It's easy to think that the rich and famous play in the same social circles, making it really easy for them to find romance. But this isn't always the case. Sometimes, celebrities are just like us in that they find love at work. There are many celebrity couples who met on set, such as Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively who met on the set of Green Lantern. It's not only on the set of movies that love can bloom between stars, however. Singers Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton met because they were both judges on the singing competition The Voice, while Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos met on the set of the soapie All My Children.

It's not always their careers that can help celebrities find love. Interestingly, some star couples have met each other online, whether it was on a dating app, such as is the case for comedienne and actress Amy Schumer, or a social media site. Mandy Moore, for example, grabbed the attention of Taylor Goldsmith on Instagram by posting a picture of his band. Wow, it just goes to show that celebrities are really not all that different from us when it comes to matters of the heart! Here are 10 celebrity couples who met thanks to social media, followed by 10 who met on set.

Iggy told Metro. But sadly, it wasn't a fairytale relationship. They were engaged in 2015, but then broke up a year later, and things got ugly. They broke off their engagement because of trust issues, with Iggy later stating that she'd caught Nick betrayed her.

In Amy's memoir The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo, the comedienne spills the beans on how she met furniture company founder Ben Hanisch on an exclusive dating app called Raya.

"He was dancing with his grandmother in his profile picture at what looked like a wedding,"

Amy says, according to the Chicago Tribune. "We sent each other very simple hellos and short, funny messages." A few weeks later, they met up and dated for about a year. In 2017, they broke up, although they were said to remain on friendly terms.

16 Amber Rose And Wiz Khalifa

Sometimes love and work collide on social media, leading to surprising events. That was true for how model Amber Rose met rapper Wiz Khalifa. "Initially we met through twitter.

He did an interview about me and the guy who interviewed him asked, 'If there was one girl in the world who would you be with?' He said 'Amber Rose,'"

Amber recalled, according Nicki Swift. "And then I hit him on twitter and I said, 'That's really cute,' and we fell in love!" The couple reached the aisle in 2013 and had a son together, but then got divorced a year later, due to cheating rumors concerning both of them.

14 Bella Thorne And Gregg Sulkin

If you've ever fantasized about finding love on Facebook, it really is possible. That's what happened for actors Bella Thorne and Gregg Sulkin. As Clevver reports, they chatted on Facebook for a while, then took their relationship offline and ended up dating for around a year. In August 2016, the pair delivered a mutual statement to E! When singer Ricky Martin saw a beautiful piece of art posted by painter Jwan Yosef on Instagram, he was inspired to visit the artist's page and find out more. The rest is history! The pair started chatting online, but they didn't meet up immediately. They spoke for a whopping six months before deciding to get together in London, Clevver reports.

Since then, Ricky and Jwan certainly have painted a pretty picture when it comes to their relationship, proving that social media can lead to soulmates.

The couple got married in 2017.

12 Naya Rivera And Big Sean

Rapper Big Sean made a bold first move on actress Naya Rivera by sliding into her DM on Twitter and telling her he's a fan of hers. Naya later revealed to People that they went out for dinner afterwards. Nice one. Sadly, though, although the couple got engaged after just six months of dating, which was back in 2013, they never did reach the altar. According to the Daily Mail, Big Sean called off their wedding in 2014 due to Naya's jealousy and anger outbursts.

11 Whitney Cummings And Miles Skinner

Comedienne Whitney Cummings met her fiancé, Miles Skinner, who works in advertising, on a dating app back in 2017, then shared his proposal on Instagram earlier this year. As reported by Pure Wow, Whitney also told her followers on the social media site,

“Today I got engaged. I handled it great! This just goes to show that if you work on yourself, trust your gut, and keep your ego in check, you too can find love on a dating app.”

Funny, but true!

10 Star Couples Who Met On Set

10 Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan

We all experienced serious couple envy when watching Step Up in 2006, so it felt like even more of a fairytale when we learned that actors Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan took their love into real life after filming the movie. Channing had told Redbook,

"We were basically together on the movie. It's interesting now, because we can watch it and see; we can go, 'Oh, wow, that was actually our real first kiss.'

As soon as the movie wrapped, we went back to L.A. and were together, and together ever since." Sadly, although the couple got married in 2009 and had a child three years later, they split up in 2018.

