast-forward to their relationship going through on and off engagements, Chyna was every boyfriend’s nightmare. According to the Kardashian brother, Chyna would engage in physical aggression when they would fight and not only did she take his stuff away from their house but she also went M.I.A. with their own child. We all watched the drama on their show Rob & Chyna and at this point, it’s all just for attention but for the wrong reasons.