9 Javier Bardem And Penelope Cruz

Actors Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem met on the set of the 1992 film, Jamon Jamon. Interestingly, though, they didn't start dating right away. It took until 2007 for them to start dating, after they re-connected on the movie Vicki Christina Barcelona, as Panda Gossips reports. Although they've kept their relationship really private, Javier did disclose to GQ in 2012 that he's happily married. The two got married in 2010."I breathe and stay in peace," he said, as reported by Algoa FM.

"I truly thank whoever's up there for giving me the opportunity to be loved."

They've since had two children.

8 Freddie Prinze Jr. And Sarah Michelle Gellar

Back in 1997, both actors starred in the horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer. However, it was by accident that they started dating three years later.

"We made plans for dinner with a mutual friend and the person canceled,"

7 Ashton Kutcher And Mila Kunis

Actors Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher might be happily married with kids now, but it's strange to think they actually met on the set of That '70s Show in 1998. Just look how young they were! Sweetly, they wound up playing love interests on the sitcom, and Ashton was Mila's first on-screen kiss. "I was so nervous and uncomfortable," she confessed in a People interview.

"I had the biggest crush on him."

But they only started dating many years later. In January 2014, Mila was seen wearing a diamond ring, as PopSugar reports, confirming that they were engaged.

6 Ryan Gosling And Eva Mendes

Another Hollywood couple that's been secretive about their relationship, actors Eva Mendez and Ryan Gosling first met in 2011 on the set of The Place Beyond The Pines. As PopSugar reports, they started dating while filming the movie. They played a troubled couple with a child, but soon they started dating in real life, and their relationship's been much sweeter than that of their characters. While trying to keep their romance under wraps, their relationship was confirmed when they were spotted at Disneyland in 2011 sharing candy, hugging, and holding hands. Awww! They've since had two daughters together, and are still going strong.

5 Mark Consuelos And Kelly Ripa

American actress Kelly Ripa met her now-husband Mark Consuelos on the set of All My Children. As Woman's Day reports, Mark thought Kelly was gorgeous and he was interested in her, but he didn't think he had a shot with her. They soon became friends while playing love interests on the soapie and then began dating in real life.

A few months after dating, they decided to elope.

Sweetly, their characters on the show got married too! Earlier this year, Kelly and Mark have celebrated 22 years of marriage, and they have three kids.

4 Alyson Hannigan And Alexis Denisof

That 90s TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer had us gripped with romances on the show, but behind the scenes love was also brewing! During season three, when Alexis Denisof pitched up, it was an instant attraction for Alyson Hannigan.

"I was trying to pursue him, but he said he didn't want to date somebody he was working with,"

she told The Sun in 2012, according to E Online. "But we developed a great friendship." It took the couple two years before they started dating, back in 1999. "I took my mom's advice and thought really hard about the whole thing and didn't marry until I was nearly 30," Alyson recalls. They got married in 2003 and are still together, while being parents to two children.

3 Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith

When actress Jada Pinkett auditioned for a role on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air in 1995, she was hoping to play the part of Will Smith's girlfriend. But she was rejected for the role because she was too short. However, real-life love soon bloomed with Will. Jada confessed that she and Will started dating in 1995 when he hadn't properly divorced from his then-wife. They got married in 1997, and in spite of some speculations that cropped up regarding whether or not they'll stay together, Will said in an interview with Tidal's Rap Radar podcast that he and Jada don't say they're married but refer to each other as life partners. They're solid!

2 Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton

Singers Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton met on The Voice when they were both hired as judges on the show. A source told E! News at the time,

"They are definitely flirty on the set and you can see they have fun together. There is something going on between them and they have spent time together off set."

Once they got divorced to their significant others (Gwen was married to Gavin Rossdale and Blake was married to Miranda Lambert), they were spotted around together, but still tried to keep their relationship private. Recently, Blake gushed over gorgeous Gwen, Country Living reports, proving they're still mad about each other.

1 Ryan Reynolds And Blake Lively

Back in 2010, actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds played love interests in Green Lantern but were dating other people in real life. Blake was with Penn Badgley and Ryan was married to Scarlett Johansson. Once they were both single and ready to mingle, they still didn't get together. Weirdly, they went on a double date with other people.

"That was the most awkward date because we were just like fireworks coming across,"

Ryan said, as reported by Elite Daily. He went on to say that they started out as friends before their love could bloom. And bloom it did! In 2012, they got married.
